LCG marches ahead with its Superspreader annual Christmas weekend celebrations in Kansas City and Charlotte

Kansas City Family Weekend—December 25 to 27

The Kansas City Family Weekend is back! We are offering an extended weekend of fellowship, fun, and food—spiritual and physical—to our regional brethren and any beyond who would like to come. In cooperation with Headquarters, we will share the same dates as the Charlotte Family Weekend: Friday, December 25 through Sunday, December 27. So pick one and come spend time with brethren!

We can’t hide it: it’s mostly cold in December in Missouri. But we’re embracing the cold and are excited to offer a new activity this year: snow-tubing at the nearby Snow Creek Ski Area (just northwest of Kansas City). Snow Creek offers skiing and snowboarding options as well. Other activities will be held near the KCI Airport, including Sabbath services, seminar, Bible study, Bible trivia mystery game, two catered dinners, and our unique brand of evening entertainment.

Housing details are available at our website, https://kclcg.org/kcweekend, with two hotel options: the Embassy Suites near KCI starting at $109 +tax per night, and the Holiday Inn near KCI starting at $69–$79 +tax per night.

So pack your winter layers—your face is already covered anyway—and head to Kansas City for a warm family welcome at the 2020 Kansas City Family Weekend.

Rooms at the Embassy Suites Concord will cost $109 (plus tax) per night, and that includes two plated breakfasts. Additional details will be provided with the firm registration form.

  1. At least they're holding both events at the same time. In previous years they would be held on consecutive weekends, so kids could go to both during their Christmas holiday break.

Did they change the timing to reduce the superspreader problem? Or did COG ASS take away enough of the young people that they've had to downsize and deemphasize the events? How convenient that "regulations" this year restrict attendance to 400, when in previous years they've had 800+ at these events.

  2. COG Ass. took far more young people than LCG wants to let on to its members. It was a huge hit to them, similar to COGWA defecting to start their own group.

    1. That’s funny. UCG/COGWA split just about 50/50. COGA had like 400 people at their Feast site which you can see in a picture on their website. LCG still has 10,000 members

  3. "our unique brand of evening entertainment"

That comment alone speaks volumes about LCG and not in a good way!

  4. Good for LCG! Covid is a fake ploy to control the world and to usher in a new world government that will persecute the church. That is the only purpose of this all happening. It is another sure sign of the end times. Watch and be prepared!

  5. Well another year of winter solstice weekend.I thought Christ wanted us to come out of the world. I guess I was wrong come out of her my people did not mean what it said. Cogwa at least cancelled theirs but that did not make it any better. What makes us any better than the the church on the corner? If anything much much worse we supposedly have Gods truth and it does not included a solstice celebration disguised as winter family weekend. What a crock of Joe Tkoch. All the groups that split and split again claiming they were better than the next group. Cant any follow the teachings of Christ?

  6. That's because it follows crazy COG cults and their leaders. How can it ever be serious when there is so much stupidity in the church? As long as there are people like Pack, Flurry, Weinland, Weston, Kubik, Thiel, and other buffoons running the church this blog and others will have ample fodder.

The church has no political power, hence, no reason to go after. This is reality and not your hwa fantasy persecution crap.

  8. Has anyone sent this to the local news stations yet?

Oh as for COVID-19 once you've had it it's isn't quite the hoax sheepeople think. it is.
I got it in Mar. & am still fighting the lingering weakness & a few other fun little surprises it keeps throwing at me

  9. The LCG has their winter festival, which appears to be Christmas celebration in many ways, but not in name. They appear to celebrate in a way that is close, but not quite as the world does. They stand right up to the fence that keeps them safely away from Christmas celebration. Do they still prohibit using the words GEE, or GOLLY because these words are substitutes or simply too similar to using God's name in vain? These words are close, but not quite, yet prohibited. But it appears to me that their winter celebration is close, but not quite as pagan as celebrating Christmas. Why would these celebrations be allowed, but not using certain words?

Simple enough: because all the COG’s are full of hypocrisy and deceit.

  10. eh, just call it a BLM protest and the virus won't spread...

  11. Stay home, invite a couple of relatives that you’ve lost contact with because your minister told you to ban them out of your life. Reconnect with them, tell them you love them and have a good time together (Christmas trees optional).

That’s what I call a family weekend! God is love. Not endless bible studies and isolation.

  12. Why the hell would ANYONE go to a LCG KC event with COVID running rampant? That area and congregation are known to be plagued and cursed with sickness. It's a social club for them because if they cared for the people, they wouldn't have this weekend. But sadly, they care less about who gets sick or if someone dies from sickness. This group spread COVID around at their feast site in Branson this past year.

  13. Well don't expect an apology from LCG HQ when you contract COVID at their super spreader event, they didn't even ask for prayer for those who contracted it at the FOT in Branson this year. You'll have to pester them endlessly just to get a phone call from a minister....they don't give a crap if you live or die and they'll certainly never admit they did anything wrong. I just loved hearing from church officials these people only came down with "mild" cases. I saw with my own two eyes what this did to some and I can promise you....it was anything BUT mild. I guess losing 500 members to Sheldon this year wasn't enough...perhaps they're aiming to kill off a few hundred more?? But you can sure bet, when a minister comes down with it, they'll be calling for a church wide fast.

  14. LCG's winter family weekend reminds me of Joshua and Caleb wanting to enter the promised land. Two faithful men wanted to obey God, but everyone else was afraid. When God chastened the fearful, they then tried to enter using their own strength and it was a disaster. When two faithful men, Monson and Fritz, moved forward in faith, the rest of LCG didn't want to follow. Now that Monson and Fritz are thriving, LCG (now properly chastened) has decided that it is a good idea to move forward. But this decision is not because they now have faith, no, they have just been put to shame by COGA's faith.
