  1. The Grabbe letter is one of the most interesting reads and expose on the WCG.

If only the members knew what was in it.

  5. The interesting thing about Orlin is that he was deeply committed to the church during the time I knew him (our Freshman and Sophomore years) as were his siblings who had preceded him at AC as well. A Texas ranch boy, he was known as being a serious and stable student at that time, but we had no idea just how brilliant he was, because students of intellect generally masked and even suppressed their intelligence for fear of being accused of having intellectual vanity. I dare say that there were just as many or more expelled for intellectual vanity than for fornication. Thinking you knew more than HWA and actually being able to prove it made you the enemy. Up to a certain point, Orlin walked a thin line until his conscience no longer allowed him to do so. Hence, the letter.

Here was another individual, not unlike Dr. Kuhn, who rose to the top of his field (economics and math) after leaving the WCG. He was a valued international financial consultant for the second half of his life, living in such places as Dubai, and all the while maintaining keen interest in the abstract and eclectic.

I was totally shocked when Orlin died. Seems like he had so much more to contribute.

  7. Still reading it - along with the 2,500 years of pre-history myths that was given to the Imperial Schools kids.
    Thanks for posting the link.

  8. Thanks for posting this. Fascinating read, not read it all yet. Poor Mother, poor mailman delivering it and poor Norma.
