Living Church of God: Masonic Temple Refuses To Renew Contract For Church Sending Lil'Jimmy Into A Frantic Search

The weirdest comment below is about Mario Hernandez, the narcissistic abusive legalist masquerading as a minister, where he claims he saw "demons" in the Masonic Lodge that the Charlotte congregation has met in for years.  I can guarantee you that Mario did not see any demons.  That is a fact.  The crazy magical thinking that is predominate in the Church God is fertile ground for such crazy imaginations.  Just look at what it has done to Bob Thiel!

From an LCG source:

The Masonic temple in Charlotte is not renewing LCG's rental contract (there is construction planned on the site) so Lil Jimmy is running around Charlotte trying to figure out an alternative meeting place for weekly Sabbath services.

In true LCG hypocrisy, many ministers and members explain away the trial by saying that "God doesn't want His people worshipping Him from such a Pagan temple". I've also heard people say that "God is protecting LCG from demons that Mario Hernandez saw in the Masonic hall" so He orchestrated a way for His people to be forced out of that hall.

The reason statements like this stink of hypocrisy is that during the McNair /League Purge of 2014, people were kicked out of church for voicing concerns about the temple LCG was holding weekly services in and accused of "causing division".

Now LCG wants to use the very same reason people were kicked out in their defense! They have no shame.

Lil' Jim must now find an equally comfy hall but with "room for growth" because they continue to preach that the "work is growing" and they are so delusional they actually believe that they need a hall that will hold 500-600 people so they are "prepared" when all this "growth" occurs.

Lil' Jimmy's search is not going to be easy. The church is broke so they need something cheap in addition to needing something fast. Most "worldly" churches aren't an option because although Mr. Meredith appears to be okay with corn hanging from the ceiling in weird ritual rooms, bizarre alters on the same stage he uses to preach from, pentagrams, all-seeing eyes, Baphamets, Masonic bibles and worshipping from "Pagan temples", Old Man Meredith draws a hard line when it comes to having church in a hall that might have stained glass depictions of Biblical stories or heaven forbid... a cross.

  1. Makes me chuckle. The "church" never wanted the expense and trouble of building and maintaining properties for local congregations as that would leave less funds for high living by the principals who luxuriated like oriental potentates. It was easier to rent something somebody else had to shoulder the maintenance headaches over. Headquarters was a different matter. That's where the head honchos could show off and enjoy all the perks like gyms and handball courts. I used to give tours around the old Ambassador campus and brag about this and about that. Kinda nostalgic to think back to all that, but it was all so empty and futile.

  2. Why don't they use the gymnasium model, popular in the '60s and '70s in the old WCG?
Nothing wrong with the AC gym and the Imperial gyms back in the day. No pagan sex symbols, although there were reports of the AC gym having been haunted. You'd think with the penchant towards Herbolatry, L'il Jimbo would be out scouring the gymnasiums in the Charlotte area. The schools could probably use a little financial shot in the arm, so it would also be a nice and rare gesture of civic duty performed by a lowly ACOG.

    1. Becauae that was pre-Equal Access Act, most likely.

  3. I understand Joe Tkach Jr is moving to Charlotte. Jim should wait until his father passes and talk to Joe about getting a smaller hall to fit the congregation . Joe has started M. T. Hall and Associates and is an expert in matching Church shrinkage to the appropriate size hall or living room or even why bother with it. Just retire well and talk about how Surprising God is. :)

  4. Didn't think Lodges actually used Baphomets. Ive seen that allegation levied before, but have never seen or heard of one used in a Lodge. The Taxil hoax maybe?

Anyway, on WCG precedent, there are always union halls, private school gyms, community centers...

  5. 7.46 PM so Joes church is moving to Charlotte. So despite Joes church's denial, they want the warm of the 'mother church.' Just like the Catholics with their protestant daughter churches.

    1. Aside fron the occasional group trying to establish good relations with the local Catholic church, I'm not sure what you're talking about?

  6. I believe Mario might be right! He saw RCM in the hall!

  7. It's a shame that this is happening right now. Another year or two, RCM could die and after that, it's likely that the LCG headquarters church could meet in a broom closet.

In other news, over at Web M.D. there's a slideshow on Schizophrenia:

    What Are the Symptoms?
    They include:

    - Hallucinations: hearing or seeing imaginary things
    - Delusions: wildly false beliefs
    - Paranoia: the fear that others are plotting against you

Some signs, such as lack of enjoyment in everyday life and withdrawal from social activities, may mimic depression.

It just seemed appropriate some how.

  8. When I left LCG a couple of years ago, I heard of rumblings that multiple congregations were losing their halls. Why don't they just use gyms you ask? Because LCG only wants halls that are dirt cheap to rent. School gyms are no longer in that category. The congregations that still meet in school gyms are pretty much only there because they have been there so long that the contract stays low. Its when the schools wise up and ask for more money that they go somewhere else. Its not a big deal for the smaller congregations have to find somewhere else on the cheap but the larger ones run into challenges.

  9. Hey, maybe they can set up tents outside.

It'll be just like the old Feast.

  10. Black Ops, you brought back memories of camping in the East Texas woods for the Feast back there in the late Fifties. I have to admit, there were enjoyable moments associated with that. I was young and "gung ho" at the time. I really don't think that would work very well on a weekly basis in most places though.

  11. While technically it’s true that the Sottish Rite temple is not renewing LCG’s rental contract, it’s because they are selling it to a developer who is going to convert the whole property into a 198-unit age-restricted community (i.e. senior housing) named Overture Cotswold. So, the temple cannot rent the property to anyone, it’s not that they are refusing to do so.

On the positive side, perhaps the LCG could relocate a portion of its aging ministry to the new development.

    1. Uh oh! Doesn't the LCG demon phobia have some superstitious aspects about old folk? So would that mean that the aging LCG ministers would have double exposure---grounds a pagan temple was on + (gasp!) senior citizens who might have been (oh no!!!) "hippies" in their younger years?

  12. Or... here's a suggestion that will provide positive results:

Disband the Living Church of God and go out of business.

It's pretty useless, so why not end it now before entropy does it for you?

  13. Why not subdivide the church members and have everyone meet in the top ministers' homes. They certainly look large enough to handle the crowds. The membership could see how the top people live.

  14. "LCG source"...Yeah, I'm sure that's a factual statement, LOL.
