Narcissistic COG Leader Claims He Is Elohim, Lectures Wikipedia and Australian Military Minister On How Things Should Be

Imagine the arrogance and narcissism that drives a Church of God leader, who claims he is Elohim, to lash out at the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Australia over how he perceives history should be written.

Wade Cox says, "I am not prepared to stand idly by."

It's always fun to see old Wade pitch one of his fits and lecture the world on how things WILL be.  It is even greater to see the world ignore him as Wikipedia and Michale McCormack have.

This is especially delicious in seeing Cox lecture the Honorable Michael McCormack, given the track record that exists on the Internet about Wade Cox's distingusied military service.

Then to add more fuel to the fire, Elohim Cox, as an Oracle of God, has to throw in two of his loony and loosely based "biblical" lectures in order to educate McCormack on how things should be. As if McCormack and Wikipedia would EVER read the steaming piles of crap that Cox publishes.

Wade Cox shared a link to the group: Calendar of God.
This was a recent letter to the Minister of Veterans Affairs etc. over the deliberate misrepresentation of the Battle of Jerusalem by unscrupulous religious identities.
The Hon. Michael McCormack MP
Minister for Veterans Affairs and Minister assisting the PM for the Centenary of Anzac.
Dear Minister,
It came to my attention that Wikipedia was deliberately misrepresenting the Battle of Jerusalem and attributing the Battle to the British on 9 December and totally misrepresenting the official History of the Fall of Jerusalem to the Australians on 7 December as detailed in the Official History by H. S. Gullett. From their entirely false portrayal the Australians taking of Jerusalem on 7 December is completely ignored and the history falsified.
I wrote on this some twenty years ago identifying a religious motive for the portrayal and published on it. It is being used to establish a false dating in the US and UK.
The purpose is to justify the modern Jewish Calendar which runs one or two or more days later than the Ancient Temple Calendar. The unscrupulous sources have obviously got into Wikipedia and written a false account and written out the true account of the ALH taking of Jerusalem on the 7 December 1917 and applying it to 9 December 1917.
The purpose is to make the prophecy of Haggai regarding the date of the retaking of Jerusalem under Bible Prophecy appear later in accord with Hillel. Haggai says it was to be retaken on the 24 of Chislev which in the ancient Temple Calendar would have been 7 December when it was taken. In the modern Hillel Calendar with the Jewish postponements it was on 9 December and so they had to rewrite the official history and take the remarkable achievements of the Australians and their role in prophecy out of the picture completely.
I have written on the matter and as an ex Army Major RA Inf and TPI Pensioner I am not prepared to stand idly by. However, It needs to be corrected officially and publicly by the Australian Warm Memorial Officers and our legacy preserved.
Furthermore, we need a Memorial officer with authority to monitor the War Record as misused by Wikipedia and some of their less than honest contributors so that our history is not lost or misrepresented. The Australian taking of both the Well of the Oath at Beersheba and the capture of Jerusalem are two of our great achievements of all time in their historical significance and were prophesied also in Habakkuk.
See Commentary on Habakkuk (No. 021H) at http://www.ccg.org/english/s/p021h.html

And Oracles of God (No. 184) at http://www.ccg.org/english/s/p184.html.
Thanking you in anticipation. I have cced this to my local member who also has a military background.
Wade Cox
Wade Cox
Coordinator General
Christian Churches of God
As Elohim, Cox believes his back reading of world events into stories out of the Bible, is the ONLY truth that will lead the unwashed masses to salvation.

He claims that he, as the Coordinator-General, is an Oracle of God and therefore we should listen to everything he says as if it was the God-inspired truth.

He says:
God chose to speak to humanity through His servants. The established chain of revelation went from Adam through the patriarchs to Noah and then to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. God chose to establish a people through which He would enshrine His laws and through which His plan of Salvation would be revealed.

Does truth even exist in the COG any more?

  3. Philip Yancey wrote in Christianity Today that without Billy Graham, "the conservative churches might have become apart from Graham's influence: cultic and divisive, a minority defensively opposing rather than engaging culture." As soon as I read this I thought of the WCG and its offshoots, "cultic, divisive, a minority defensively opposing rather than engaging culture." And therefore, having little or no influence beyond its membership.
Why didn't HWA and others engage the culture, rather than hiding behind microphones and throwing rocks at other churches and the world at large? Why would RCM shoot down questions and objections rather than engage students in discussions in First Year Bible class in Pasadena? I think that it is because, at heart, these bullies were cowards, intellectual cowards. They isolated themselves from the world because, perhaps they knew that they didn't have the real skills to defend their views. AC looked pretty on the outside, but inside there is little real scholarship. When someone tried to engage in real scholarship (like Dr. Ernest Martin), they get forced out. Perhaps the WCG is what conservative Christianity might have become if Billy Graham hadn't been as engaged with the culture as he was.

  4. This is typical Millerite stuff - great excitement over odd, complex and unverifiable prophecy connections. This kind of thing is rife among Armstrongists - look in the back pages of Cartwright's newspaper.

The word elohim has been used in the Bible to refer to the true God, to a false god, to angels, and to human beings. The question is how does Cox use it. I am suspicious because the Armstrongist view of "God as God is God." My guess is that if Cox were asked, he would have a non-traditional definition of the word Elohim.

AC was not about academics. It was not about scholastic inquiry. It was about indoctrination. Don Ward never got a clue. AC was not even about indoctrination via classroom lecture content. It was about total immersion in Armstrongist social values 24/7 for four years. The great edifice in Armstrongist education is the rigorous caste system with lay members as the Untouchables.

The salient question is why would anyone show up on one of the AC campuses expecting to receive a viable education?

  5. I have never understood the need for these self-appointed idiots setting themselves up as some enlightened being greater than their followers. God no more speaks to Cox than he does the liar of Arroyo GrandeThiel. The amazing thing is the number of intellectually bankrupt individuals who follow these agents of darkness.

The same could be said for the PC stuff taught on any campus now-a-days. Unless you take math or engineering, much of it is really about the suppression of information and indoctrination, not education.

  7. "The same could be said for the PC stuff taught on any campus now-a-days."

PC stuff? I think most people with mature life experience can make the appropriate adjustment for the kind of sensitivity that is deprecated by propagandists as "PC". Mark Twain used the N-word. People still read him yet understand that was the expression of his time. To qualify his writing in that way I believe is fine.

It has been my experience, maybe not everyone's experience, that the people who rail against PC are generally, when you get their viewpoints, insensitive boors with White Supremacist leanings. And to them, if anyone says anything positive about people of color, its PC.

AC was on the surface about getting a degree in an odd brand of Millerite "theology." But AC was very weak in even its own "theology." HWA's little booklets amount to little more than an colloquial advertising package rather than a systematic theology. In practice, I think AC offered a degree in Salesmanship that was labeled "theology." HWA's religion was the commodity to be marketed but many ministers took their honed skills into other areas such as Slender Now.

  9. Led Zeppelin used some interesting effects in their recordings. One was a forward-projected echo, in which the listener would hear the sonic “shadow” of the next notes about to be played, in advance of the actual notes. You can readily here this in “Whole Lotta Love”.

When you read the ridiculousness of Armstrongite teachers like Wade Cox, you are seeing an advance projection of the types of permanent damage from which many of his current followers will be attempting recovery perhaps ten years from now.

In the early days of the internet forums and blogs there was an entirely different breed of “recoverers” involved in the dissident discussions. Some of the teachers who believe they have succeeded HWA have done exponentially more damage to their followers than did HWA himself, and I believe this is a trend which will continue to become worse, right up to the final demise of Armstrongism. It’s not dissimilar to the progression from Marijuana to Meth. There are just some things that can happen to people in life from which, sadly, there is no recovery.

I have never met, either in real life, or on the web, an actual white supremacist. And I've never met, either in real life, or on the web, a racially aware white people who had any problem with the data that say N.E. Asians have higher IQs on average than whites. "White Supremacist" seems to be nothing more than a label used by the media to misrepresent people.

Your brain-deadness is keeping you from grasping that the name for my bible studies, True Bread, comes from scripture: John 6:32...the TRUE BREAD from heaven. You apparently have problems with scripture and the Messiah... I live in VA and was born in the midwest...not heaven. Keep trying though basement boy...I enjoy your nonsense. Plus I bet you smell...

So what? Jesus lived in Palestine and was born in Bethlehem, yet he still called himself the True Bread. Who are you, the Second Coming in the flesh?

Do you seriously not get it? Do I really have to spell this out to you like you are a 5-year old?

You have used the name "True Bread" at as your handle on this site.

    EXAMPLE:

"True Bread said..." is followed by what YOU said.

Such as, "If I read from the bible, is that blasphemous to you....?"

The blasphemy is that, whether you realize it or not, are going by the name or identifier of "True Bread". That means you are taking a title of Jesus in vain. And that is blasphemy.

    Get it?

I see my smelly troll stalker is back for more abuse...dude I don't need the likes of your incompetent mind to try to explain anything scriptural to me, but thanks for the offer.

Can you not seriously understand that the screen name I have comes from my Blogger profile, a name for my bible studies and website....??? The Messiah's name was simple "Joshua" in Aramaic (Y'shu to be specific), meaning Savior. He is also called the "Messiah", which means anointed. "Jesus" as you write can also be broken down into smelly pig. I don't use the term "Jesus" as it is pagan.

If you possessed any level of spirituality, you'd understand that the Father gives us the True Bread from heaven, as stated in John 6:32...and if had the stamina you could keep reading up to verse 63, where the Messiah states that is it the WORDS that give life and are spirit and truth...the WORDS are the TRUE BREAD.

Accusing me of the charge of blasphemy is a very serious charge that one human can make against another, and the penalty for blasphemy is death. However, if a person makes a FALSE charge, such as you have done, then finds himself under the very same penalty...while I do not wish for your sentence to be death, maybe you now have something to think about before you go around throwing wild nonsensical ACCUSATIONS about innocent people, especially those you don't even know...plus we all know what scripture says about the one who ACCUSES the brethren...(Rev 12:10).

    see, you really do smell...

Wow dude, I see you had to go and throw in your two cents...those two anons are clearly deranged and have stalked me here for months...actually its very amusing to read the nonsense these two trolls post. Now you have to join in and start with the accusations too, I see. Do you agree with these flakes that I think I am now "jesus" because I use a bible verse for my program...?? These two twits don't even deserve a response...I think I'll call then the "two twit-nesses" from now on...has a nice ring to it.

But why do you care...?? If I get flamed for defending the Messiah against those two twats why does that bother you...?? Actually getting flamed by you is like a badge of honor for me..like I won a medal. It tells me my observations about your screeds have really sunk in. And why do you keep posting on a somewhat religious blog all of your atheistic/agnostic garbage...?? It's like you've left the realm of sanity and scripture, to now posting here about atheism just to try to destroy other people's faith. Look dude, just because you got burned by Armstrong doesn't mean you have to throw the baby out with the bathwater...meteorites,atheism, Buddha,Hinduism and yoga aren't going to save you or anyone else. Why let your butthurt from the WCG days destroy your salvation...?? It's like you have lost touch with reality and have become a flat-earther....like the two twitnesses...

That's a straw-man argument. Regardless of what you think, you CLAIM to be Jesus by taking one of his titles onto yourself by using it as your monkier (avatar, identifier, handle, name, whatever) on this site.

    Another straw man:

No, you get corrected for blasphemy against the messiah.
