Norbert Link Causes Major Butthurt for the Self-appointed Elijah

It is tough being Elijah in this day and age.  One person after another seems to mock all of the various  Elijah's in the Church of God these days.  There are so many of them it is hard to keep track of them all.

However, there is one Elijah that reigns supreme over them all due to his constant stage of eternal butthurt. His most humiliating experience was when Rod Meredith, his spiritual mentor and Daddy, publicly denounced him as a fraud from the pulpit. That set in motion the members of Living Church of God mocking him, as well as many others.  And then we came along and added more butthurt to the falsely anointed one.

Now it is Norbert Link's turn.

Elijah Thiel writes:

03/08/19 a.m. In its newletter today, after again attacking me (but again without my name) CEG also had the following:
the fact that the man of sin is not the beast, but the false prophet,
Fact?
It is certainly not a biblical one.
This 'man of sin' identity is a doctrine that most groups once part of the old GCG have wrong.
The man of sin is the 'beast" and not the false prophet.
Those in CEG, LCG, RCG, etc. really need to pay more attention to the scriptures related to that.

We all must never forget that there is only ONE man in the entire Church of God, if not the entire world, who knows accurate prophecy,, and that is Elijah Bob Thiel.  The church has never seen a man such as Thiel who is a direct channel from God Almighty with all things prophetic and instructional.

This is what Norbert Link posted.  It is just as batshit crazy as Elijah Thiel's interpretations. Every one of these guys has no idea what they are talking about.

Push for Third Temple Intensifies… While Deniers are Without a Clue

Express published on March 4, 2019 the following headline:
“Jerusalem third temple ‘fulfils Biblical prophecy’ of the end times.”
The article went on to state:
“Talk of a third temple being built emerged this week in response to a letter penned by the powerful Jewish assembly of rabbis known as the Sanhedrin. Jerusalem is heading into a mayoral election next week and the Sanhedrin urged both running candidates, Ofer Berkovich and Moshe Lion, to rebuild the temple.
“The first two Holy Temples of Jerusalem were constructed on the city’s Temple Mount centuries ago but were razed to the ground by the Babylonians and the Romans respectively. The Holy Temple plays a crucial role in Jewish tradition and is a central player in prophecies and tales concerning the apocalypse.”
There are still those who deny the biblical fact that a third temple must exist prior to Christ’s return. One proof text can be found in 2 Thessalonians 2:4 which proclaims that just prior to Christ’s return, the false prophet (sometimes erroneously referred to as the Antichrist) will sit in the Temple of God, claiming to be God. Here is an example of a writer trying to “explain” this passage without admitting that this is talking about the Third Temple:
“… the ‘man of sin’ (also known as the King of the North in Daniel 11 and ‘the Beast’ in Revelation 13) may be sitting in some type of formerly Christian occupied building for some short while during the Great Tribulation.” The writer then goes on to state that that building might be one which had been used by his organization prior to their flight to the place of safety.
Apart from the fact that the man of sin is not the beast, but the false prophet, this whole “explanation” is unbelievably ludicrous. But those who deny or are unable to understand biblical revelation are doomed to present astonishing man-made nonsense.

  1. The beast is a destructive warrior. The false prophet would have to be the man of sin since it's his deceptions that lead to war.
But again, this is harping on technicalities that are meaningless to everyday life. This diverts members attention away from the fact that they are being fed diluted spiritual milk instead of meat.

The man of sin will set up shop in Thiel's naturopathy store? ROFL LMAO!

Or maybe the man of sin will set up shop in a Masonic Lodge or funeral parlor where the Church of God formerly met?

  5. Just after the 1967 Six Day War, HWA wrote that there was only a short time left for the Temple to be built - to be ready for 1972. In one of the first PTs I received there was a story about how Jewish congregations in the USA were offering funds to build the Third Temple. Then after Denis Rohan’s Al-Aqsa Mosque arson in 1969, with his loose connection with WCG, HWA downplayed the building of the temple.

A few years ago, following his discussions with the Temple Institute, Bob Thiel started writing that only an altar was necessary for offerings to be resumed, and then stopped to fulfill the end-time prophecy. In at least one of his COGWriter articles (which may have since been altered) Bob claimed that HWA never taught that a Temple must be built. He even misquoted half a sentence in which HWA said it must be built. Well, I suppose he thinks his misunderstood here a little, there a little can apply to HWA as well as scripture…

But, I can see Bob's point: waiting for a Temple to be built could take decades; an altar could be put up immediately. And time is short...

Why won't some of these nuts get creative and claim to be the end-time Zipporah (Mrs. Pack?)? Or the end-time Gershom and Eliezer? Maybe the end-time Lazarus?

Then again, Dave Pack might just announce himself as the end-time Melchizedek, as a trial balloon for his eventual reveal as David Christ.

  10. Mt 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets...

“... these false Christs had their false prophets, who endeavoured to persuade the people to believe them to be the Messiah, as Barcochab had Akiba, who applied many prophecies to him. This man was called Barcochab, which signifies the son of a star, in allusion to Num 24:17 he was crowned by the Jews, and proclaimed the Messiah by Akiba; upon which a Roman army was sent against him, and a place called Bitter was besieged, and taken, and he, and a prodigious number of Jews were destroyed. This deceiver was afterwards, by them, called Barcoziba, the son of a lie” (John Gill’s Exposition of the Bible).

The Antichrist will proclaim himself the Messiah after his assassination and resurrection (Rev 13:3).

    2Th 2:3 that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
2Th 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

The “man of sin,” sits in the temple AS God, showing himself that he IS God.

Ex 7:1 And the LORD said unto Moses, See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh: and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet.
Ex 7:2 Thou shalt speak all that I command thee: and Aaron thy brother shall speak unto Pharaoh...

Ac 14:12 And they called Barnabas, Jupiter; and Paul, Mercurius, because he was the chief speaker.

"...Biblical usage confirms the concept of the prophet as an announcer: for example, when God sent Moses to Egypt He explained, "See, I have made thee as God to Pharaoh, and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet: thou shall speak all that I command thee, and Aaron thy brother shall speak unto Pharaoh" (Ex 7:1-2). To this, then, corresponds the basic meaning of the Greek word profetes, one who speaks forth, in behalf of another; in classic culture, one who interprets the will of some deity" (Encyclopaedia of Biblical Prophecy, pp. 4-5).

Moses and Aaron provide a positive example of a relationship between a god and a prophet (Exodus 4:16 & 7:1; cp. Acts 14:12), while the beast and his spokesman provide a negative one. The 'beast' is the individual who will set himself up as 'god' and who is referred to as the Antichrist, the man of sin, the lawless one, the little horn of Daniel 7, the king of the North - and various other titles - while the false prophet is his subordinate henchman - interpreting the will of the yet future pseudo-deity.

A modern example of the latter would be Joseph Goebals. As minister of propaganda for the Third Reich he is "generally accounted responsible for presenting a favourable image of the Nazi regime to the German people" (Encyclopaedia Britannica, CD-99), Joseph Goebals). On assuming this position he "began to create the Fuhrer myth around the person of Hitler and to institute the ritual of party celebrations and demonstrations that played a decisive role in converting the masses to Nazism" (EBritannica, ibid.).

Rev 13:14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
Rev 13:15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.

2Th 2:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

"These remarkable phenomena, which in the past have been used so effectively in laying the foundation for the church (Acts 2:22,43; 4:30; 5:12; 6:8; 7:36; 14:3; 15:12; Rom 15:19; 2 Cor 12:12; Heb 2:4), will be redirected to purposes of deceit" (Robert L. Thomas, 1,2 Thessalonians, EBC, Vol.11, p.326).

The false prophet will set up a religious system to worship the resurrected Antichrist. The image of the resurrected beast is yet future.
