CGI Bill Watson: Is he waiting for God to punish the Globalists?

Is God ready to punish the Globalists?

CGI Pastor Bill Watson can't seem to stay away from politics. Like the proverbial moth that is drawn to the flame, Bill can't seem to resist denigrating the left and extolling the virtues of Trump nationalists!

Mr. Watson's latest offering "Is the USA on the Brink?" is a continuation of the themes he addressed in his MAGA presentation. The program opens with headlines like: "Biden Lays Out His Globalist Vision," "FBI Opens Investigation of Clinton Foundation," and "Leftists Demand: More Gun Control" (Can we discern a pattern or theme here?).

Mr. Watson goes on to state that "we're living in a very interesting world - especially in the area of politics." He talks about the "rancor," "disgust," and "hate" evident in so much of the public discourse about politics these days. According to the pastor, we find ourselves in these distasteful circumstances because there are two ideologies vying for supremacy within the U.S. Government - what he characterizes as a "socialist-globalist group" and a "nationalist group." And Mr. Watson makes it very clear which one of these groups he favors.

The pastor clearly sees the nationalists in the ascendancy. This, according to him, has engendered desperation within the ranks of the socialist-globalists. As proof, he offers the "Green New Deal" of freshman Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. He goes on to ridicule her statement that the world as we know it could come to an end in twelve years (which seems mild when one considers the preaching of Armstrongite ministers over the last sixty years).

Mr. Watson clearly doesn't believe that climate change is a real problem. For him, the Green New Deal is a diversionary tactic - meant to divert folks attention away from the real problems at hand. The pastor quotes an article from the conservative Aspen Institute about the cost of the program and concludes that it is not affordable or achievable. Moreover, he presents AOC's Green New Deal as the policy prescription of ALL of the socialist-globalists (all Democrats are NOT on the Ocasio-Cortez bandwagon).

Pastor Watson goes on to share his suspicion that "there's something that these globalists don't want you to know about." He speculates that this might involve further revelations from the Epstein story, or the government's use of tissue from aborted fetuses. In other words, these lefties are busy obscuring the things that everyone should really be focused on (pedophilia, abortion and Clinton's e-mails are more important than global warming).

After quoting from the prophets Jeremiah and Amos, Mr. Watson concludes his message by appealing to the peoples of North America and the British Commonwealth to heed their messages for ancient Israel. Mr. Watson says that the way to "Make America Great" is for us to become morally right and good. Unfortunately, Mr. Watson does not seem to appreciate the irony of making such a statement when our nation is currently led by someone who is as morally bankrupt as Donald J. Trump!

Mr. Watson tells us that "there are people that hate this country." For him, these are the socialist-globalist Democrats. Mr. Watson sees these folks as the enemies of Manasseh and the rest of the House of Joseph. For Mr. Watson, Trump is our good King Josiah trying to turn the hearts of the people to their God and stave off destruction. Unfortunately, this is the same old crap that Herbert Armstrong peddled for years and employed in garnering thousands of supporters. Let's hope that Mr. Watson is not as successful as he was in deceiving people!

  1. Climate change has been happening for the last 4 Billion years.

Man Made???... certainly a very debatable idea with limited data for sure.

  2. You can trash Trump all you want, but obviously you never lived in the Rust belt or took time to see who most billionaires were supporting in the last few elections. Getting rid of NAFTA was something that should have been done years ago. Also global warming has never been proved to be caused by internal combustion engines or coal. During the Ice Age the Ice Cap extended down as far south as upper New York State and the Ice melted away thousand of years ago when no one had ever burnt chunk of coal.

  3. Just look at a 120 year sea rise chart, the rise has been steady. It's not caused by man!

  5. Trump is the greenest president ever wishing to add Green land to the USA.

He might as well get Great Britain for a pound real soon now that it will be reduced to ashes by its incompetent leadership.

I do believe the Brits will be rescued by some Shakespearean type of coup by parliament now that the Conservatives have gone completely insane.

Mike Pence might be the president presiding over the ashes Trump Will leave behind. This will also require major Shakespearean skills in politics or perhaps Machiavellian skills. I will quit talking about Trump. Pence will rise earlier than expected. Do I sound ljke Nostradame? Moi, je Pense!

  6. The Earth has cycled in and out of dramatic upheavals in global climate for eons of time. Little ice ages, big ice ages, tropical generations - all of this have happened. There have been five mass extinction events millions of years ago - and we are sitting on a fine line, teetering on a balancing act where as little as 1 to 2 degrees of global temperature change could cause significant and cataclysmic results. I have looked at climate data, and there is no doubt we are on the up-curve of the latest cycle in the temperature departments. The question is - do we as man have anything to do with this - or is this a completely natural cycle that is repeating itself all over again as it has done time and time before?

As far as the politics go, I decided long ago to never enter the political arena publicly during this super polarized era of time. Rest assured, I do have very strong opinions, I just keep them to myself. I will break the rule just enough to say this: Religion and politics should never mix. It is abhorrent for spiritual leaders to use their influence in the political arena. , especially in God's name. It makes no sense at all for the COG people to even go there, considering they don't recognize the American Right of their congregants to cast ballots - that is, unless even that has changed recently.

  7. Please note: There are several people here who continue to call other commenters "morons" "jerks" "asses" "Idiots" etc. Cut the crap and stop it. I'm not putting through any more comments that do it, no matter how well thought out the rest of your comments are. Also, please stay on topic. The consistent wondering into esoteric topics and conspiracy theories is tiresome, even if slightly interesting.

  8. I'm glad somebody finally got Lonnie's post. Thank you, SHT, for saying: "Religion and politics should never mix. It is abhorrent for spiritual leaders to use their influence in the political arena, especially in God's name."

And thank you, NO2HWA, for telling people to cut the crap. Is it that difficult to be civil on these forums?

  10. He won't be as successful as HWA. That ship sailed way back there in the last century. The ascendancy of radio and print media made it possible. People who stare at their phones non-stop aren't going to get or pay attention to his crap. He'll at most get a minute portion of the lunatic fringe.

  11. Bill Watson claims to be a minister of Jesus Christ. Lonnie/Miller makes NO such claim. I do not believe ministers should engage in such overt political commentary.
For me personally, I have a blog devoted to spiritual themes and one devoted to political themes. I share the inclination of other commentators to keep these disciplines separate. However, when a minister so plainly and deliberately steps over that line, I believe it is our duty to call him out (and even counter the partisan points he is making).
Moreover, I don't think anyone is suggesting that issues like abortion, global warming, pollution, civil rights, etc. are devoid of spiritual/religious components. And, it is NOT inappropriate to discuss the spiritual implications of these issues.
My beef is with anyone who purports to be a minister of Jesus Christ taking such a clearly partisan position - favoring an individual or party over other alternatives and going so far as to characterize the other side as not being on God's side. I've said it before: God is NOT a Republican or a Democrat...God is NOT a Socialist or a Capitalist...God is NOT a Nationalist or a Globalist! Period!
And, once again, my beef is with what Mr. Watson said in this program, not with him personally. And it is interesting that none of the commentators heretofore have picked up on the doctrinal issue at the root of many of his errors - his adherence to Anglo-Israelism. By all accounts Peter was a fine person, but we all understand that he made some major blunders at times - even with regard to this faith that many of us profess.

  12. maybe even Dennis will agree with this Bible scripture?
    Dan: 4 v17
This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men.
Lets face it, we have not had an abundance of decent men leading our country.
And now that presidential elections have become a bad reality show, it will not get any better until they change the system of how they select.
Winston Churchill said that democracy is the worst form of government except for any other. So it could be worse - imagine being the typical citizen of North Korea.
As far as climate change goes - the real issue is not whose fault it is, but what can we do about it. If an asteroid was heading for a collision with the Earth and we had enough time to do something, we would be working on how to stop the damage, not on whose fault it was.

  14. When the Roman Catholic Church mixed its false religion with worldly politics, a lot of people got killed as a result.

Various Protestant “reformers” would kill each other too. Typically, the ones who were in the wrong would kill the ones who were more doctrinally correct.

  15. It has been my opinion for a long time that the original disagreement between HWA (wcg) and GTA (CGI) was that GTA's message was essentially NATIONALIST, whereas hwa's message was essentially (w) Wilsonian internationalist.

Many focus on doctrinal issues or differences like Governance. The original complaints by GTA however was about HWA being away/abroad for 350 days per year and the amount of money involved whilst to "preach abroad" was the entire purpose of the church as stated by Hwa's reading of Mathew.

In the eighties when I sollicited material from CGI, (since I figured the church had entered the Laodicean era after the GTA split and receivership) I was startled by GTA's rampant jingoism and Americanism as compared to a universalist message.

You can call it conspiracy anytime. But if you keep maintaining that wcg was not Christian I will take that to the ultimate conclusion and speak about the remaining topic. Which is armstrongisms complete and total alignment with the foreign policy goals of the US empire through the arm of the UN as formulated by kissinger in the Rockefeller papers.

That is not conspiracy. That is the complete summation of arnstrongisms when you have studied the topics and accept the accusation that wcg was not established to "win souls for Jesus".

It is the "Christians" on this blog who should "stay on topic" instead if trying to twist and spin 99 percent of the literature into a biblical mold whilst "ALL" contents was political if one stepped out of the comfortzone if ones own psycholigal framing.

People outside the church had no such difficulty to see that judging by the many readers of the PT amongst the UN diplomats and Pentagon crowd.

I have no data on the State Department except for the obvious clearance for citizen HWA to meet with World leaders.

If you do not believe me I challenge you to arrange a meeting with one world leader. I will not be so childish as to ask of you to meet 140. How many diplomats will come to listen to your party?

Even crazy flurry only met 2 low level diplomats in his lifetime. Dave Pack will never meet one even if photo bombing a July 4th celebration.

GTA's CGI has always been very domestic and very anti Democrat American priding itself in being thrown of airwaves for railing against homosexuals which is always popular for a limited stratum in a conservative segment and constituency.

Nationalism is doomed as is Britain sand the USA. Simply because the technology makes it possible to have span of control on a global scale.

Johnson and Trump are the last vestiges of a dying world simply because they do not understand the impact of technology.

The individual city states of Italy like Florence and Pisa were doomed the moment technology was available to control both at the same time.

CGI message is catering to an old world whereas HWA was announcing "the new and coming world" that would be global, undemocratic (rod of iron), peaceful, orderly, ruled by an inner court.

It's just that the Chinese might head that cabal as the Anglos are forfeiting their inheritance. I don't know. I do know that the former chief advisor of GTA is regarded by the Chinese as the top 3 western advisor to the Chinese people. I heard it on television while flipping channels in Bishkek some years ago just before bin laden boogeyman was caught two Valleys down the road. Not hiding in a cave but in a compound 500 yards from Pakistani intelligence in a town with an extremely oriental sounding name but actually named after a former officer of the Anglo empire Abbott. And perhaps I might say (another) officer of the empire if one truly understands who founded AL qaida and why.

I have compared HWA to Charley Wilson many times. Politics and religion do wonderfully mix if you like Mike Pence or understand his sponsors.

  17. A congressional committee led by congressman Larry MacDonald was investigating the role of secret societies control of the USA. MacDonald said the conspiracy to destroy the USA and set up a global dictatorship was real. Then he died in an "accident".

Read the book "Proofs of The New World Order" by Mike S. King. He quotes many world leaders admitting there is a secret plot to destroy the national soverignty of all nation states and replace them with a global dictatorship. If this global dictatorship were benign it would not need to operate in secret. Also read "The New World Order" by Mark Dice. The Rockefellers (bankers) set up the Trilateral Commission and the Council on Foreign relations to help carry out this work. They purchased controlling shares in the media to keep them quiet about it. This is all well-documented fact. It's not a bunch of wild speculations.

  18. God in the OT gave a moral assessment on every king of ancient Judah and Israel. So it's hardly wrong to do the same with todays political parties. Most Christian denominations today have muddied the moral waters with neo Marxism. By contrast, there has been some degree of moral choice in politics. It's this choice and the noticeable different consequences (eg Venezuela) that the neo Marxists hate.
People are not Snow White or impartial when they condemn commenting on politics.

  20. To SHT and Wes White who say: "Religion and politics should never mix. It is abhorrent for spiritual leaders to use their influence in the political arena, especially in God's name."

I doubt you believe the above statement. Hopefully your issue is more with mixing religion and *party* politics, and judging what Bill Watson is saying to be too far in the realm of partisan concern rather than spiritual.

Every prophet in the Old Testament (not to mention Jesus) talked about politics. They criticized the king, the princes, the judges, everyone of power. Watson (or any other speaker) may not be claiming the position of prophet, and you may not like the content or the style of a particular sermon, but the intertwining of secular and moral issues means the preacher is often called to speak truth to politicians and "political" matters.

  21. Anonymous 8/22 @ 3:58 PM, There is a great article by Timothy Dalrymple over at Christianity Today "On Court Prophets and Wilderness Prophets" that addresses the point you are making. Dalrymple points out that both kinds of prophets were willing to criticize the king - to point out his sins. Mr. Watson's sermons of late have been in the nature of DEFENDING a wicked "king" (Trump).
I think Mr. Watson would do well to remember Paul's advice to a young minister once upon a time: "Timothy, my dear son, be strong through the grace that God gives you in Christ Jesus. You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others. Endure suffering along with me, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. Soldiers don’t get tied up in the affairs of civilian life, for then they cannot please the officer who enlisted them. And athletes cannot win the prize unless they follow the rules. And hardworking farmers should be the first to enjoy the fruit of their labor. Think about what I am saying. The Lord will help you understand all these things. Always remember that Jesus Christ, a descendant of King David, was raised from the dead. This is the Good News I preach. And because I preach this Good News, I am suffering and have been chained like a criminal. But the word of God cannot be chained. So I am willing to endure anything if it will bring salvation and eternal glory in Christ Jesus to those God has chosen." --II Timothy 2:1-10

That false gods can't be identified and condemned by religious teachers is ridiculous. I can only assume it's because some have fallen in love with the welfare states free stuff.

  25. Silly for Watson to speak this way.
For what it is worth, I don't believe that CO2 is the primary driver in the increased global temperature of maybe a little more than 1 degree Fahrenheit over the last 100 years. CO2 is .04% of our atmosphere. It is a complicated system that cannot be boiled down to carbon consumption. I'm waiting for the conclusive evidence, even evidence that limited global warming is bad. When I was studying Ozone holes in the atmosphere (no longer the threat du jour) and before CO2 became the bogeyman, one posed solution was to release reflective dust in the atmosphere over these gigantic holes. It was considered a very cheap solution. i suspect something similar could be done on a larger scale for far less than the cost of shutting down the manufacturing engine. Sure, start transferring over to alternative energy sources, but not at a stupid cost to the U.S. and world's economy. The COGs have the conspiracy theorists and the doomsdayers pairing with the far-right and the mainstream left respectively.

  29. Yes, the ad hominem response was annoying. Anon 8:43 need only look at recent articles in Nature and National Geographic to see that for a couple of billion dollars a year releasing this harmless (so they claim) reflective material in the stratosphere would lower the global temps about 1.5C which is the upper limit that is claimed for global warming and I believe to be a bit inflated. A cooling planet is much more concerning than a heating planet. Last tangential comment.

    ReplyDelete
  30. They'll never admit to anthropogenic global cooling after said releasing! Sounds like a Twilight Zone episode. A lady dreaming about a world heating up because earth's orbit is nearing the sun, wakes up and finds the earth is freezing because the orbit is getting further from the sun. I remember well the ice age fear taught us in schools in the 70's. The earth very well could be warming a little, that's been occurring for thousands of years, but there's no evidence that man is making it worse. How do they know that it's not our solar system's orbit within our galaxy causing it? They don't! I'm all for doing what we can to maintain a clean planet but not at our financial expense. China is paying billions to the "carbon credit" crowd so that they can burn more and more coal. They don't need to tell me that said crowd really cares about global warming, it's all politics, greed and control. Anyone stupid enough not to see that shouldn't be talking about the acogs intelligence! But they do love ad hominem attacks as I said. So might as well give them what they dish out.

  34. It must just piss the climate change deniers off that Ford, Volkswagen, Honda, and BMW have all seen the light and are voluntarily going with the stricter Califonia emission standards rather than the president’s loosening of the emission and economy requirements of the Obama administration.

The tide of opinion is not being turned by politicians or talk radio these days. It’s being turned by business and industry. Airlines have always been able to utilize polar routes. With the melting of the Arctic regions, shipping companies are now capitalizing on polar shipping routes as well.

In a nod to climate change and the increased incidence of wildfires, major insurance companies have established their own fire companies offering surgical fire suppression for their high dollar clients. We learned this when Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s home were saved while the rest of their immediate neighborhood suffered heavy damage.

Industry that the right has claimed to be protecting is getting out ahead of it all by massively preparing, incorporating climate change as a given into business models and long-range plans. The right has all but lost one of its primary vote motivators, and doesn’t even realize it!

Subsidies, political favors, new technologies, lowered fossil fuel costs, multiple energy sources, off the grid a bit and more secure against sabotage, etc can all be attractive to manufacturers. Whether it makes a real difference in our planet’s temperature is another story, but if not coerced it can be a good thing for other reasons.
