Dave Pack: Dave Only Has One Thing On His Mind As Employees and Members Struggle with COVID and His "christ" Failed To Appear

From an RCG source:

Meanwhile, Dave Pack is pretending that all is well in Dave World. No mentioning of the COVID cases in his 'church'. No mentioning of any heartfelt concern for the RCG members that are sick. No mentioning of ministers (and members) leaving his 'true church'. What does Dave do? What he always does, asking for more money, like in this weeks announcements. Be good slaves and don't forget to send Dave your money boys and girls:

“Third Tithe Reminder: As many are aware, third tithe years begin after the Feast each year. At the bottom of the homepage in Member Services, you can find a link titled “Calculate Third Tithe Years.” This webpage will automatically calculate your third tithe year cycles for you. The cycles are based on your baptism date. Remember that one’s third tithe year occurs every three years in a seven-year cycle.

Those who have questions about third tithe years should contact their local minister.

Tithe of Tithe, Excess Second Tithe, and Holy Day Offerings Reminder: Many will recall that, before the Feast, an announcement was made for brethren to calculate and send in any tithe of tithe and excess second tithe ahead of time, if possible. We thank those who were able to do this. Now that the Feast is over, however, all excess second tithe should be calculated and sent to Headquarters, along with any tithe of tithe that was not already sent, noted as a separate amount. Please notate on your checks or money orders “excess second tithe” or “tithe of tithe,” whichever is applicable.

In addition, those who have missed services on any of the four fall Holy Days and have yet to mail in their offerings should do so as soon as possible. It is vitally important to God’s Work that all Holy Day offerings are accounted for. Please feel free to contact the Business & Accounting Office at bao@rcg.org if you have any questions concerning your offerings.”

  1. Why does klepto-Dave Pack-of-lies even bother to mention all those different tithes and offerings? Everyone is supposed to send in everything they have anyway.

    1. Because ... Klepto-Dave knows that a lot of his members have spouses and loved ones that still have money. And Klepto-Dave wants that money also.

Every year after my husband returns from the ‘feast of lies’ my husband tells me that ‘we don’t need a big house and we don’t need two cars’. And I am making sure that the house and the car stay in MY name..

  2. Christ is as likely to appear on a date set by a COG as COVID is to disappear on November 3.

  4. Hot off the press from Dave Pack...

"Friendly reminder, that everyone should send in their 11th tithe immediately, and sell blood and body parts like kidneys for special offerings as soon as possible".

  5. Comment at 1:09PM is scary.
I too remember going to seek 3rd tithe exemption. Looking back now ,it's embarrassing.
But I was a true believer.
1st 2nd 3rd tithe , it was never ending and stressful.
Hopefully now I am a little wiser, painful lessons learnt.
    Humans are gullible, I was.
Oh yes,I did get the exemption I sought. Miracles happen, lol, but the ministry I had were to their credit very understanding and gracious.
I was fortunate many not so.

  6. Yep, third year = third tithe. And chickens = bricks.

  7. Did his missive include instructions for those in need (widows, orphans, the poor) on how to get financial help from the third-tithe funds?

  8. I checked the Bible several years ago, and was stumped about what to do with "excess second tithe." I found nothing about turning it in to any church office.

So what DO you do if you can't spend it all in eight days? I know some hold onto it for a fancier Feast next year.

  9. 5:44 PM, exceptionally wealthy members who are also legalist literalists spend their excess second tithe on the other two annual pilgrimage festivals: the DULB and Pentecost. That's what the OT advises.

  10. My excess 2nd tithe has been accumulated over the years and has allowed me to attend the past 8 feasts, post full time/ decent salary years. More feasts in the future.

    1. Don’t tell the ministers that anon6:45PM!

Because if they find out that you have some money stashed away somewhere, they will order you to ‘freely’ hand it over to the RCG.

  11. It is a grand irony that Armstrongists cough up money at great sacrifice to comply with the obsolete tithing law. And conformance to that law, instead of being to their credit, is part of what makes their splinter group a cult and separates them from Christ.

The Baptists tithe but they do not make tithing a requirement for salvation. For Baptists, tithing is just an OT model for voluntary giving. To add requirements to the New Covenant soteriology is to step squarely into Jesus Plus Cultism. The implementation of OT tithing in a NT context is parallel to the requiring of circumcision that Paul fought so diligently against. It deeply disenchants me to see people led to work so diligently under overt oppression to build their own condemnation.

  12. 3rd tithe well executed, may well be a necessity and asset in 3rd rate nations where "obama care" or any communal aid or insurancecon the national level is deemed unconstitutional.

It's not necessary and wcg even abolished it in january 1985, for the European areas as "one of mr armstrongs last decisions".

    1. Interesting Nck.. Because today the RCG also commands the European members to pay third tithe.
But Davey Pack doesn’t care what anyone said. He only cares about his own luxurious lifestyle!

  13. Third tithe makes no sense in today's world. It was ancient Israel's social security system, the equivalent of today's life insurance policies. Today, big government is already performing this role with their high levels of taxation.
In these ACOGs, third tithe is a moral joke. With all the splintering, there's no way that young people who begin to third tithe will ever be able to get a cent back. Where's the justice here? Plus elderly members join the church and straight away get third tithe hand outs even though they have never contributed to this fund. Again, where's the justice here. Third tithe is a scam by the ministers. Much, if not most is secretly skimmed off to pay for ministers retirement. Again immoral.
It's an immoral scam. I don't believe God will condemn any member who says no to this tithe.

  14. The third tithe in the church has always been a scam. It rarely was ever used for widows, orphans of those that need assistance. When it was used to help people they had to beg and humiliate themselves to get a small token. Most of the time that money is used by the church for other reasons. They all have abused it and if they say they haven't they are liars. LCG, RCG, PCG, and UCG are especially guilty of this because they are all led by men who abused 3rd while being employees with the Worldwide Church of God.

  15. Another thing about third tithe is that unlike insurance policies, it's not impartially administered. People can third tithe for decades only to discover that they can't get third tithe assistance because they are disliked by their minister.
My last minister was openly hostile rewards me because I had a sense of justice. So there's no way in high heaven that I would have gotten third tithe assistance from him or similar. It's one big scam.

  16. Was told less than 10% of 3rd tithes ever went to widows or orphans. I remember hearing that someone who asked for assistance being told to file for federal assistance & food stamps.

  17. well, since third tithe is the 3rd and 6th year of the 7 year cycle, and the 7yr cycle has been lost, how can he say that anyone is in the "third tithe year"?

the principle of caring for the poor stands, but to require an additional tithe every 3 years is totally unbiblical.

and, there is no biblical instruction to give any left over 2nd tithe to the Church....you can if you want to, but it's not required.

Yeah, january 1986 it was, first announcement from HQ.

I am in favor of organisations offering even extra assistance above and beyond the support of a nation toward basic living conditions, to support those that really need it (especially when some requirements are mandated by an organisation, (like visiting a religious observation).

The obligatory once in a lifetime pilgrimage to Mecca could also for the needy be paid out of "zakath".

However all such schemes should be properly accounted for in yearly statements brought out by reputed accountants not being Arthur Andersen.

  19. How come we never hear about the seventh year when no tithing was practiced? Tithing went out with the ancient priesthood and these thieves have no legal right to it.
