Modern-day COG self-appointed prophets have the perverse innate desire to compare themselves to biblical prophets and visionaries. From declaring themselves Elijah, Elisha, Amos to even the two witnesses, their grandiose imaginations know no boundaries. As we head into 90 some years of the COG's existence, not a single one of these men (and a couple women) have ever told the truth or made a correct prophecy. That never stops them though. From Jesus walking the grounds of Wadsworth with the most superfantabulous apostle ever to walk this earth to Gerald Flurry who has given himself so many different names that he can't figure out anymore who he is supposed to be.
And then there is...
Not-arrested, but almost-arrested Elijah, Elisha, Amos, Joshua, doubly-blessed and self-appointed prophet, apostle, and future martyr Bob Thiel, God's most important man ever to walk the earth...after Dave Pack, of course.
Besides the many names apostate Thiel has given himself, he also compares himself to Habbakuk. Like the biblical Habbakuk, apostate Thiel believes he too is being ignored, even though his message is vitally important.
Apparently, apostate Thiel believes that Habbakuk is specifically talking about the improperly named "continuing" Church of God.
He writes:
God has NOT, I repeat, HAS NOT, revealed or used the self-appointed lying apostate Thiel or the improperly named "continuing" Church of God as a final witness, no matter how much he claims.Around 605-625 B.C. Habakkuk wrote a short book of the Bible that has a lot of implications for the time that we are now in.Here are some passages from it (italics are not inspired but were headings in the translation):1 The burden which the prophet Habakkuk saw.
The Prophet’s Question
2 O Lord, how long shall I cry, And You will not hear? Even cry out to You, “Violence!”And You will not save. 3 Why do You show me iniquity, And cause me to see trouble? For plundering and violence are before me;There is strife, and contention arises. 4 Therefore the law is powerless, And justice never goes forth. For the wicked surround the righteous; Therefore perverse judgment proceeds.
The Lord’s Reply
5 “Look among the nations and watch — Be utterly astounded! For I will work a work in your days Which you would not believe, though it were told you. 6 For indeed I am raising up the Chaldeans, A bitter and hasty nation Which marches through the breadth of the earth, To possess dwelling places that are not theirs. 7 They are terrible and dreadful; Their judgment and their dignity proceed from themselves. 8 Their horses also are swifter than leopards,And more fierce than evening wolves. Their chargers charge ahead; Their cavalry comes from afar; They fly as the eagle that hastens to eat. 9 “They all come for violence; Their faces are set like the east wind. They gather captives like sand. 10 They scoff at kings, And princes are scorned by them. They deride every stronghold, For they heap up earthen mounds and seize it. 11 Then his mind changes, and he transgresses; He commits offense, Ascribing this power to his god.” ( Habakkuk 1:1-11)Notice that the above states that the end time work will not be believed by many even though God will reveal it–which He does through His prophets, like Habakkuk.
Apostate Thiel goes into almost orgasmic ecstasy with his burning desire to see the United States destroyed and its people thrown into captivity, while he and a few of his chosen ones share Petra with James Malm.
No one in their right mind should be sending money to support apostate Thiel and his improperly named "continuing" Church of God.Here is something that was written in 1973 for the old Ambassador College by Dean Blackwell:Why do you think in Habakkuk, God said that He’d “revive His work in the midst of the years”? Would this be said if they were doing the work in all the time of the New Testament Church?
You might note that in Habakkuk 3:2, he says: O Eternal, I have heard thy speech and was afraid: O Eternal, revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy. He is referring to God reviving His work in the midst of man’s last century. He said that God would make known what is happening and what’s going to happen in man’s last years, in the day of His wrath. He requested that God remember mercy and hide His people in a place of safety. The work needs to be done in the 21st century. Will you truly support it?
XCOG leaders claiming that they and certain world leaders are specifically mentioned in the bible, assumes that God micro manages the world. That's not Gods nature.
ReplyDeleteWow. We’ve got to wait for 122 more years for the last century (if man has 6,000 years) according to the Jewish preserver of the oracles (it is now Hebrew year 5,778). Now we can understand why people will eventually be forced to listen to Bob Thiel! The fact that he is the oldest man living during the final century will finally provide the attention that he believes he should have as Habakkuk! So, finally, he will be able to stop complaining and will be able to begin to prophesy!

Poor Bob. When Meredith would request a list of LCG's top donors, he would see Bob's name and know to pay attention to his wealthy son in the faith, a son who actually donated more money than any of Meredith's birth-sons (except for Michael Meredith when he was still an elder making big bucks as an insurance company executive).
ReplyDeleteNow, most of the people paying attention to Bwana Bob are the Africans who need laptop computers, cameras, cars, buildings and all the other goods that one needs in order to be a Philadelphia Christian.
Someday, Butthurt Bob may learn that prophets who whine are considered far less credible than ones whose clear and unambiguous prophecies are quickly and plainly fulfilled. Maybe Bob could predict today the name of a Super Bowl player whose career will be ruined next month by a serious injury. Of course, he won't do that, because he's in fact a newsreader, not a prophet.
I thought Malm was going to Pella?
ReplyDeleteThe Lord says: "For I will work a work in your days Which you would not believe, though it were told you. "
ReplyDeleteThat's the only prediction I agree with that clearly predicts the WCG and all it's splits, splinters and slivers. It was and they are in-credibly unbelievable.... Sometimes I lay awake at night wondering how I ever got involved with such an unbelievable and mistaken bunch of human beings.
Alas, I realize that in the day, you could have not dissuaded me. I'm idealistic and was pretty darn well uninformed in that day myself.
But the prediction by the Lord is accurate. Just not in the way we thought.
It's so funny and totally cracks me up when these "wannabe important people" claim that because they're ridiculed, it makes them the 'real deal' according to the Bible.
ReplyDeleteSadly and of course, these hacks lack(or conveniently ignore) basic logic skills. Otherwise, they wouldn't think that criticism of their nuttiness proves their imagined truthiness, imagined greatness and imagined godliness.
They need to feed their bloated egos; reason be damned.
These latter day pseudo-prophets should not compare themselves to the OT prophets but to David Koresh, their Millerite brother. The latter comparison has validity whereas the former is just a dream.
ReplyDeleteIn brief, Koresh prophesied lots of things, purportedly Bible-based, that never happened and a lot of people got hurt. Very badly.
And David Koresh felt like he was persecuted and unappreciated. He had the truth about the Seven Seals and nobody would listen. This seems to be a Millerite preacher's standard affliction. Their products are generally unmarketable except to a small deluded base, a base that will reach end-of-life without ever seeing the prophetic fulfillments they crave.
Habakkuk, in context, explains what he is referring to. And it is not what the latter day Millerite pseudo-prophets claim. The Millerites misapply the scripture to support their personal and vested interests - and their followers willingly have it so.
All their base needs to do to find clarity is to read these much cited prophetic scriptures in context and also realize that the latter day pseudo-prophets are nowhere given authority to re-purpose these scriptures for modern applications. But their base is not seeking clarity but rather an egocentric form of gnosticism.
They like to stick their tongues out at normal people and say "I know something that you don't."
Pack is IGNORED because he is IGNORANT!
ReplyDeleteNotice that the above states that the end time work will not be believed...
ReplyDeleteHe got that right.
For I will work a work in your days Which you would not believe, though it were told you. - Habakkuk 1:5
ReplyDeletePaul quotes this in Acts 13:41 in what appears to be a reference to the work of Jesus. Is Bob actually claiming this verse really refers to himself and his CCOG? Like Flurry claiming to be That Prophet?
