Monte Wolverton: The Remnant

  1. "Ninety percent of the world’s population has been eliminated, and religion is to blame, apparently, leading to an attack on the remaining ten percent of the population"

You mean the Armstrongists finally got control of the world?

A man searching for true religion.

Neither Armstrongism nor GCI is going to help anyone find it.

If you really like dystopian science fiction, you can head on over to Syfy which has a whole new year of it coming with some perfectly dreadful grayish leached out mostly colorless landscapes (which all look the same, really -- shared sets?). The book is science fiction. So is British Israelism.

Armstrongists really love their science fiction....

And yeah, hasn't Monte moved on with the New Covenant?

    Greg Albrecht is his publisher.

    Don't expect any cartoons....

  2. Like father like son, a fascination with illustrating and describing Apocalyptic events. Must be a "gene" thing!

  3. Seems like we've all got our influences, and we've all got to do what we've got to do. Each, in their own way, is continuing to attempt to make sense of, or to adjust this shared experience with a certain avant garde religion. The stuff was sold hard, and at least at one point, convincingly on some levels, and it manifests itself as a continuing influence or modifier. In some cases, the surreal quality of it all presented a radical solution, which was what made it attractive to some. Eccentric is not equivalent to intelligent, novel, or correct, although it can be sold as such.

  4. I have always noticed that there is a BIG difference between those that "speak for Gauwd" and those that "listen to God".
