This new throne changes God’s Work significantly!
The new throne elevates our royal standard.
Having this throne, we must come to think about ourselves in a royal way.
We have to think about and study this throne deeply to appreciate what God has given us. We possess the very throne from which Jesus Christ will rule, and the very law He will administer, in the World Tomorrow! God wants His Church today to demonstrate to the world as best we can what that rule will be like! That is quite a responsibility. But we are doing all we can to fulfill it.
We must keep that new throne focus. We strive to make this Church as royal as we can. We have a royal Church, a royal Imperial Academy, a royal college. We have the only royal hope there is in this world: the new throne of David!
That throne’s namesake, King David, loved music and dance. He was highly skilled at these arts, and used them to glorify God. When he brought the ark into Jerusalem, “David danced before the Lord with all his might” (2 Samuel 6:14). When King Saul called for some uplifting art forms, one of his courtiers described the young David as “a skillful musician, a fine dancer, a gentleman, a good reciter and a handsome man, and the Everliving is with him” (1 Samuel 16:18; Ferrar Fenton). Even in music and dance, David honored God. That is royal dancing and music!
HWA "college" students are not taught to be followers of Jesus and to share in that story, but they are being taught to dance and singing musicals produced by PCG.
Our young people are being taught these skills. God’s Church today has royal musicians and royal dancers. They are learning that you can praise and honor God with music and dancing. I believe much of David’s dancing was along the lines of Irish dancing today.
OCG students and members must strive to follow the rock. Not Jesus, but a dirty old rock.
Always strive to fulfill the vision of the new throne. If you have this vision, it makes a difference in your music, dance, or anything you do. God wants us to lift everything to a royal standard and dance like David would dance with all his heart—and like we will in the World Tomorrow! In all we do, we must try to take it up to the royal level! We have a huge responsibility to uphold God’s standard!
PCG is teaching its declining membership that they too will sit next to Jesus upon that dirty old rock to be kings and priests. Can you imagine the living hell it will be for those under the thumb of these crazy people?
God is preparing us to be kings and priests! He is raising that standard and fashioning us into a supremely royal and majestic people who sit on the throne of David with Jesus Christ! We are contributing to the royal family rule of God!
Flurry's mental ramblings get even weirder:
What a wonderful honor for God’s Church to be given a dual crown from God now—the crown of a king and a priest! (Zechariah 6:11-12). No other era of God’s Church ever received what we have received.
But think about this: The dual crown magnifies our reward after emphasizing Christ.
This all revolves around the Father and the Son. This prophecy is about Jesus Christ, and the king-priestly crown conferred on “The Branch.” Here you have an end-time Joshua receiving this dual crown, then right on the heels of that, Jesus Christ returns! This is a stunning turn of events!
Also, Joshua receiving this crown signals the fact that all of God’s firstfruit saints will receive the same dual crown, the crown of a king-priest! What an exalted office! Christ is King of kings and Lord of lords! That is coming, and we are getting ready right now (Revelation 19:7). Christ’s Bride gets ready because she sees the reward: We will be kings and priests sitting with Jesus Christ and helping Him implement the royal law from the very throne of God! She sees the madness of this world, and yearns to stop it! We must hurry, because time is running out!
This really magnifies you. God wants you to understand what your reward is going to be! He wants it to be real! He wants you to live like this is going to happen! The people serving Him today will have dual crowns and will sit on that throne with Christ for eternity!
No, they won't, and that is a FACT!
Can the depth of wickedness get any worse in COGland with Flurry, Thiel, Pack, and Weinland? Sadly, every day is a new day of bizarre behavior and apostate teachings. As the years stretch on and their god has not returned, the weird crazy crap they preach will get worse and worse.
All Kings need a Kingdom to rule, usually a Nation or Nation States. What is Gerald's nation from within America? A compound is not a Nation.
ReplyDeleteCan the concept of a King even exist from within a Nation of United States that rejected and fought against a monarch ruled Kingdom ? 1776 and all that.
A king workout a kingdom. Sounds as legit as President Trump without his presidency.
Delete"..and the very law He will administer."
ReplyDeleteMy, how the ACOGs love the words "administering God's law/government." I'm not aware of that expression appearing in the bible. But it's definitely a code word for ministers following their members around like dogs, and tormenting them by being their resident critic and judge.
God's system by contrast is that of members being taught Godly principles, and being allowed to live their own lives. That's the meaning of the nobleman going to a far country in the parable of the talents. He is not present, and behaving like a meddling pest.
Do these megalomaniac COG leaders really compare themselves with Christ?!
ReplyDeleteDancing around a rock? Sounds familiar... hmm... oh yeah, that's right, Idol worship!
ReplyDeleteThe vanity on this guy! I mean, who does he think he is? He's not worthy to crown Jesus Christ! No man is! He has his scriptures all mixed up or is he just delusional? After all, he does hear voices. Revelation clearly sets out the events of Christ's return - what now, he is changing and twisting scripture?! God has some pretty strong warnings about that. Christ's return is prophesied to be glorious and spectacular, not secretly in the desert on an ordinary looking rock. It also says that His saints will meet Him in the air and then return together to establish His Kingdom on earth, not the other way around.I'm no expert but I am pretty sure that a coronation and wedding ceremony is proficient to occur? Anyone who buys into this is not reading their Bible.
ReplyDeleteBurger King's slogan was "Have it your way!"
ReplyDeleteGerald King's subjects don't have that privilege.
With so many kings and priests who will they have to rule over? Maybe the dog.
ReplyDeleteGerald is a power hungry phony Stalin wannabe. It is all about power and obeying his bogus edicts. Not about the teachings of Christ, he quotes HWA as if it is scripture. No wonder his reich is dwindling away. He is always crowning himself regal names and his writings stuff like "Royal Vision." He is a big "Royal Turd"
ReplyDeleteRoyal Church led by a royal FALSE PROPHET.
ReplyDeleteAny thinking members still left? I guess not. Just dumb, blind, deaf sheep.
shout out to Jeremiah Jacques! didnt you write in your Trumpet rag last yeat that would know a true prophet if what he says comes true. Flurry's Jeroboam prophecy failed, but youre still there. well, i guess youre one more hireling who follows a man and not God. and i had such hope in you.
ReplyDeleteBrian Davis as well as Joel Hilliket said if trumps prophecy didn’t come through then we may have false prophecy and a false prophet. Suddenly now no body is saying anything. Do they think everyone is delusional?
DeleteThe idea of being kings and priests (dual crown) is a misunderstanding. The original Greek states that the resurrected saints will be a "kingdom of priests" not "kings and priests". It only makes sense that Christ is our one King and the everybody else is a priest. What kind of government is it if everyone is a king. It renders being a king meaningless.
ReplyDeleteIt is my personal view that this unsupported idea ("dual crown") plays on the ambitious and competitive approach towards personal performance taken by Splinterists. Hence, it's all about hierarchy and who gets to rule over whom - at Ambassador College, in the congregations and in their odd notion of the Kingdom of God. Most Christians would be puzzled by this theme because of their belief in servant leadership. But this pecking order, self-aggrandizing stuff finds a ready and respondent audience in Splinterdom, I would expect.

Flurry's an idiot. People of his ilk tend towards idolatry without even realizing they are doing it. As this is written a golden Trump is being wheeled around the Republican Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), and comparisons with the Israelites' golden calf are too obvious to mention. The CPAC idol reflects the same mentality as that of Flurry: incredible grandiosity and hubris.
ReplyDeleteThe real Gerald Flurry, PLEASE SIT DOWN!!

ReplyDeleteIt doesn't make sense that the bride of Christ will be exclusively priests. Then who would run governments, and make sure that they are not hijacked by political wackos? Also in the world tomorrow, "cities" will be like the town in the Michael J Fox movie "Doc Hollywood." So there will be many more cities to 'rule' than today.
The idea of being kings and priests (dual crown) is a misunderstanding.
ReplyDeleteYes, and these are separate lines -- King Saul blew it when he didn't wait for Samuel and tried to be King and Priest. Even Jesus - on Earth - can't be a priest; Jesus is only the High Priest - of the order of Melchizedek - in Heaven (Hebrews 7).
Hoss writes:
ReplyDelete“Even Jesus - on Earth - can't be a priest; Jesus is only the High Priest - of the order of Melchizedek - in Heaven (Hebrews 7).”
The above needs to be qualified.
Ge 14:18 And Melchizedek king of Salem ... the priest of the most high God.
Melchizedek, not Jesus Christ, was both king and priest on the earth. So a non-Levite can be a priest of God on the earth.
Ps 110:4 The LORD has sworn and will not change his mind: “You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.”
Ps 110:4b "You are a priest for all time because of Melchizedek." (Nancy deClaisse-Walford).
"When centuries later, Jerusalem fell into David's hands and became his capital (2 Sam. 5:6ff), he and his heirs became successors to Melchizedek's kingship, and probably also (in a titular capacity at least) to the priesthood of God Most High" (F. F. Bruce, The Epistle to the Hebrews, NICNT, p.124).
1Ch 15:27 And David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, and all the Levites that bare the ark, and the singers, and Chenaniah the master of the song with the singers: David also had upon him an ephod of linen.
"... with proper procedure and great rejoicing, the ark made its way up Mount Zion. David led the procession, clothed in the priestly linen ephod, and sacrificing and dancing before the Yahweh. When the ark was safely ensconced in the tabernacle, David and the Levites offered up burnt offerings and fellowship offerings before Yahweh, thus attesting to the covenant union which existed between Yahweh and Israel. Neither the chronicler nor the author of Samuel mentions a priest in the whole course of sacrificing. Clearly David saw himself as a priest and was accepted by the people and the Levites as such. His sacerdotal role is seen also in his appointing of the religious personnel to the tabernacle (1 Chron. 16:4-6). These were led by the Levite Asaph at Jerusalem and by Zadok the priest at the Mosaic tabernacle at Gibeon (1 Chron. 16:37-39). That no mention is made of a priest at Jerusalem may imply that David himself fulfilled that responsibility at least initially (or that Abiathar did so)" (Eugene H. Merrill, Kingdom of Priests, Grand Rapids: Baker Books, 1996), p.266).
"During the time of the Israelite monarchy, kings occasionally officiated at priests (cf. 24:25; 1 Kings 8:64; 9:25). At the same time, however,
we must note that the instances where the king's personal action is beyond question are all very special or exceptional: the transference of the Ark, the dedication of the altar or sanctuary, the great annual festivals. Ordinarily, the conduct of worship was left to the priest (2 K 16:15). Anointing did not confer on the king a priestly character ... he was not a priest in the strict sense. (de Vaux, AIs, p.114)" (Ronald F. Youngblood, 1 & 2 Samuel, EBC, Vol.3, p.874).
1Ki 2:27a So Solomon thrust out Abiathar from being priest unto the LORD;
1Ki 2:35b and Zadok the priest did the king put in the room of Abiathar.
In the Millennium:
Eze 45:22 And upon that day shall the prince prepare for himself and for all the people of the land a bullock for a sin offering.
Eze 45:17 And it shall be the prince's part to give burnt offerings, and meat offerings, and drink offerings, in the feasts, and in the new moons, and in the sabbaths, in all solemnities of the house of Israel:...
Eze 46:2 And the prince shall enter by the way of the porch of that gate without, and shall stand by the post of the gate, and the priests shall prepare his burnt offering and his peace offerings..
Eze 46:8 And when the prince shall enter, he shall go in by the way of the porch of that gate, and he shall go forth by the way thereof.
The above Scriptures give the intent of the type of priestly role of the human Davidic king. The human Davidic Melchizedek king-priest on earth is an inferior antitype (vertical typology) of the divine Davidic Melchizedek king-priest in heaven. From Eze 46 the Millennial king is not to step out from the inner east gate into the inner court.
Ex 19:6a And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests [mamleket kohenim], and an holy nation.
ReplyDelete“There are four defensible Hebrew renderings for ... (mamleket kohenim, “kingdom of priests”): (1) mamleket is an absolute in apposition to kohenim, viz, “kings, i.e. priests”). (2) mamleket as a construct with the nomen regens expressing an attribute of the nomen rectum, “royal priesthood”; (3) mamleket as a construct with the opposite term being the nomen regens, “priestly kingdom” (as in Prov 21:20: kesail ’adam, “a fool of a man,” i.e., a foolish man,” or Ps 2:6 har-qadesi, “hill of my holiness,” i.e., “my holy hill”); or (4) an expressed “and” must be read here: “kings (and) priests.” The emphasis here is not on an individual but on the whole nation (19:3, 6); and the expression is more a compound noun than it is construct... Israel was to be kings and priests to God on behalf of the nations; they were to be mediators of the gospel as missionaries to the world (“in your seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed,” (Gen 12:3b) and they wee to be partakers in the present aspects and coming reality of the “kingdom of God” ” (Walter C. Kaiser Jr., Exodus, EBC, Vol.2, p.417).
Israel was to be a blessing to the world not only as mediators of the gospel.
Gal 3:16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.
In my early days of Bible reading I went searching for the verse or verses that Paul was claiming for his position. I couldn’t find any, which I thought was strange, and so went on to some other subject. The reason I could not find it as there is no Scripture to back up what Paul was saying. Paul was able to make this claim based on Second Temple exegesis that wouldn’t be acceptable today.
Ge 13:14 The LORD said to Abram after Lot had parted from him, “Lift up your eyes from where you are and look north and south, east and west.
Ge 13:15 All the land that you see I will give to you and your offspring forever. (NIV).
Peter Enns explains:
“Here, “offspring is the Hebrew word zera’, which is more literally rendered “seed.” The word is singular in form but can be either be singular or plural in meaning - a linguistic phenomenon often referred to as a “collective noun” (common in English examples including “sheep” and “fish”). What is clear is that, in the context of the promises in Genesis, zera’ has an undeniable plural meaning. Indeed, that is the very point of the promises, not that Abraham will have one offspring, but that there will be too many to count! Even though zera’ is a singular form, it clearly as a plural meaning in Genesis...
“Paul’s rendering of “seed” as singular in meaning because it is singular in form is a deliberate exegetical decision on his part.
“... Paul’s handling of the OT promises betrays an exegetical approach that would be deemed inappropriate by contemporary contentions, but hardly so for ancient, Second Temple standards. The fact that zera’ clearly means multiple, innumerable offspring in Genesis is not Paul’s point of departure...
“What is “proper” exegesis for Paul is determined by his time, not ours, and this recognition must factor into any contemporary discussion of how we explain the NT use of the OT (and subsequently how we are to be faithful to an apostolic model). The fact that such an exegetical manoeuver would not be persuasive today ... should not dissuade us from making the necessary observation that Paul’s handling of Scripture here in Galatians 3:15-29 is a function of his Second Temple context. Our first task is to be understood what Paul is doing...” (Three Views on the New Testament Use of the Old Testament, (p.181-85).
The great introduction to this book by Jonathan Lunde is worth the price of this book alone, at least I think so. (Cont. next post).
"One of the greatest obstacles we face in trying to interpret the Bible is that we are inclined to think in our own cultural and linguistic categories. This is no surprise since our categories are often all that we have, but it is a problem because our own categories often do not suffice and sometimes mislead" (John H. Walton, Genesis, NIVAC, pp.67-68).
ReplyDeleteI wish now that when I first started reading the Bible someone had impressed upon me that the Bible is ANE literature and that an appreciation of ANE “cultural and linguistic concepts” is required not to come too many wrong understandings. Something the COGs need to do to correct their wrong doctrines.

ReplyDeletethat's because their paycheck depends on them staying in PCG. even Jeremiah Jacques wrote that in their Trumpet rag last year but he's still there. when the time comes to proving 'believing in God and not man,' they buckle at the thought of being without money. Brad Macdonald wrote in 2015 or 2016 that we should nit be afraid to "stand alone with God," but what they really all meant is they cannot stand alone without money, without being in the PCG.
HYPOCRITES! why would anyone believe these "men of Israel" when they don't have the balls to stand by what they've said or what they wrote.
ReplyDeleteBRIEF CULT SUMMARY
The cult: Philadelphia Church of Fraud.
Spirits behind it: Satan and the demons and beer.
The inhuman leader: That Runt, Gerald Flurry.
Method of operation: POWERFUL DECEPTION. When the apostate Joseph W. Tkach, Sr.'s Great Apostasy of January 1995 in the Worldwide Church of God threw out virtually everything that Herbert W. Armstrong had taught, Gerald Flurry used the occasion to pretend that he was holding fast to all of HWA's teachings while actually slipping in his own truly massive doctrinal changes. Gerald Flurry used HWA's name and photograph to attract HWA's old followers at a time when many other splinter groups were trying to start up with some of HWA's teachings but without mentioning HWA's name.
Major doctrines: Gerald Flurry and John Amos plagiarized from Jules Dervaes to make a “little book.” Immediately suppressed the true gospel of the kingdom of God. Replaced the Great Commission to preach the gospel with a “new commission” to act like jerks and cause division and call it “warning the Laodiceans.” Bought the copyrights to some of HWA's old writings but edited and changed them so Gerald could pass himself off as a prophet leading the church. Gerald Flurry made up much “new revelation” about how great he himself supposedly is. Got into identity theft, saying that Gerald, rather than Jesus, is That Prophet of Deuteronomy 18:18-19 that everyone is supposed to listen to. Came up with a “No Contact” policy to promote family wrecking in an attempt to undo HWA's work of turning the hearts of the fathers to their children and the hearts of the children to their fathers. Promotes sexual immorality. Wastes everyone's time with Irish dancing. Gerald found a new pet rock to try to crown himself over.
The people: A lot of old sex maniacs, sex perverts, and predators who went to the PCG for their own selfish and immoral reasons. When they do not get what they want, they get frustrated and quickly become angry and resort to lying and slandering to get their intended victims kicked out.
It’s all self idolatry anyway.
ReplyDeleteFrom the COG leaders, thinking they’re Gods and demand to be treated as such by the members.
From the ‘ministers’, thinking they can lord of the lay members because they are ‘men of God’.
From the lay members, thinking they are better then people ‘in the world’. Because they will be ‘powerful kings and queens’ one day.
Christ was a humble man. Preaching and teaching love for your fellow humans and love for God.
He never said anything about living on big compounds in expensive mansions, lording over members or handing all your money to a self appointed ‘Pastor General’, ‘Doctor’ or ‘Editor in chief’. Christ even clearly warned about NOT to follow false prophets and lovers of money and power.
Any COG leader telling you something else, regardless how many scriptures he is misusing ‘to proof’ his COG teachings, is a lover of self. A lover of power and a lover of money. No more, no less.
All this is so clear.. The Bible is clear. Why can’t COG members see that? Are they so blinded by the idea to become ‘kings and queens’? That teaching is no better than the teachings of other ‘worldly’ religions were members expect to enter Nirvana or enter ‘Jannah’ and receiving 72 virgins.
Christ was clear about it. And God is not the author of confusion. The COG leaders on the other hand..
From the stories I’ve been told, when Flurry went to find this so called rock, there were several scattered in the field. The people helping him didn’t know which rock fit the location description so Flurry pointed arbitrarily at one and said to take it.
ReplyDeleteThey don't even call it David's throne anymore, it's the Celtic throne now. When they dance all they need is Oak trees on stage to make it more realistic Paganism.
