  1. What passed as scholarship within the cog movement pass and present is of such a low standard that I cringe at what so many of us embraced.Yet many of us sincerely believed it and it seemed to provide answers to questions we once held. BI theory just does not stand under the light of critical examination and thought let alone historical and archaeology evidence and the scripture itself.
The tragedy is that it is still held up as the ’Key’ to understanding our past present and future within Armstrong remnants.
Well may it meet its demise as the Armstrong movement undoubtedly will.

  3. Mario Espinosa is such a great guy. I did some interviews with him when I first left. Really like that he was on this show!

  4. Which country was the fastest country to come out from nowhere to become the greatest nation on earth in less than 300 years? China? No, no no! Hint: Something to do with Mannaseh.

  5. All this anti B.I. bias depends on a persons heritage, culture and surname. With that alone in mind anti B.I. bias is a losing battle amongst huge sways of Sabbath keepers.

  6. I don’t quite get this fetish over BI other gripes, here. Most comments seemingly aren’t directed really against BI per se, but mainly against a man. And, gleefully using the fake term “Armstrongism.” That must make the bias official, right?

However, the BI teaching is promoted by many others and because of that all the pseudo ranting against it will not stop it from being taught. HWA is dead, but the non wcg world still exists that believes the doctrine.

Years ago I found problems with this teaching but I don’t have to label it “Armstrongism” so I can get at a man long dead. Instead, when finding other problems that one person couldn’t correct, my wife and I simply walked out and lived our faith apart from the wcg.

Anybody up for presenting some really uplifting inspiring data, info, stories, examples etc. to help get out of this morass of a wail, a moan and a dirge treadmill? Also, anyone willing to expose their own sins and mistakes publicly before running down others they love to criticize? Just thing of the gossip we could spread about each other for another century! Yeah!!

For example, my wife and I have been miraculously blessed with home, utilities, and more for the rest of our days without strings attached. Anyone else have great blessings to share?

  7. “What people believe prevails over the truth.” Socrates.
The arguments for BI are shallow indeed. Yet even in the face of compelling facts against this most erroneous theology some cling to it.
Tells us about the human condition, that we love a lie even in the face of evidence that dictates otherwise.
What is gratifying is the numbers that hold to this folly are falling rapidly. As many come to see this ideology as completely incompatible with scripture and history, and the gospel. The comments such as expressed here for BI such as Manasseh being evidence of the USA s greatness show us the shallowness of the arguments. That is not sound reasoning but purely conjecture without any facts to support.
There is plentiful documentation debunking this theology, search the links on this webpage for example.
http://www.losttribesofisraelmyth.com/ etc etc etc just for starters….A doctrine that does not stand under the light of critical examination is one that should be jettisoned.

    1. The British covered the largest land mass in human history, and was in possession of dozens of sea gates. Calling this "purely conjecture without any facts to support " is pure gas lighting on your part.
I got this garbage many times at services. When I complained about a sin, I was told that the event never happened. Ministers often complained from the pulpit about sins "real and imagined.' Offend their boot licking minions and it was a different song.
      So BI isn't "imagined."

    2. Very well said 8:26. Corrupt ministry are usually very much into gas lighting. Especially when doing wrong. Gas lighting and lying usually go together.
Gaslighting, outrageous lies and ferocious anger signs to look out for.

Yes indeed they did. But that does not mean they are a Semitic people’s.
Joseph had two sons to an Egyptian bride,of Hamitic origins, to say they miraculously became Anglo Saxons through this Semitic and Hamitic union just shows the low logic and reasoning inherent in BI. Jesus had the opportunity once and for all time to clearly point out where Israel was. But nothing, not a word clearly spelt out removing any doubt that Israel were indeed located in the British Isles. John the Baptist was manifested to ‘all Israel’ as scripture plainly states. Did that mean across the seas in Britain?
The Encyclopaedia Britannia states,’ The theory of British Israelism rests on premises deemed by scholars both theological and anthropological to be utterly unsound’.

    Where does it say this?

  10. Good question. I found these scriptures.
Luke 1:16 And you child will be called the prophet of the Highest, for you will go before the face of the Lord....To give knowledge of salvation to His people....So the child grew and became strong in spirit and was in the desserts till his manifestation to Israel.
Acts 13:24, John preached to all the people of Israel....
A little simple research and bingo, BI bollocks starts to crumble.
    Isaiah 45:1-4,48:12-14,20
For Jacob my Servants sake, for Israel my elect....
Go forth from Babylon flee from the Chaldees and say the Lord has redeemed His Servant Jacob.
See http://www.losttribesofisraelmyth.com/ for some great scriptural sources, cheers.

    Just a little ‘teaser’:-

The twelve apostles are mentioned, starting in Matthew 10v2:-

    Mat 10:2 Now the names of the twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;

Christ then gives them a commission starting in v5&6

Mat 10:5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:
Mat 10:6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

So they were sent to the ‘lost sheep of the house of Israel’.

Some extracts from the declaration of Arbroath (Scotland), written in 1320:-

‘We find that among other famous nations our own, the Scots, has been graced with widespread renown. It journeyed from Greater Scythia by way of the Tyrrhenian Sea and the Pillars of Hercules, and dwelt for a long course of time in Spain among the most savage peoples, but nowhere could it be subdued by any people, however barbarous. Thence it came, twelve hundred years after the people of Israel crossed the Red Sea, to its home in the west where it still lives today’

So this shows where they thought they had come from (remember this was written 700 years ago).

It then goes on to claim that the apostles Andrew, following Christ’s commission, came to them in Scotland:-

‘the King of kings and Lord of lords, our Lord Jesus Christ, after His Passion and Resurrection, called them, even though settled in the uttermost parts of the earth, almost the first to His most holy faith. Nor did He wish them to be confirmed in that faith by merely anyone but by the first of His Apostles - by calling, though second or third in rank - the most gentle Saint Andrew, the Blessed Peter’s brother, and desired him to keep them under his protection as their patron for ever’.

You can’t say HWA invented this one! It was written 600 years before he wrote on the subject. In fact I have never noticed a COG mention of this. I originally stumbled upon it when in Arbroath some years ago.

OK, so the pro BI’s can use this as an additional snippet of information, the anti BI’s can immediately reject it (after all what would the Scottish people know of history 700 years ago)!

  12. Hi all. Yes the declaration of Arbroath (Scotland) is fascinating reading.Lots of infro available readily on the net about it.But the Scotts etc are not 'Semitic'.
Matt 10:6 But rather go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Matt 9:36 He was moved with compassion for them.....like sheep having no shepherd.
Israel was standing right before Jesus, lost not knowing Him ....like lost sheep.
That this scripture meant the Apostles were to travel to the UK is laughable. Its highly likely they did not know the British Isles existed, not impossible one day we may know.
http//:www.losttribesofisraelmyth.com/ I have found a good source for scriptures on this topic of BI.
