Well. today is October 19 and close to the end of the day here on the West Coast of the United States. Today is the day that Dave Pack declared that his creature he calls "christ" would return on after it failed to come on the Last Great Day.
Is that creature now communing with Dave in Wadsworth or is he standing outside Dave's security gate knocking to be let in since Dave wasn't quite ready?
The fact remains that Jesus Christ has NOT returned on this day and yet once again Dave Pack has been confirmed to be a liar and a false teacher. I am not even calling him a prophet, since the Churches of God have no prophets in their midst. There are a lot of liars in the church, but no real prophets as the church does NOT need them. If they were real followers of the Christ they claim to follow they would recognize that there is no need for prophets.
Sadly, what we can expect from Dave is more waffling about the date his creature is to return on. The truth of the matter that should be apparent to all of the ministers at the Wadsworth compound is that Dave does not know what he is talking about. Deep down most of these guys know this but do not have the testicular strength to openly confess that. They should be openly be warning members to turn their backs on Dave and leave the church while they still can. Dark days are ahead for the Restored Church of God and its members. It most likely will not be a pretty scene.
And now for that beloved Price is Right sound effect that always accompanies epic failure...

Just wanted to check... Are all the former RCG ministers still okay? Was anyone burned alive or cut in half with a sword? Just making sure, at the Feast your outcomes didn't look so good. Maybe we need a sound off!
ReplyDeleteHe went to Wadsworth in Yorkshire - you know Ephraim comes before Mannaseh!
ReplyDeleteGOOD NEWS BAD NEWS DEPARTMENT...
ReplyDeleteFirst the good news for Pack ...
Jesus has come back!
Now for the bad news for Pack..
He is in Salt Lake City!
Noooooooo! Did Dave got it wrong again?! Or maybe Christ is not paying any attention to what Dave is prophesying..
ReplyDeleteOf course Jesus returned!
ReplyDeleteHave a look at the pic. Jesus the cat returned to it's favorite resting place.
Just so you guys know: The Great Packster hates you for mocking him like this. You wait ‘till he tells his big strong friend Jesus about this.
ReplyDeleteIs the whole RCG leadership voicing and dialing a 10-20 on their CB radios and smart phones this morning?
ReplyDelete10-20 in CB radio slang is: what is your location (Jesus)?
Not receiving a reply, these men all have hurriedly dialed in and affirmed a 10-100 - we need to go to the bathroom!
At what point in time do these men not think they are breaking the commandment of bearing a false witness?
ReplyDeleteJesus Christ in his Matt. 15 counter to the scribes and Pharisees about their honoring God with their mouths and lips - but their hearts were far from him, summed up the men with a defiled heart as having evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, FALSE WITNESS, blasphemies.
Many could make a strong case that Mr. Pack is guilty of all of these judgments but Jesus Christ gave a concluding command concerning men of his type:
"Leave them alone: they are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch".
Kind of irrelevant to this article, but not to this site:
ReplyDeleteWill owning a bible be a hate crime?

No, thats just a bunch of bishops worried that people will treat them the way they treat others.
DeleteThe JWs built a house in San Diego called Beth Sarim, the House of the Princes. It was built for the princes of old, of the Old Testament, who they expected to return. Judge Rutherford, the leader, house sat until they were to arrive. They also published a book entitled, Millions Alive Today will Never Die. This was in the early 20's. Well, guess what? Millions did die and in the late 40's or so the house was sold. History sure repeats itself.
ReplyDeleteI do not believe that there will be dire consequences as a result of this theater. This group may lose some people at the margins but nothing more will happen. As I have written several times recently this event happens cyclically and is not prophetic but liturgical. In form it is similar to the Passion Play that takes place annually in Oberammergau, Germany.
ReplyDeleteAt this point, it is a live, unrehearsed melodrama. But future repetition will serve as rehearsal and eventually it will be transformed into carefully choreographed theater. To me, it seems like it is already somewhat scripted. There is no audience except maybe us and some splinter groups. If Gilbert Cranmer were around, he might buy a ticket. This is just what Millerites do.
It's their thing, a denominational thing, and they don't care what outsiders think about it.
Note: I may be wrong but I doubt it. If this little Millerite group implodes I will recant.
Because we fully believe Dave is possessed, his god is already at the compound. That god is NOT my God!! That god is laughing at everyone who believes Dave!
ReplyDeleteNo2HWA said, "The fact remains that Jesus Christ has NOT returned on this day and yet once again Dave Pack has been confirmed to be a liar and a false teacher."
ReplyDeleteMY COMMENT - Perhaps Dave Pack should borrow an explanation from that delusional witless witness persona from the Book of Revelation, Ron "Tax Cheat" Weinland. When the prophetic dates of Christ's return came and went, his book entitled "2008 - God's final witness" became just another in a long line of Armstrongite prophetic failures. Remember "1975 in Prophecy"?. So when his prophecy didn't pan out, Ron brilliantly proclaimed "IT WAS ALL SPIRITUAL". And of course, implicit is the dumb tithe slave sheep who were too stupid to know it was all SPIRITUAL by taking him LITERALLY. In other words, it was the brethren's fault once again as to why Christ didn't literally return to earth again!
It couldn't be that the HWA wannabes got it wrong. Oh no, heaven forbid!
Richard
Of course Christ didn’t arrive in wadsworth.... He’s not allowed to travel because of all the travel restrictions and COVID lockdowns!
ReplyDeleteThe worst Post Feast experience for an RCG:
ReplyDelete-Alpha Male:
Newspaper on doormat showing no sign of 2nd coming
-RCG lady spouse:
Dr calling from hospital. "I'm sorry mam but I have to report that your son was involved in an accident and he is.......he is .......he is wearing dirty underwear..................."
nck
Look, HWA claimed he was taught directly by Jesus in the Des Moines Public Library. That is a kind of an appearance. And we used to all believe that. So it is not a stretch to believe this little splinter group will sail through this with their dignity intact. It just requires the artful manipulation of the data.
ReplyDeleteJesus couldn't return because Dave was sitting on his right hand and he couldn't get up.
ReplyDelete1975 hurt Armstrongism. This will hurt Dave. But will it destroy him? Probably not.
ReplyDeleteMy prediction is that predictions will fail.
