Convincing members that the end is imminent was a mind control ploy that impoverished the lives of thousands. Members put off education, medical treatment, finding a mate, with many loosing the will to live. All while Herb lived in his mansion, using silver and gold dinner ware and staying in five star hotels. May he rot in hell.
ReplyDeleteShame on those splinters who venerate the man and have made their splinter in his image. Like the Roman Catholics, they worship the church rather than God.
If they were open, they would name their churches 'The Church of Church,' and pray "Our Church who art in heaven, hallowed by thy name.."
Racism is the tip of the iceberg. The inside culture is against all kinds of people for no fault of their own. I've known innocent truthful brethren falsely accused of being liars. I've known law abiding honest folks falsely accused of theft when they'd never even think to do such a evil thing.
ReplyDeleteInterestingly the most outrageous and false slander comes from Pastors and their Deacons. Evil is very real in this life.
If you read some of Isaac Newton's writings back in the 17th century, he mentioned how many of his contemporaries were predicting back then that it was the "last days" & he said they did so out of folly.

Satan, from the beginning has always fostered racism. And hatred is just another form of racism. Look at the USA today and look at the world today. It is full of lies and racism.
Back when Jesus Christ walked the Earth racism and hatred and lies existed then too. Jesus Christ took the scribes, the sadducees, and the pharisees, to task over and over and over again.
And even after Jesus Christ's resurrection and returning to Earth for a second time, lasting only 40 days, and then leaving again, the apostles had to continue to deal with racism and hatred, as evidenced by seeing the Jews squared up against the Gentiles and vice versa.
The god of this world, currently reigning over this earth, is ruling with his curses, racism, hatred and, perhaps more than anything else, his lies, is spreading worldwide like leaven through dough, and guarantees that evil will abound, at least until he is put into a pit. Jesus Christ recognized the daily evils that occurred during his lifetime when he walked this Earth:
Matthew 6:34
"Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof."
When will these evils begin to cease? Because after a thousand years, Satan will be released from that temporary pit-stop, and all "hell" is going to break out again ... worldwide!
Almighty God has no reason to put a covid pandemic on the US and all mankind, including China. So, is Satan stepping up his "game?"
Time will tell...
John
I'm 1:04 PM and thank you John for the 7:52 comments. At times I have no hope any good folk are still alive in the Church. I have witnessed much hatred abounding within the Church of God. I know saints of God must be on the earth but the is so much scattering which puts Christians in grave danger of the hate filled ones. Although I know Jesus protects and one day we will be with Jesus in paradise.
Delete"God has no reason to put a COVID pandemic in the US and all mankind.."
DeleteVery wrong. Governments have used COVID to make their governments more authoritarian. This is setting the stage for then ten kings in Europe.
Five years ago I started a new sport and the holy spirit informed me that I only have about more 4 years before advancing age would make the sport impractical. Guess what? I've slowed down only slightly. My conclusion? God knew that COVID and it's restrictions, which includes my sport, was coming.
Yes, it's anecdotal evidence, but such evidence is often under rated.
John claims, "Almighty God has no reason to put a covid pandemic on the US and all mankind, including China. So, is Satan stepping up his 'game?'"
ReplyDeleteIn the book of Job, you remember, Almighty God did not need a reason, or even an excuse, to torture Job. However, he will adopt one if challenged. Satan goaded him into acts of unspeakable cruelty, and that was enough. Maybe Satan is making a new dare: "Betcha can't sweep the US and all mankind, including China, with a pandemic pestilence, nyah nyah nyah!"
Isaac Newton's writings
ReplyDeleteIsaac Newton predicted the end-time as 2060. That amount of wiggle room really outdoes Bob Thiel!
Herbert W.Armstrong in the early seventies discussed with a black African man that they in fact were cousins.... This was published in a high circulation magazine all over the USA!
ReplyDeleteNck
Hint Rasta
Well Herbert was near blind nck.

God didn't adopt any reason/excuse to torture Job, and Satan is an oppressor of human beings, as was presented in the example of Job, preserved for us to learn from.
"How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him." Acts 10:38
"When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with [his] word, and healed all that were sick:" Matthew 8:16
And Jesus was doing His Father's will there. He continued doing that in cities and villages:
"And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people." Matthew 9:35
Wouldn't we like to see/hear of such things today? But that isn't God's will at this time within His Plan of salvation to save all human beings and subsequently take/destroy Satan and his angels: those oppressors.
Job was righteous to God's law b/c of what God had accomplished in his life, but Job took full credit thinking he was doing it all. Job was being educated about good and evil, about God and who his real enemies were and what they do to people. Job wasn't being punished for doing wrong, but God wanted the example of his life preserved for us. Job was upright, did fear God and did hate evil and wondered why such unspeakable cruelty came upon him, his family, and his possessions like as happened. Job knew of blessings and cursings associated with the covenant that God made with the Israelites for obedience/disobedience, respectively. God used Satan to help Job eventually "see" God, not just "hear" Him. Job questioned God.
It's a huge story, and God was as aware of what was happening in Job's life, as what was to happen in Jonah's life, and/or Jesus Christ for that matter. Why not?
"Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world." Acts 15:18. Job, Jonah, Jesus Christ were all part of God's works. None of those works were in vain.
Job and his wife temporarily lost 10 children, but the story didn't end there. They all, along with 10 more children, will all will awake in the 2nd resurrection (there is no 3rd), be reunited, and live again, in the flesh, and live happily ever after with God as their God, and they as part of His people.
Is God a respecter of persons? Will God eventually see every human being, who ever lived, alive again as a part of His Kingdom, in paradise if you will, whether in spirit form or in flesh, and at some point thereafter see Satan and his angels destroyed (2 Peter 2:12; Ezekiel 28:19, etc.)?
And God's works? "He hath made his wonderful works to be remembered: the LORD [is] gracious and full of compassion."
Will we all acknowledge that that statement is true?
Time will tell...
John
