Since Dave Pack and his craziness has been overtaking other COG leaders who occupy space on this blog, its time to turn our attention for a moment to our Illustrious Doubly-blessed Bwana, the Amos, Elijah, Elijah, Habbakuk, Joshua, and Chief Overseer Bob Thiel, of the improperly named "continuing" Church of "god", the greatest living head of any Church of God in the history of Christianity. Never has the church been blessed to have such an accurate dreamer of dreams as we have in Bwana Bob.
As he was sitting in his home on the central coast of California, the great Bwana started channeling visions from his "god" about the end times he sees exploding around him. Today, the Bwana popped a cork over an article by CNN, "Disaster Upon Disaster". This was a wet dream come true for the Bwana. Any time an article feeds into his doom and gloom scenarios he latches onto it like a leech as he tries to suck the blood out of the latest disaster to try and impress us with his latest vanity vomitus.
The Bwana says,
"Disaster Upon Disaster"
In the prophetic book of Ezekiel, God warns today’s Israelite-descended nations of the fate coming upon them because they have rejected Him and His laws: “Disaster will come upon disaster, and rumor will be upon rumor. Then they will seek a vision from a prophet; but the law will perish from the priest, and counsel from the elders” (Ezekiel 7:26).
A recent CNN article echoes the same story: “Disaster Upon Disaster: Wildfires Are Contaminating the West’s Depleting Water with Ashy Sludge” (CNN, May 29, 2022). ...
As time goes on, we see increasing signs of the approaching end of this age—just as the Bible has long foretold.
After being trained at the feet of his spiritual Daddy (Rod Meredith) the Bwana does not have to look far in finding stories to fit the rubrics of backward-looking Armstrongism.
Bwana continues:
"Disaster will come upon disaster" is consistent with Jesus' warnings about "troubles" and the "beginning of sorrows" in Mark 13:8. When I was with LCG it started to teach that the beginning of sorrows had begun, but not specifics related to that or the rides of the horsemen of the Apocalypse.
Don't forget boys and girls, Rod Meredith and the LCG were too stupid to understand prophecy and only Bwana Bob has the right interpretations.
Bwana Bob was so sure of his predictions that he even did one of his crazy programs on the subject. Hilarity ensues, as usual. Prophecy watchers apparently are missing all the sure signs that he and he alone understands. I can hear the jackasses braying in the field at this one.
These Signs of the 4 Horsemen Have Begun
Are we at the time of the ride of at least some of the four horsemen of the Apocalypse? If so, are many prophecy watchers missing signs associated with them? History shows that authoritarian totalitarian regimes tend to arise after famines and/or pestilences. Those are events associated with three of the four horsemen of the Apocalypse. Could the beginning of sorrows, and the associated ride of the first horseman of false ecumenical religion, have started in the Fall of 2009? What is the significance of this rider having a bow? Is Satan the prince of the power of the air? Did Dr. Thiel warn of a prophetic threat of a “novel” coronavirus back in 2013? Could COVID-19 been related to the taking away the peace from the earth that is associated with the ride of the red horse, the second horsemen of war? What are some of the ramifications of the Russia-Ukraine military conflict and the opening of the second seal? Was Amos inspired to write that God does nothing without revealing it to his servants the prophets? Who warned of these matters? The ride of the third horse, the black horse of famine and food price inflation–specifically wheat, barley, edible oils, and wine. Since Ukraine is a major exporter of the first three, could this, as well as fertilizer shortages, have anything to do with the ride of that horseman? The pale horse of the fourth seal mentions one-quarter of humankind being subject to being killed by the sword, hunger, and pestilence–will this be a factor in the rise of the Beast of Revelation 13? Is persecution associated with the start of the Great tribulation and the rise of the Beast? Why is the Beast going to be in charge of a European-based empire? Will the opening of the first four seals and the starts of the rides of the four horsemen of the Apocalypse get Europe to reorganize such as is prophesied in Revelation 17:12-13? What does Jesus say you should do? Dr. Thiel addresses these matters and more in this video.
As usual, Bwana Bob bounces all over the screen, both literally and figuratively. Is his ADD rattled brain capable of a singular thought?
50+ Laodicean Prophetic Errors
While many seem to believe that all the Churches of God are the same, this is not so. In the end time, most true Christians are Laodicean and not Philadelphian. In this sermon, Dr. Thiel mentions over 50 prophetic errors that Laodiceans, independents, and some of the remnant of Sardis have held to. Dr. Thiel also mentions scriptures that Laodiceans and other non-Philadelphians miss. Dr. Thiel sites scriptures such as Zephaniah 2 related to gathering together before it is time to flee. He also mentions that Jesus only promised to protect the Philadelphians from the coming ‘hour of trial.’ Furthermore, Dr. Thiel mentions that unless they change, Laodiceans will not know when the Great Tribulation will begin until after it is started, and hence too late for them to flee prior to its beginning.
I am humbled to be in the same state as our Great Bwana. I am so impressed I may start going back to church so that can be on the first plane to go to Petra so I can get the best cave before other COG's show up! What a great time to be alive to witness his perfect prophetic predictions! Read em and weep, Davey!
Because the great Bwanijuana does not allow open comments, it would be interesting to see what comes in to him the form of the emails he keeps private. One wonders if they are mostly ridiculing him, or if some actually take him seriously and are complimentary. Something keeps him going in spite of all the ridicule. It is obvious that he reads here quite intently. I've seen him play on comments and ideas brought up here by myself and others.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, for most of my lifetime, the spiritual leaders my parents unfortunately selected have been associating current events with the four horsemen. Nothing new there. Currently, there's a rash of bad stuff going on. As long as Thiel is (mis)guided by the theories of Herbert W. Armstrong, he's not going to understand or get things right. A copycat of a failure is not going to mystically and mysteriously become the one who nails it, when time after time everyone else who got it from the same source fails it. It's too bad that Bummer Bob is incapable of starting with a fresh sheet. Let it all go, and start over again without preconceptions or prejudices. That beats the heck out of repeating the same ol' same ol' just a little bit louder than last time.
Four Horsemen ... How many horses does Dave have?
ReplyDeleteDo you remember those ads on tv in the 80's, "This is your brain (picture normal brain); this is your brain on drugs (picture of an egg frying in a searing hot pan). That's the doubly blessed brain of our littlest prophlet of all sizzling away in a red hot frying pan, sputtering all over the place and burning our eyeballs and his members souls. The scars are visible on some and invisible on others, and the doubly blessed one comes along and rips the scab off again.
ReplyDeleteWhy oh why, I ask again, is Jesus never enough for these fools? Christ and Christ alone is a Christian's place of safety, not some hell hole in Jordan or any other literal earthly place. This whole false theology is condemnation in this life only for it to continue forever into eternity. Talk about out of the frying pan, into the fire!!
Oh you foolish Galatians. When will the veil of Moses be lifted? Fat lot of good that double portion did for the prophlet or his suffering members. We have ALREADY BEEN delivered from the wrath to come. We have ALREADY passed from death into life. The believer will never be judged. But you will, Bob. Deliver us from these false prophets and their lies and scripture twisting once and for all.
Bob wants so desperately to NOT be irrelevant.
ReplyDeleteHow sad he will be when, on his deathbed (in California, not at the Place of Safety) he realizes that he wasted his life because he couldn't admit that Herbert Armstrong fooled him.
Bob, I know you want to believe that you are one of the most important people on the earth. But you're just one of dozens of tiny splinter cults within Armstrongism. If you want to be big and important and get a worldwide audience, you could be for the ACOG movement what Steven Hassan has become for ex-Moonies. Instead of being just 1 of dozens of people who want to hold on to dying embers of failed Armstrongism, you could be the most noted expert in the whole world about how Armstrongism ruins people. But remember, Bob, the advantage goes to the first mover. If Gerald Flurry, or Gerald Weston, or Vic Kubik is the first to contact the media and repent of his ACOG leadership role, you'll be stuck having to run your little cult until the day you die.
It is astounding to me that after all this time, and Bob MUST know that his presentations, both in the setting and in the delivery leave much to be desired, and yet it persists. That he has yet to fathom the ridiculous look of his background curtains and the ever flailing and non-stop gestures is telling. Dave Pack has a multi-million dollar TV studio he no longer uses and Bob has a $29.95 set up that he uses too much. f
ReplyDeleteI think Aron Ra's refuting Dave's "Irrefutable Proof of God" and creationism non-sense, spooked him. Well, and that the Christ Creature of Dave's imagination was returning again and again by the end of every week or on every next Holyday, the math still being correct. There is that and soaking the RCG member in Dave's brainwash week after week for years now was the priority.

In any case, "Soon", "Shortly", "Of thing that must shortly come to pass" and "Behold I come quickly" is the ever-present carrot that still draws the sincere and the gullible into the pit of false hope and the fake salesmen of the gods too weak to speak up for themselves.
I was working a freelance job the other day where someone wanted to give a presentation on camera. I set everything up, lit the shot, made it all pretty... and the would-be presenter could not stop talking with his hands.
DeleteI ended up ziptying them to his belt, lol.
Good idea!
DeleteOne of the funniest was a client who had a guest joining him via Skype. Easy job, but the guest decided to be creative since the interview was taking place in the evening... and rearranged his room so his desk was in front of a west-facing window. He thought the setting sun behind him would be a good look. Problem is, he had absolutely no lighting in front of him. He appeared as a silhouette.
DeleteExplaining to this indivdual that his "inspired" setup wouldmt work was an experience.
I know Dennis-the curtains are actually not curtains! They are the flatsheets from a set of bed linens. My sister had the identical set 2 decades ago. Hated them then and even more now.
ReplyDeleteAnd the water thing drives me insane too. I get that when you speak for as long as the doubly blessed prophlet does, your mouth can get dry, but can he not, at the very least, say pardon me. Better still, does he know how to hit the pause button on the camera so we don't have to watch our doubly blessed camel partake of his holy water?
He couldnt be bothered to add a bumper or edit those water breaks out? Geez. Bob, you're lazy.
DeleteTHIEL WRITES: "Laodiceans will not know when the Great Tribulation will begin until after it is started, and hence too late for them to flee prior to its beginning."
ReplyDeleteMY COMMENT:
Didnt angels come for Lot and his family? Dont worry Boob , I will not resist the urging of an Angel, and "you aint no angel, you aint no prophet, and you aint any friend or patron of mine"
RSK, upon reading your comment, what immediately occurred to me is that if you were freelancing for Bummer Bob, you'd not only need to zip tie his hands, you'd also have to super glue his lips!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't know about Laodiceans, but anyone with any brains at all can tell that the tribulation began in 2017 when Donald Trump took office as president. That's when the divisiveness transitioned from theory or philosophy to rock-hard, adamant sides, each side now prepared for out and out war at any costs, truth be damned. I thought the Constitution and Bill of Rights' checks and balances would protect us, but he found ways to usurp those "minor irritants". We'll know for sure about the tribulation if he somehow manages to become POTUS 47, and complete the Nazification of America.
ReplyDeleteVery ignorant comment. I know the right is evil and the left is so wonderful in your eyes. So ignorant
DeleteHe did recycle his "Tkach Sr said the Cathedra Petri is the throne of Satan" article recently. I never have quite understood why he thinks that's so interesting. Even if it did happen (debatable, Bob was not a witness, he heard it secondhand at best), his reinterpretation of the work's elements to fit the bill doesnt make a lot of sense to me.
ReplyDeleteAnyone with any brains at all can tell that the tribulation began in 2008 when Barak Hussien Obama took office as president. That's when the divisiveness transitioned from theory or philosophy to rock-hard practice of turning federal agencies such as the FBI into his own Schutzstaffel, prepared for all- out war at any costs, truth be damned. It goes on today as leftists guilty of all manner of crimes from obstruction to insurrection go free while center-right people are handcuffed, shackled and jailed for minimal offenses. You may have thought the Constitution and Bill of Rights' checks and balances would protect us, but Obama found ways to usurp those "minor irritants". "I have a pen and a phone" so who needs Congress. We'll know for sure about the tribulation if democrats manage to hang on to power via their "best election fraud" operations, and complete the Nazification of America.
ReplyDeleteInteresting. If you do an internet search for "Cathedra Petri", the first video listed is Bob Thiel's. He must be gloating today, assuming he allows himself to check the internet on the sabbath.
ReplyDeletewhen Barak Hussien Obama took office as president. That's when the divisiveness transitioned from theory or philosophy to rock-hard practice of turning federal agencies such as the FBI into his own Schutzstaffel
ReplyDeleteI wonder whether this poster is equally upset that Richard Nixon did exactly the same? Or is it OK when an Israelite does the persecuting, but NOT OK when a Gentile does the persecuting?
Don't know where you are coming from on that, 2:54. The Obama presidency was a relatively peaceful and tranquil period in American history. There were those who thought he would be such a radical, but he really surprised everyone by governing from just left of center. He was a globalist who tried to keep us on a par with our allies in Europe, Canada, and Mexico. The people who took umbrage with him were the white nationalists who were so incensed that a black president could be so good that the American voters would give him the honor of two terms that they attempted to take direct opposite positions simply to undo his policies whether they had produced good results or bad. As a result, we lost four years that could have been really productive in combatting global climate change, and with the Colorado River basin (and reservoirs) drying up, we're now picking up the tab for Trump's foolishness. Trump embraced the militias and worked to undo all of the good that Black Lives Matter had accomplished. When the American people revolted and kicked him out of office, he staged an insurrection and started the big lie, a lie that was refuted in many recounts and dozens of lawsuits presided over by his own Republican people.
ReplyDeleteMajor corporations have better sense and flaunted the fact that they did not go along with Trump's policies. It started with the car companies wanting to stick with common sense international environmental standards rather than go with his weakened emission standards. The major corporations also insisted on sticking with their enlightened social policies, and are even now being threatened and coerced by Neanderthals like de Santis.
But, you are entitled to your opinions. Just be prepared for an authoritarian Trump presidency in 2024, and I hope you won't be one of those rounded up for the camps. By the way, I'm a conservative from the pre-Trump mold, when the Republican party still represented the people and principles rather than swearing allegiance to one demented demagogue. I applaud Liz Cheney for her tireless efforts to set things right
Its something the conservative commentators were claiming at the time - "Obaaaaaama has divided our country!"
DeleteIt was a weird phenomenon as they seemed to have slept through the previous decade or two, but be that as it may.
For the record, some prophecies I've noticed fulfilled:
ReplyDelete1. One third of life in the seas has died due to the Fukushima radiation.
2. Wormwood means Chernobyl in Russian.
3. King Of The South attacked on 9/11, then the Arab Spring.
4. The power of the east is now pushing westward. Locusts with fire in their tails. 200,000 against a land of unwalled villages.
"Anyone with any brains at all can tell that the tribulation began in 2008 when Barak Hussien Obama took office as president."
ReplyDeleteGood grief, this has to be the dumbest thing I have read here in a while. No tribulation started in 2008 with a Black President.
Some really ignorant posts on here. You guys are just as crazy as the cogs you love to demonize
DeleteCant totally disagree with you. The old "'X is going to put us in camps" story has been around at least since Bill Clinton. Along with "theyre gonna take our guns", "he's gonna declare marshall (sic) law", and "gonna ban the bible".
DeleteMax, it isn't only Fukushima that destroyed sea life. The oceans have been overfished by "factory" ships. The huge garbage gyres in the middle of all the world's major oceans are choking sea life with their plastics and medical waste, and the ocean temperatures are rising, removing the ranges of constants required by certain species. Food, such as cuttle fish, for some species, has all but disappeared forcing fish to find alternatives which do not support health, growth or ability to procreate. Even if we ignore the effects of climate change, the oceans are dying, courtesy of mankind. This also affects weather patterns and cycles. As go the oceans, so goes the planet! For some with vested interest in the status quo, this becomes yet another thing to ignore or deny. It's something the ACOGs should be screaming from the housetops about, but they are too busy being non-voting Republicans.
ReplyDeletePresident Obama saved our asses from the great recession of 2006! He primed the pumps, and kept everyone calm. There could have been incredible social unrest had we had a divisive agitator as president.
ReplyDeleteHmm, no one addressed the points made by Saturday, June 4, 2022 at 2:54:00 PM PDT, namely the weaponization of the FBI, IRS etc. Those who replied changed the subject. Well trained in the COGs I guess. This is what they do when the facts are not on their side.
ReplyDeleteIf you want to learn more about the weaponization of the FBI, read Eldridge Cleaver's opus, "Soul on Ice". The Black Power movement was infiltrated and destroyed by he FBI pretty much with the blessing of mainstream America.
ReplyDeleteYou have to be careful when examining the labels people use to describe themselves. There are people today who call themselves as "conservative", and you might be tempted to say "Ah! That's good!" not realizing that they are "hard right" lunatic fringe types who are pressing for authoritarian government, international isolationism, and harboring fantasies of ethnic cleansing. The John Bircher types about whom we used to chuckle as being way out fringers have gained traction and political power. They are no longer a joke, and actually present possibly the greatest threat to democracy we've ever witnessed in our lifetimes. Hopefully the January 6 hearings will wake up the average Joe on the street to the danger, but I seriously doubt it. I believe people will continue to see them as saviors until they have consolidated their power, at which time it will be too late.
