A Challenge for Gerald Weston, Bob Thiel, James Malm, Dave Pack, Gerald Flurry and the Rest of the Self-appointed COG Leadership

Two children here in town have set up a table to assist those in need, particularly senior citizens who have not been able to find anything in the stores due to ridiculous hoarding.

Imagine two "worldly" children doing what's right while the Church of God sits by collecting money every day as they tell members not to mail in "contaminated" money but to use money apps to directly deposit money into church coffers.

Here is a challenge to Gerald Weston, Bob Thiel, James Malm, Dave Pack, Gerald Flurry, Ron Weinland and the rest of the self-appointed Church of God leaders.

Tell your members to not send in their weekly tithes and offerings this week but to keep that money and take it and buy food and supplies for their neighbors in need during this chaotic period of time. Set a real example, for once, as to what real Christians will selfishly do, since that is what each one of you exclusively claims for your groups.

Do something godly for once.

It is pretty pathetic when the youth make you look like greedy selfish fools.

  1. This men are all self-centered and selfish and would never give up any chance to collect money from their followers. Why waste money on the unconverted around them. God will bless these people later after they suffer and die in the tribulation. Besides, these kids are probably the product of "so-called" Christians. Nothing can be more disgusting to a Church of God upstart leader than "so-called" Christians.

  2. In my view, the average member of the church AND minister feel the desire and need to give in their community when times demand working together. The problem is that the Churches of God are so caught up in the soon, shortly and just around the next corner Second Coming and Wonderful World tomorrow they are of no use today. Or as said, "Some are so Heaven bound that they are of no earthly use."

Add to that somewhere along the line someone up the food chain is going to remind everyone "My Kingdom is not of this world, lest my servants should fight". While context, context, context, this translates into remember "We are not of this world. The problems of this world are not our concern. This problem is the result of sin. Therefore, we don't help. We don't fight for change. We just hand out detached from this world because that is our calling." Dave Pack made this abundantly clear back during Katrina I believe where he sees his little flock potentially actually giving money to help people in real time and not "send it in"

Usually, no always, the edicts to remember our calling and send it in here comes from those protective of their income and paying the bills.

Then too, there is the occasional big gesture by the administration of making a donation to some organization helping out with the distress. It is "the Church" as a unit helping out and it probably makes the HQ types feel good that they gave so much of YOUR money to something. They feel close to the giving while the member and minister does not. BUT that announcement takes the pressure off everyone and all can feel they helped . I guess it is a clear case and excuse of "I gave at the office."

This then leads to members and ministers in local areas having to lay low as they don't really participate and it shows at times. Then "that minister and his church are weird and think they are more special..." sets in as their reputation in the community.

That said. Dave Packs RCG contribution will be demanding members send it in and we are not to participate in the relief of this present evil world. Period. Dave's motive, to me, seems not so spiritual as necessary to pay his bills.

United will find ways to help corporately with it known that anyone can help anywhere at any time and should.

PCG and Flurry will hunker down and see fleeing in the near future, as might Dave, but Dave ain't leaving his stuff behind. This is why Jesus is coming to Wadsworth and not Dave to the Mt. Of Olives.

Dr Bob will just wave his hands, suggest healthy living and ask questions about could this be the time of Jesus return???????? No one is going to help anyone as there is no one much to help anyone anyway in CCG.

Wes and Nancy White will give and help and do whatever it takes locally should the need arise. :)

  3. PS TV and Mega Church types are currently going nuts with services on hold and people unemployed to the point of uttering such nonsense as "Just because you are out of work, you still must tithe" and assorted bullshit that excludes these creeps from the consequences everyone else is suffering. They and by extension the Churches of God leadership and HQ's far far away from the members consciously or subconsciously fear, and they should, that such a separation due the present distress will allow people too much time to drift away from the weekly onslaught of "we should, we must, we are, we aren't" that keeps them gyrating in their seats. This gyration is contrived and only ends in being dizzy. When not being dizzy starts to feel normal, attendance and affiliation might not recover to past levels.

  4. RCG still has services. I guess god loves them mostest because they have no fear of silky ole coronavirus. They trust god and He will magically protect his peeps. So, to hell with everyone else, RCG brethren (and sisters and children too?) are untouchable there at the high high dollar real estate development in Wadsworth. They don’t need no stay at home order from the Governor to be protected (or to protect others), mr pack is more powerful than the governor and knows much better about....everything. So awesome. RCG deserves nation attention fir how extraordinary they are exempt from the virus. It would be great media for the media to feature Dave and what he’s got going on behind the gated walls.

  5. To me Isaiah 56: 10-12 says it all. Never a concern for the brethren. Cogwa the biggest is also the biggest deceiver, they talk the talk but don't walk the walk. They profess brotherly love but show coldness that would freeze a polar bear. They wish all of the elderly would die off because they aren't able to contribute to Cogwa bank account. And help the elderly in this country don't hold your breath. The crap about not helping peo[le outside of the is so hypocritical. Of course, if they won't help their own why help anyone else.

  6. Why would a COG do something good when every day is another opportunity to be craven and brazenly selfish without most people noticing?

  7. HW Armstrong had a religion that centered on him, with GTA being the second most important person , as the most important people on Earth. They were the "celebrities" and it all centered on them.

Thus, the religion became a spectator sport. Your job was just to "sit in the stands" and say "Yeah Team". Evangelizing, joining civic organizations, or anything that was self empowered, was not only just suppressed, but downright forbidden.

A good member paid, prayed, stayed, and obeyed, and if you just showed up each week , sat on your ass quietly, said "good sermon" and went home, you were considered a "Great member".

The Bible seems to have a higher standard than this. It is not just about the things "you dont do", and certainly Christians shouldn't have idols, or use Gods Name in vain, or commit adultery etc, but there is ALSO a proactive element as well, with outreach and concern for others in an active way.

Paying for others to "do the work" , perhaps has some place, but the real nitty gritty, is getting in there yourself , in all areas "with your sleeves rolled up".

  8. Seems like every day we learn that another one of the rich, the powerful, the famous and or movers and shakers have contracted the coronavirus. Yesterday, it was Greta Thunberg. Today, it is Prince Charles and Jackson Browne. Considering the oft-noted gray demographic of the ACOGs, I'm wondering how long it will be before one of their leaders tests positive or even passes on. I also wonder if they would even go public with positive test results, since they are all in the business of projecting the image that they have special protection from these things.

Whether or not people consider themselves to be part of the world community, they are affected by everything which happens in the ecosystem in which they live. It would behoove all members of the ecosystem to do what they can for the health of that ecosystem, even if they are normally separatists for their own convenience and selfish interests.

  9. You just don't get it! The money sent into the cog organizations allows them to broadcast a message for everyone to hear on saturday. Some members could open their windows and let their neighbors hear they are listening to a religious service. Then in the Kingdom those neighbors will be able to say, "Ah, now I get it. They listened to services on saturday, and that is why they are the rulers over all these cities. I only taught my daughters about serving the Lord and to love such that they set up stands for seniors in need."

  10. Byker Bob mentions famous people contracting the virus. I didn't know about Greta. I think one of the main reasons why the rich and famous are getting it is because they travel more. They have bigger social lives than us regular people who are getting locked in our houses and told to stay home.

Why do I think that these old WCG leaders are salivating about the end of the world, and their awaiting reward, they are probably scared shitless of getting the virus themselves. Hopefully they won't start telling their congregations to start taking weird cleaning drugs which are used to clean fish tanks (quinine related), maybe they should just stock up on tonic water and gin and drink themselves to death. Tonic Water still contains quinine but you need to drink 20 liters for an effective dose.

Scared of getting the virus themselves? Interesting point. If a member believes that they have qualified for the kingdom, why fear death. After all, it's no fun being old and wrinkled.

  12. Hey, 1:14, know how they used to have us get quinine into our systems in the real early COGlodyte days? Boil grapefruit rinds for something like a half hour, cool the water, and drink it. And, of course there actually is quinine in grapefruit rind, but someone was clearly not thinking of the pesticides and chemicals which might have also been present. Those were the days before DDT was banned. But, I kid you not, that was actually recommended for breaking a fever. Quinine has all manner of long-term adverse effects! It's nothing to be messing around with.

What a perverted concept of salvation that the WCG had.

  14. Last week, a small non-denominational church in our community distributed bags with a few items to all residents in our senior apt community (about 42 units) and they are now picking up lists for anything we need from store and delivering to each apt. I would hope members in various ACOGs will hear and respond to reports like the one here and examples like the folks in our neighborhood. Maybe one of the positives from all this will be more individuals in the ACOGs will think for themselves and take personal responsibility to reach out and meet needs of their neighbors? No need for 'approval' --- just go for it!

  15. the problem with drinking tea or other beverages from plant to get the benefits of quinine or artimesia, is that you have no way of knowing what dosage you are getting. if too low a dose you promote development of resistance.

  16. There is quinine in tonic water, but not a therapeutic level. Drinking gin and tonic won't prevent malaria, just makes you feel better about the prospect of getting it.

  17. 9:11

Tonic was invented by the British in India to fight malaria mosquitos.
