The Bible in the Millennium

  1. The Bible? Probably. Mystery of the Ages? Batman has a better chance of survival into the Millennium than that.

  2. The bible is inspired, and its lessons timeless. It's the mind of God in print. So it will definitely be in the millenium. Mystery of the Ages will have to be re written. It has far too many distortions. Herb was truthful when he said that he didn't feel like he wrote the book. Rather, Mystery of the Ages was written by his minister ghost writers.

  4. This is not much different from asking: "Will there be a need for unicorns and leprechauns on Planet Kolob?"

  5. I think that there would be, for historical reference. But i do not think that the bible would ever be obsolete like wouldn't you want to read it to remind yourself of the principles even in the millennium and see how it all came about?

  6. There will still be unconverted people on earth during the Millenium. Perhaps, among these people the Bible will continue to play its current role.

I believe the Bible, while it contains majestic passages, is a punitive document and is not how God originally intended to communicate with mankind. I believe that when direct communication with God comes about, the Bible will only be of historical interest.

The Mystery of the Ages serves only to document the heretical nature of Armstrongism. Other than some small booklets, it is the only book Armstrongists have that approaches being a systematic theology. GTA attempted to create a systematic theology and you recall what happened. For the future, the book has only a backwater historical value - something that only a tiny number of Millerites believed.

  7. Mystery of the ages is a compilation of other crappy books by Herbert "false apostle" Armstrong! My suggestion is, if you have a copy of that book or any church literature, BURN IT!

  8. Of course, both the Bible and the Quran in the future.

Not so much with 'Mystery of the Ages', except for yard sales.

  10. To the anonymous above, you are simply ridiculing without making a valid argument.

It is like saying, "All anonymous posters are trolls who live in their mom's basement."
