Cry Baby False Prophet Still Letting Rod Meredith Live In His Head

The endless comedy routine that is Bwana Bob Thiel continues unabated as he is whining AGAIN about how Rod Meredith refused to listen to him when the all-knowing One tried to educate him about the "man of sin".

Not only is the most important prophet to have ever lived in the entirety of Christendom still angry at Rod Meredith, but he is also pissed off at the Church of God the Eternal.

A while back (in its 3/8/19 newsletter), after making attacks against me (but without mentioning my name) CEG (Church of the Eternal God), a group whose leaders were once part of the old Global Church of God, then published the following:

the fact that the man of sin is not the beast, but the false prophet,

Fact?

If you are a Christian who stands firmly with the rest of Jesus Christ, as Christians have done for millennia, no one and I repeat NO ONE has to worry about WHO the 'man of sin is'.  It is irrelevant in the grand scheme of things. It is still only relevant in the disturbed minds of certain false COG prophets and end-time speculators.

The Great Bwana and Savior of Africa yanks his homeopathic knickers higher than ever with more whining about Rod Meredith.

On multiple occasions from 2008-2012, I sent Dr. Meredith detailed biblical information explaining why the man of sin was not the second beast of Revelation 13, and until I saw the above, I never really received a negative response from him (though he had previously published older information with a similar position). Instead two leading LCG ministers (including at least one LCG evangelist) told me I was right about this.

It is absurd that Dr. Meredith’s April 17, 2013 letter suggested that if one does not agree with the conclusion that the false prophet is the “man of sin” of 2 Thessalonians 2, then one does not understand prophecy. Dr. Meredith also called knowledge of this chapter VITAL. But is the man of sin the false prophet, the second beast of Revelation 13, or not?

No, it is not, thus those who follow LCG or CEG (or RCG or COG-ff) are not following leaders that understand this element of biblical prophecy.

It's amazing how long Rod Meredith has retained residency in Bwana Bob's deluded mind.

Everyone in the COG's is wrong and needs to be educated by the Great Bwana to Africa. After all, he knows bests as teh greatest human prophet to ever exist in human history!

The man of sin is the ‘beast of the sea” (also known as the King of the North) and not the false prophet.

Those in CEG, LCG, RCG, etc. really need to pay more attention to the scriptures related to that.

Furthermore, groups such as COGWA, PCG, and UCG also have the identity wrong.

After a long tirade of useless drivel, he has this:

The truth about the identity of the man of sin is one that the CCOG has restored.

In closing, let me add that leaders in both LCG and UCG told me in the past that the position that the ‘man of sin’ in 2 Thessalonians 2 is the King of the North Beast and is NOT the false prophet is correct, even though their respective organizations teach the opposite, essentially because of a misunderstood tradition.

Jesus condemned religious leaders who relied on tradition over the word of God:

8 For laying aside the commandment of God, you hold the tradition of men. … All too well you reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your tradition. (Mark 7:8-9)

Jesus more importantly condemned lying false prophets who set about trying to deceive church members with lies and false teachings. The lies of Bwana Bob are getting close to surpassing Dave Pack and Gerald Flurry's lies combined!

Bwana Bob's butthurt is epic and demands that people acknowledge him as a true prophet of God, though no one does. LOL!

In the Continuing Church of God, “We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:” (2 Peter 1:19, KJV).

Yet, sadly, most end time Christians are Laodicean and do NOT accept how the Bible shows that God works.

The Bible shows that part of the final phase of the work is being done by God’s Spirit through His people (with God and angels directly handling other parts, e.g. Revelation 14:6-11), but many will not have the faith to believe:

Most Church of God members have enough understanding and faith to discern that Bwana Bob is a liar and a false prophet. That is why 99.99 % of the Church of God ever went with him.  Partially thanks to Rod Meredith and others lambasting him from the pulpit. Never has a self-appointed COG upstart been such a failure. The best part about Rod Meredith casting a shadow on Bwana Bob's name is that Bob had to learn about Rod Meredith's banishment of him from THIS blog! That had to have been the best moment in the 10 year run of this blog. That alone makes this all worthwhile!

  2. Talk about semantics! How can anyone live their lives or concentrate on the really major aspects of daily existence while being consumed by such irrelevant minutiae? Don't these guys have children whose school lunches are more important than this?

  3. Yes, Bob is a false prophet.

Bob has a developmentally disabled son. No doubt a large part of Bob's psychological instability is tied up in that. Has God given any other prophet a developmentally disabled son? Does God expect a father to tend to his son at the expense of public proclamation of God's prophecies? God could have made sure that all of Bob's children were healthy, so what message is He sending by allowing (or causing) one child to be retarded?

Reconciling his parental duties and his prophetic duties must be a major strain on Bob.

  7. Well that's a relief!

At least something is in his head, even if its the "zeitgeist" of RCM, as it was previously surmised that natures only "pure vacuum" was in there.

  8. Anon 7:40 - A prophet's lot is not a happy one. Prophets of old have been required to do many things that interfered with their prophecorial duties. Perhaps Bob's son is his thorn in the flesh.

Renting Rod space in Bob's head:

"It's the biggest one I could find for the price!"
"So much clutter! The things this guy hoards!"
"It's the best way for me to mess with his head!"
    "Bob! I am your father!"

  9. Years ago when I was in a meeting with a lot of LCG ministers and elders the topic of Bob Thiel came up. He had either said or done something rather stupid and it was being discussed. We couldn't stop laughing at how weird he was getting. Other than a couple of people who regularly jerked him off with warm fuzzy platitudes and praises, most present thought he had mental issues. Bob thought he had fertile ground to recruit new members from LCG members when he started his apostate group, but they refused to listen to him. That also has rubbed Bob's chicken the wrong way and he has been resentful of that fact.

  10. Bob Thiel is why I am embarrassed to say I was ever part of Armmstrongism. How can anyone fall under the spell of these evildoers?

  13. Maybe our prophet can foresee a deepening of the bromance between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin. Putin is apparently attempting to reconstitute the Soviet Union, his version of a return to greatness. So, tell us, Bob, will the Donald have a bunch of red ballcaps made up for his bud with the Cyrillic version of MRGA adorning the front panel?

  14. Bob also writes:

    “the false prophet (also known as the two-horned beast and final Antichrist)”;

    while I agree that the Beast/King of the North/the wilful king/the Prince that shall come/the lawless one is the “man of sin”;

I disagree that the false prophet/two-horned beast is the Antichrist.

Mt 2:2 Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.
Heb 8:4 For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law:

Mt 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets,

The beast-person is "an opponent of Christ; that which sets itself in the place of Christ, which appears as Christ in opposition to Christ..." (E. W. Bullinger, A Critical Lexicon and Concordance to the English and Greek New Testament, p.56).

Rev 5:6 ... a Lamb ... having seven horns and seven eyes,
Rev 13:1 ... a beast ... having seven heads and ten horns,

Rev 5:6 a Lamb standing, as [hos] having been slain [esphagmenen]
Rev 13:3 one of its heads, as [hos] having been slain [esphagmenen] to death

Rev 2:8b ... the First and the Last, who became dead, and lived [ezesen]
Rev 13:14b ... the beast who has the wound of the sword, and lived [ezesen]

"In John's description of the beast, there are numerous parallels with Jesus that should alert the reader to the fact that John is seeking to establish...a theological characterization...: Both wielded swords; both had followers on whose foreheads were inscribed their names (13:16-14:1); both had horns (5:6; 13:1); both were slain, the same Greek word being used to describe their deaths (sphagizo, vv.3,8); both had arisen to new life and authority; and both were given (by different authorities) power over every nation, tribe, people, and tongue as well as over kings of the earth (1:5; 7:9; with 13:7; 17:12). The beast described here is the great theological counterpart to all that Christ represents..." (Alan F. Johnson, Revelation, Expositor's Bible Commentary, Vol.12, p.527).

  17. Rod Meredith in one of his TV programs just prior to his death, strongly implied that ministers have a right to possess church members. Implying a fact/doctrine and then using the "magic" of repetition to crash members minds is the most common form of deception in the ACOGs.
Possessing people amounts to stealing their human and hence eternal lives.
There's no way in high heaven that God will allow a minister into His kingdom that has taught such perversity.
Rod will not be in the kingdom, and anyone who uses him to give credibility to some viewpoint is naive.

  18. Maybe Sideshow Bob can morph himself back into Cartoon Bob and produce one of his world renown animations - the door he claims God opened to the Continuing Church of God - and explain all this in a cartoon.

  19. Well, Richard, it's all nostalgia today. Armstrongism is like the Oldies shows on PBS, bringing back the surviving members of 1950s Doo Wop groups, so that the geriatric set could see their first faves performing one more time. Somebody ought to call T.J. Lubinsky and get him to scour the splinters for surviving preachers from Armstrongism to do a nostalgia show. Oops! Too late! Even the second generation is dying off at this point. Dave Pack, Gerald Flurry, Bob Thiel, and Ron Weinland are to Armstrongism what the punk rockers are to Buddy Holly and Dion and the Belmonts.

Even if Bob Thief became a bullfrog, he would still insist on drinking apple cider vinegar twice daily, with wine as only an occasional God-approved treat. And he would only be your good friend if you agreed that he was the only doubly-croaked prophet in the frog kingdom today.

  22. Oooh, man! I just can't believe what came to me today ridin' along on the ol' Harley! Bob Thiel isn't just Jeremiah Bullfrog, his entire life and calling is guided by the musical catalogue of Three Dog Night!!!

"One (Is The Loneliest Number)" marks the beginning. Because of the nuances of the personality with which he was born, Bob feels cut off and all alone.

"Mama Told Me Not To Come" describes Bob's feelings when in reaching out for acceptance, he responds to the invitation of some of his classmates and attends a Super Bowl party. It really freaks him out and causes a lifelong hatred for football!

"Joy to the World". Ah, there's the ticket! Young Bob realizes that football heroes aren't where it's at! People actually want to be a friend of the prophet Jeremiah and drink wine with him! Maybe he can do something with this!

"Eli's Coming", and watch out world, because his real name is Dr. Bob Thiel! And, he's a "One Man Band"!

"Never Been to Spain" wistfully sets off inspiration to get out and explore the world, to do something! Why continue to bury your talents?

"Black and White". Bob realizes that his contemporaries have been missing the boat by overemphasizing the white Israelites. What about the Africans???

This is further emphasized by "The Family of Man"! Voila! Another example of a double portion!

"Shambala" is a metaphor for Mother Africa! It sets Bob off on a journey much like Paul's, in which his ministry as a prophet is devoted to the Gentiles.

"The Show Must Go On" Regardless of his inadequacies, Bob must rise to the occasion and start his own Armstrongite ministry.

Celebrate! Describes the ACOG Celebrity Ball, and because of his ministry as the only ordained prophet of Armstrongism, the ball is to honor Bob and his achievements in a way that had been denied him by his ACOG mentors who wrote him off as a light weight throughout most of his church membership.

"Easy to be Hard". A finally successful Bob steels himself against the detractors who spoke derisively of his flailing hands, crappy curtains, and crooked pictures and bookshelves, and declares that the song "Liar" is about them. Unfortunately, he hardens himself and takes it out on these people after begrudgingly allowing them to enter Petra.

Some things never change, and Bob is so vain that he assumes that "Old Fashioned Love Song" was written about him in gratefulness for his ministry.

  24. Jeremiah Bullfrog

That reminds me of the first time I ever heard GTA - he was doing a Panorama of Prophecy series and made the crack Jeremiah Was A Bullfrog a few times. After I heard GTA the first time, within weeks he seemed to be everywhere - radio and word of mouth, and later, advertising, "5 Minute Capsule" programs, television...
The first time I noticed PCG was in Readers Digest, then Key of David.
The other COGs, including Bob Thiel? The Painful Truth, Ambassador Report and various blogs like Banned. I probably would never have known about Bob if it wasn't for these blogs. One reason Bob's group is so small (apart from Africa) is that he's just really not "out there" - not even a fraction of what GTA had some 50 years ago. Okay, lots of videos and verbiage, but no obvious presence, considering he claims to be the short end-time work attracting world attention.
Bob should be thankful for the free advertising he gets here. Ribbit! Ribbit!

  26. Well, Hoss, I just don't get these podcasts of today. I mean, I know what a podcast is, but how are they anything like the radio or television? It used to be that dial surfers or channel surfers who were just trying to see what was on the air at night as they were driving would happen across The World Tomorrow, and because it was not recognizable as your typical religious program, because they liked what HWA or GTA were saying, and because it was interesting, they as a listener were roped in. You couldn't just Google Garner Ted Armstrong back then and find out all about his affiliations and life history, you just realized that he was interesting, kind of like what happened in our more contemporary times with Art Bell, or his successor George Noory. So it made sense back then to remember or pull over and jot down, post office box 111, Pasadena CA. You learned more, gradually, through your request for free literature.

How can you have this type of encounter through the internet? I don't know about how anyone else uses the internet, but when I use it, it is usually to find specific information. I remember a song that I haven't heard in decades, Google it, and can watch the original group that wrote it actually perform it. If I want to know how to play the guitar parts, chaces are that someone, or possibly even the original artist has produced a tutorial which I can access. If I am working on a vehicle, I can Google a symptom, and the year, make and model of the vehicle, and there is a tutorial telling me how to fix it. If I'm working on my shower, and a bad valve is badly stuck in the pipe, there is a tutorial telling me how to make a tool which extracts it. In other words, in my surfing of the internet, I would be very unlikely to encounter a web program with any of the ACOG ministers while trying to find out how to correctly play the rhythm or lead guitar parts of "Can't You See?" by the Marshall Tucker Band. When I Google that, Gerald Flurry or Ron Weinland don't come up amongst the choices. If I wanted to watch one of their podcasts, I would need to know about them already, so that I could even find them through a search engine! It is very unlikely that I would accidentally encounter them as one would have done in the magical days of AM radio.

We haven't remarked recently how Armstrongism was time and date stamped for a certain era, but this is yet another example. Religious broadcasting has for the most part become ghettoized on TBN, or Daystar, The Armstrong religion is just not compatible with the typical doctrinal approaches of the presenters on those networks, and is therefore unacceptable and cannot purchase time with them. Even if it were, Armstrongism has always taught that you must single-source your spiritual pursuits to them exclusively, and would therefore probably not want to be on a network with so many other gifted evangelists. Ron Dart did a good job of ministering to independent Armstrongites, but none of the major groups were ever able to "corral the cats" who listened to him.

The marketing of Armstrongism is very severely limited today in ways that HWA couldn't even imagine. Even poor old Jeremiah Bullfrog has no contemporary equivalent for an enterprising radio preacher to tap into as he skillfully cuts across cultural lines to make a point. Lady Gaga and Ed Sheeran are not as good at coming up with universal images like Three Dog Night.

  27. You're right, Anon 912, the Golden Age of Armstrongism has gone. Times have changed and the methodology of the COGs hasn't adapted well.
For Bob, his small group just isn't capable of bankrolling him to greatness. If indeed we who were part of a Divine Call, the call has now has all but disappeared.
Armstrongism is now a swan song and the Bullfrog will eventually croak...

  30. Cry Baby false prophet spewed out the following satanic theory about the "man of sin:"

"...The man of sin is the ‘beast of the sea” (also known as the King of the North) and not the false prophet.

Those in CEG, LCG, RCG, etc. really need to pay more attention to the scriptures related to that.

Furthermore, groups such as COGWA, PCG, and UCG also have the identity wrong..."

Additionally, the last paragraph of this Original Post accurately describes Bob Thiel: "...Most Church of God members have enough understanding and faith to discern that Bwana Bob is a liar and a false prophet. ..."
    ******
What if Bob Thiel and all of those uncaring xcog hirelings, who fled the former WCG, are blinded to the identity of the man of sin being revealed?

What's needed? A different viewpoint? What could be different?

Who is the man of sin? Satan!

Who is the beast? Satan! Proof? Revelation 12:3, 9; Revelation 13:1

Where is man of sin information located?

    2 Thess 2:3 "Let no man deceive you by any means: for [that day shall not come], except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God."

Who else has a vile attitude like that? Hint.

"For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:" Isaiah 14:13

    Huh?

"I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High." Isaiah 14:14

Oh, a man of sin: a man can't be a spirit being?

Go read about the visitors to Lot's home. Genesis 19:1, 5-6, 10 angels called men
Read: "Yea, whiles I [was] speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel,..." Daniel 9:21
Read: "The LORD [is] a man of war: the LORD [is] his name." Exodus 15:3

Does Satan, man of sin, sit in "the temple of God?" Yes, go read Revelation 2-3

This Original Post came out in 2022. Today, is 18 Feb 2024, many years later.

Bob Thiel and xcog hirelings of the former WCG are still ignorant on the man of sin revealed and still come up with more satanic theories. Shall we hold our breath?

Satan wants people to think he does not exist, and he is very successful at his counterfeit doctrines masquerading as God's doctrines in the world's churches as well as in "churches of god," remains stealth, causes sin (I John 3:8: James 4:5; Eph 2:2), takes religious leaders captive (2 Tim 2:26), causes flesh to wrestle flesh (Eph 6:12), murdered God's Son and is a father of lies (John 8:44), and like Simon Magus desires to be #1, oh, and gets us to believe that the real battle is between humans and God.

Well, is Satan that beast (came against physical Israel with first 6 heads), then became the man of sin (comes against God's Church for about 2,000 years), and after exiting the pit near the end of that short/little time/season as the 7th head of the beast (against physical world's inhabitants) before being killed once?

Did some "falling away" occur during a time when the identity of the man of sin was revealed as Satan? I'm not sure, but if the man of sin some day in the future becomes revealed to be someone other than Satan...

    Time will tell...

    John
