Dave Pack: My god/Father is coming back before my creature "christ" to kill all who have left the church
It's interesting that Dave didn't play it safe by sticking with imitating HWAs teachings.
Imagine the stir Dave would cause if, one Sabbath, he were to get up in front of his congregation and read his infamous 1998 statement, "Don't follow me if I change things and lead you away from HWA's teachings." Then imagine him looking at his flock and telling them, "You fools! You would do anything I told you! Well, now I'm telling you that I was testing you, and you FAILED. As of today, we're going back to the truth once delivered, and we're re-establishing HWA's teaching as the standard in this church. Except that you fools don't qualify to be members!"
That way, Dave would lose most of his current membership, but few if any HWA fans would join or rejoin RCG. Dave would be free to cash out and move into a comfortable retirement.
"Don't follow me if I change things and lead you away from HWA's teachings."
Rod Meredith recounted how in an early AC Bible class HWA told his handful of students that they would blindly follow whatever he said. Rod said he alone raised his hand, to which HWA said, "Rod, I know you wouldn't."
Nutcase. Where is his medication?
ReplyDeleteI smell desperation. It's interesting that Dave didn't play it safe by sticking with imitating HWAs teachings.
