We have been accused of being unable to see a prophet in our midst. Nothing new to that, especially when it is our one and only Bwana Bob. The great Bwana has been trying to convince us for years that he is THE MAN!
No other man in the history of the Church of God has more qualifications than he does.
No one has had people dream about him in dreams like he has.
No one has been doubly blessed in the manner he was, even though that so-called blessing came from a counterfeit practitioner of a fake gospel.
No human leader of the church has ever been persecuted as much as he has.
No other man in the church has ever come as Elisha, Elijah, Amos, Habbakuk, Johsua, and Malachi all at the same time.
No other human leader has ever been ridiculed and publicly rebuked by Rod Merdith as much as Bwana Bob has; even Dave Pack got off more lightly than Bwana Bob did.
We are too blinded to see what an amazing man the self-appointed leader of the improperly named "continuing" Church of God is. he will soon be doing great and marvelous wonders for us to be amazed at. Because we failed to bow at his feet we will not know when it is time to go to Petra.
Such silly rebellious deceived people! We should be ashamed of dishonoring the Great Bwana!

You Guys wouldn't believe a prophet,if he was a prophet; out of all the would be Prophets in the COGs; his is the only one that was legit; Facts speak for themselves; Rod Meredith said God may consider you to be a Prophet, so did the other LCG Evangelists, also the Fruits; did you ever read his books or blogs; everything is spot on; also he truly cares for the poor and unfortunate Brethren: that the other Churches of God would be afraid to support, due to the financial drain; you at banned, just have a root of bitterness;. You know it's true. How unfortunate. Great signs and works are coming; the head church leaders of Jesus Day didn't believe either, because there hate blinded them

Jesus weeps...
UPDATE:
God's greatest end-time prophet took notice that someone stood up for him here:
The facts for those who believe the Bible and are willing to believe the truth are there for those interested in being like the Bereans of old who searched the scriptures to see if things being declared were so (Acts 17:11; see also Church of God Leaders on Prophets).
Note: I do not know who the anonymous poster was nor did I ever encourage anyone at CCOG to post that or anything like that. But the biblical prophetic facts and fruits related to me are there for those with eyes to hear and ears to hear.
Here is what scripture plainly says about Bwana Bob and the rest of the lying prophets of Armstrongism. Remember that Bwana Bob depends upon lying divinations for his credibility.
Deuteronomy 13:1-5 ESV / 286 helpful votes
“If a prophet or a dreamer of dreams arises among you and gives you a sign or a wonder, and the sign or wonder that he tells you comes to pass, and if he says, ‘Let us go after other gods,’ which you have not known, ‘and let us serve them,’ you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams. For the Lord your God is testing you, to know whether you love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul. You shall walk after the Lord your God and fear him and keep his commandments and obey his voice, and you shall serve him and hold fast to him. But that prophet or that dreamer of dreams shall be put to death, because he has taught rebellion against the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt and redeemed you out of the house of slavery, to make you leave the way in which the Lord your God commanded you to walk. So you shall purge the evil from your midst.

And the Lord said to me: “The prophets are prophesying lies in my name. I did not send them, nor did I command them or speak to them. They are prophesying to you a lying vision, worthless divination, and the deceit of their own minds. Therefore thus says the Lord concerning the prophets who prophesy in my name although I did not send them, and who say, ‘Sword and famine shall not come upon this land’: By sword and famine those prophets shall be consumed. And the people to whom they prophesy shall be cast out in the streets of Jerusalem, victims of famine and sword, with none to bury them—them, their wives, their sons, and their daughters. For I will pour out their evil upon them.

“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves.
1 John 4:1 ESV / 1,327 helpful votes
Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.
Matthew 24:24 ESV / 1,234 helpful votes
For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.
2 Peter 2:1 ESV / 1,153 helpful votes
But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction.
Great signs and wonders is a mistranslation ..
ReplyDeleteThe Greek actually refers to animated videos, crooked bookshelfs, and distasteful backdrops.
However in Aramaic the seven seals could actually be seven supplements found only in the place of safety which some scholars believe is a natural healing facility outside of California.
The end is upon us!
You realize you are rejecting a TRUE PROPHET OF GOD. The Time is at Hand Now. Do what is Right! Do what is Good. Except the Righteous Prophet and receive the Reward. Matt 10 vs 41
ReplyDeleteDoes Bwana Bob have much of a following in Europe? If COGWA or UCG doesn't get them, Bob has a chance to pick off a few more LCG malcontents, now that Gerald Weston has ordained Mario Hernandez as an evangelist, a move Rod Meredith wisely refused to make.
ReplyDeleteThe Hernandez ordination will quickly polarize brethren in the areas Hernandez has disturbed. Even Weston admitted during the ordination that he sometimes needs to “rein in” Hernandez for his speculations that go beyond what LCG teaches, and it is well known that Hernandez teaches some details of doctrine and prophecy very differently in Spanish than LCG teaches them in English. Why would Weston raise the rank of a man who teaches differently from his church? Is it blackmail to keep Hernandez in LCG? COGWA would never ordain such a doctrinally unsound man as Hernandez. Or is this Weston’s cynical way of keeping a lid on the McNairs and Wally Smith, who now can be told that they may need to wait a long while for ordination, just like Hernandez has waited?
The only sign I see from Bob is that I need to go buy some more toilet paper. According to him, the crap is about to hit the fan.

ReplyDelete“...you at banned, just have a root of bitterness...”
Having just a root of bitterness is bad enough. If you waste your entire life following a false prophet you could end up with the whole trunk of the tree of bitterness, including branches of bitterness, with bitter leaves.
So, do not get too carried away listening to just any mentally and spiritually challenged guy who wants to be prophet.

Some old people followed Roderick C. Meredith into his Global Church of Rod splinter group, and then later into his Living Church of Rod splinter group, because they thought that RCM would be doctrinally sound, since RCM had been an early student at Ambassador College and was an old timer in the Worldwide Church of God.
However, Roderick C. Meredith's two-fold gospel message, marriage supper in heaven, falling away in the world, and other ideas, show that he was not as doctrinally sound as some people thought he was.
When the apostate Tkaches did their Great Apostasy in the Worldwide Church of God in 1995 and threw out virtually everything that Herbert W. Armstrong had taught, all sorts of people saw it as a wonderful opportunity to start their own splinter groups and pretend that they were standing up for the truth. They also saw it as a great opportunity to promote themselves to leadership positions and to slip in their own doctrinal changes. Under cover of the massive confusion caused by the apostate Tkaches throwing out virtually everything that HWA had taught, it was truly amazing what sort of doctrinal changes these other people were able to slip in while pretending to be holding on faithfully to everything that HWA had taught in the WCG in the past.
The really satanic frauds like Gerald Flurry saw it as an opportunity to do more evil than anyone ever imagined. From immediately suppressing the true gospel of the kingdom, to replacing it with a new commission to do evil to all other former WCG people, to destroying families, to becoming the ultimate identity thief by claiming that he, rather than Jesus, was “That Prophet” of Deuteronomy 18:18-19 that everyone had to listen to, to editing and changing HWA's old writings like Mystery of the Ages, there seems to be no end to the outrageous evils that evil people like Gerald Flurry can do while pretending to be holding on faithfully to everything that HWA had taught at the time of his death in 1986.
"everything is spot on"
ReplyDeleteTwenty years ago on an online forum there was a message from someone who just came across Dave Pack's website and said he was "spot on". I replied with something like, Just because a person appears to recognize a problem, you must not assume they have the right solution.
I try not to be mean to Bob Thiel, any more than I would have when evaluating a speech in Spokesman's Club. That doesn't rule out the use of sarcasm, satire, parody, or other forms of critique.
ReplyDelete“...everything is spot on...”
It is more like spots and blemishes on the COG scene.
ReplyDelete“everything is spot on”
Crooked bookcases, faded curtains, and now everything has spots on it too?
Bob Thiel is doomed!
Thiel is living proof that Mr Barnaum was right about the birth rate of suckets
DeleteWell spotted, Anons! And he's a leopard who won't change his spots!
ReplyDeleteAppropriate pic for Boobys drivel... A pile of steaming manure!
ReplyDeleteSince BT is claiming a great number of conversions in Africa, here's a African themed joke for you'll.
ReplyDeleteA cultic missionary was preaching up a storm on a jungle village. The natives were chanting o-goo-la every time he made a point. He was pleased with this, for this was obviously like saying hallelujah. After he finished his spiel, the village headman invited him to dinner. As they were walking to the chief's house, he cautioned the missionay to be careful abot where he was stepping. The preacher asked,"Why?" "Because you might step in the o-goo-la, man".
Bob Thiel is an idiot if he thinks this we do not realize this was him posting that comment. He has lied about everything else concerning is self-appointment as an apostle and prophet.
ReplyDeletewho believe the Bible and are willing to believe the truth
ReplyDeleteI applaud (sometimes grudgingly) what Bob gets right, my concern is what he gets wrong. There are some areas of the Bible where his sermons show he is out of his depth, replete with exegetic pronouncements that I feel are only supported by his own presumptuous authority.
Regarding "total" truth, I remember a remark GTA made on radio about 50 years ago that went something like being "a centillionth of a gnat's whisker" from the truth is something that delights Satan. No COG is within a ballpark of being that close.
