Herbert Armstrong's Tangled Web of Corrupt Leaders

Ron Weinland: "I am the counterpart of John who wrote the Book of Revelation"

Where would the Church of God be without all of its apostles" and "prophets?"  They somehow believe their god has appointed them to this position, but each and every one of them has self-appointed themselves to a non-existent position in the church.  It really frosts all of their pampered privileged butts that Herbert Armstrong declared that there are NO prophets in the church today.

Ron Weinland goes on to proclaim:
As time continued on, I knew and was then able to accept the fact that I was a full prophet of God. I had come to see many things God was giving me to know that only a full prophet could fulfill. However, that still was not an easy thing for me, but instead, a very uncomfortable one. Even then I did not realize that He had first made me an apostle to His Church, even before being made a prophet. God had raised up one last apostle to lead the Church from the destruction it had begun to experience in December of 1994. I was given charge to raise up a prophesied remnant of the Church that would continue on to Christ’s actual coming.
So yes, I am both an apostle and a prophet of God and of Jesus Christ to the Church of God, and to the world, in this final period of the end-time. I am the last apostle in this age of mankind’s self-rule.
Then, not satisfied with his role as a prophet, he claims he is the modern day John, the NEW author of revelation.
Yet even more, I am the counterpart of John who wrote the Book of Revelation. He was the only other apostle whom God also made a prophet. John wrote the book, but did not understand the revelation it contained. It was not for his time, but for the end-time that would lead up to the return of Jesus Christ in the Kingdom of God that will reign over all mankind for 1,100 years. Nearly all of the Book of Revelation is about those things that would occur in the end-time which lead to the Kingdom of God being established on earth for 1,100 years.
Then to PROVE he is the same as John he writes:
Just as John was imprisoned and placed on the Isle of Patmos and then given the contents for the Book of Revelation that he wrote, I too am currently in prison as I am writing this book.
When John wrote the Book of Revelation, he had no idea what he was writing.  It was not to be understood until Ron Weinland hit the scene.  Even Herbert Armstrong had no idea!

John wrote the book of Revelation, but God has given to me to show the full interpretation and full meaning of what is written in it. God gave some understanding to Herbert W. Armstrong concerning certain sections of Revelation, which primarily had to do with a great false church and a final revival of the European Roman Empire. It had six previous revivals that have often been referred to as revivals of the old Holy Roman Empire. The sixth one was primarily under the rule of Hitler during WWII. One more is prophesied to rise and has been forming for the past 66 years now. It is prophesied to become ten nations that will form the final configuration of a United States of Europe.

  1. No shortage of yuks, even though he's got a drought in terms of followers!

When Weinland first burst upon the scene, Gavin pointed out to us all that he was altogether different from your typical garden-variety ACOG prophet, because he was putting it all on the line and promised to admit being a false prophet and going away if all he said didn't come to pass on schedule. Like everyone else before him, Weinland backpedalled as his prophecies failed. Even prison didn't persuade him to keep his original promise. Like all the others, he proved to be a fraud!

  2. Both prophet and apostle?
    I feel embarrassed for Ron.
It's hard to believe that this man has followers. Are they brain dead or what?

  3. Ron needs to grasp the reality that Revelation is not a book for today. Written between January and the Fall of the Temple on Sept 8th, 70, it was the failed swan song of militant Jewish Christianity. Revelation took a mere two years to prove mistaken and a false prophecy rather than end in the glorious 3.5 year defeat of Rome which would come around 72 but of course did not (Not 1972).

The Seven Kings, five of which were fallen , (Julius-Augustus- Tiberius-Caligula-Claudius), one now is , that is the sixth or Nero and the Seventh, Galba is not yet come. The eighth was Vespasian proclaimed Emperor in July of 69 and came to power in December of the same year. Vespasian was to be the last ruler of Rome, the man of sin, the antichrist who would be destroyed by the Jewish Christ. Of course it did not happen and Rome won.

Apologists have tried to make the fallen Kings as fallen past empires beginning at Egypt but this is neither the context nor intent of this prophecy against the Rome of 70 AD.

This of course is all contained between the opening promise that these are things which must shortly come to pass and “behold I come quickly...”. Those shortlies were for then. They were not and are
    for today.

The Beast...Vespasian who ruled from 69-79 was to be cast into the lake of fire in the failed prophecy. The False prophet, who Jewish Christians considered the False Apostle Paul to be, was also cast into the Lake of Fire with him.. It could easily have been Paul who the Ephesian Church tried as a false Apostle and rejected. Jewish Christians hated the Apostle Paul for many reasons. Even Paul says “All Asia...where Ephesus is, “have forsaken me” and then never tells us why. When ALL ASIA forsakes you, I imagine it would be good to ask yourself why. ALL is quite a bit. He simply says he forgives them.

So Paul and Vespasian get tossed eventually into the lake of fire....but in reality , the Jewish Christians went thru the fire at the hands of Vespasian and the Jewish Christians lost their place in history under the combined assault of Orthodox Judaism and of Paul’s Gentile Christianity.

The conflict is easily seen between Peter, James and John against Paul in Galatians 1-2 and the Book of James written to challenge Paul’s concept of faith without works etc.

Those who use Revelation to define today will end up just as disappointed as the Jewish Christian Church did in 70 AD, It is not for today. It’s day has passed.

  4. If John really thought Jesus would come then, he must have been as crazy as Ron.

  5. Ron Weinland: “People Hate Me Because I Am An Apostle – Like HWA and Paul”

    No.

People despise you because you are a liar and a thief – like Gerald Flurry and David Pack.

  6. The sixth one was primarily under the rule of Hitler during WWII.

Actually, Hitler declared war on the USA because Roosevelt was already sinking German ships (there was a big media coverup) and he broke his deal with Russia and invaded them because they were mounting a huge attack force on their side of the line, so he felt he had no choice. He didn't start bombing London until after the British had been bombing Germany for weeks already, and he ordered his troops to let the British escape at Dunkirk (it as no miracle) because he was hoping that gesture of mercy would show the British his intentions towards them were peaceful.

So, he hardly seems like a likely candidate for the Beast.

Churches can only get away with demonizing him because the victors write history, not because the history we were told is accurate.

Judas priest Dennis, you're missing the whole point. Ron could give a rats behind about scripture. Ron puts it all out there on the front lawn (unlike our buddy Dave Pack who is getting more and more isolated in his compound like N Korea). For Ron, it's all just a game to see how far he can go and still maintain a following; I can sense it in his occasional silly laugh when speaking- make no mistake, he is blatantly laughing in the face of his increasingly fewer followers. Ron believes in nothing more than the god between his ears.

My congregation had a psychopathic WCG minister like that. There were mocking laughing tones in his voice as (mis)quoted scriptures to lord it over members. He made no attempt to hide it.

That is an interesting theory. Anything is possible. Every part of the entire COG spectrum probably gets covered by someone. The rubber chicken photo sure makes Ron look like he had a sense of humour from his youth on up. Ron could reasonably argue that the books he wrote were obviously just silly prophetic fantasy fiction and that it was a person's own fault if they were stupid enough to take them too seriously.

Maybe Ronald McWeinland is the type of clown who is into the enjoyment of life: travelling, shopping, dinning out, telling silly prophetic jokes, getting paid for not working, laughing at the system, etc.

Ronald Weinland might have been badly influenced by other false prophets like Gerald Flurry and David Pack. Ron might have seen what they do and get away with, and realized that anything goes, and that there is no need to be ashamed of even the most shameful behavior.

  11. Surely Ron has gone off the deep end.

Between him and Dave Pack, I don't know which is crazier, but I would like to give each of them a swift kick in the nuts.

  12. Ron may be laughing inappropriately and at inappropriate times because he is responding to the voices in his head...

  14. At this point the Beast looks more like the U.S. of A than the U.S. of Europe. Who is invading places all over the world? The USA secret forces are in 90% of African countries and Americans don't even know it, they are all watching the World Series.

Don't put words in my mouth. It's lying. That makes you a liar. Liars are why nobody understands Hitler, and why churches can use that to scare people into their cults.

  16. N. Korea is isolated because the USA bullies anyone they can into isolation. That is what bullies do, persecute anyone they can't control and turn everyone against the target. They did the same thing to Japan, which turned Japan into the zombie-bank vassal state that it is today.

In your defense of the hate machine, you forgot to mention that the Jewish American general Eisenhower intentionally starved to death 1.5 million German POWs. Then, instead of going to the gallows for war crimes he became a US president.

  20. What does this post have to do with Hitler? Why is the church filled with so many idiots such as this? Millions of Jews were not killed but only put on diets to loose some weight. Conspiracy theories find fertile ground with Armstrongites, for some stupid reason.

  21. more WCG nonsense....nonsense that still has parts of my family trapped in the LCG prison camp.. regurgitating HWA's errors.

The facts on the ground as of today are:

USA/NATO/EU/Israel: King of the North (fourth Reich)
Islamic nations: King of the South
    Russia/China: Kings of the East

    Trump is the potential "antichrist"
    Francis is the False Prophet

Sounds like you are on the same page a Gerald Flurry.

Actually, I worry more about than Assad, Putin and Assad destroyed ISIS while the USA was giving them arms. But now the USA wants to take credit. What a bunch of losers.
