LCG Friday Night Smackdown: LCG members need to strive to stop being instruments of Satan

First, we had Gerald Weston talking about how powerful his adversary is and now we have Doug Winnail doing his Friday Night Smackdown of LCG members and this same adversary. Apparently, LCG members are letting rumors, lies, false doctrines, and divisive ideas lead them straight into Satan's clutches. Their reprobate minds then lead them to thwart the plan of God so that his kingdom can't come when he had originally planned it.  Pretty heavy burdens to place upon LCG members' shoulders!

As usual, it is all LCG members' fault because they are so inept in stopping the crafty wiles of Satan from influencing them. Jesus might be able to help them if they only knew about him. Plus, their inability to resist Satan's influence has thwarted the Kingdom of God from happening sooner than needed and has delayed the return of Christ, again.

Satan’s Devices: God raised up His Church to preach the Gospel of the Kingdom of God (Mark 16:15), to warn the world of a coming judgment (Matthew 24), and to prepare a people to reign with Jesus Christ (Luke 1:17). Satan has tried to thwart this mission down through history. He inspired misguided individuals to physically attack and murder Jesus, go after His disciples, and cause division and spread vicious rumors and false doctrines to disrupt the Work of the early Church (1 Corinthians 1:10–13; 2 Corinthians 11:26; Galatians 1:6–9; 2 Timothy 4:14). Satan’s goal has not changed. The Bible reveals that we are in a spiritual war with a cunning adversary (Ephesians 6:10–20), who is still using the same devices today (2 Corinthians 2:11)—physical attacks, rumors, lies, false doctrines, divisive ideas, and doing whatever seems right in one’s own eyes (Judges 21:25). All this leads to confusion that distracts us from our mission and disrupts the Work of God. This is why the Apostle Paul urged the early Church to be of “the same mind and... the same judgment” (1 Corinthians 1:10) and to “hold the traditions which you were taught” (2 Thessalonians 2:15). Peter also warned that we must be able to recognize and resist the efforts of Satan to thwart the plan of God with his divisive schemes (1 Peter 5:8–9). We must all strive to avoid being instruments in Satan’s hands if we want to be in the coming Kingdom of God.
Have a profitable Sabbath, Douglas S. Winnail

  1. LCG tithewarriors are indeed prolonging world suffering by holding up the greatest event since the first advent.

Their slackening off of robust tithe (all 3) contributions + big holyday offerings + Common (sell your home give us the money because the two 19-year-time-cycles are just about up meaning Jesus' return is imminent providing that you don't slack off money-flow to the unaccountable leaders who are setting the Kingly example for you by living in Mansions now to show you paupers how good the Kingdom will be...)

  2. As an LCG member, I actually appreciate these articles on the continued powerfulness of Satan in the church. We hear an endless stream of this Satan stuff with every damn sermon and article! Give it a rest guys. Start preaching about Christ more and our security in him instead of trembling at the feet of Satan every day.

Is it possible that Weston and Winnail have guilty consciences, aware of how they are constantly violating both the Old and New Covenant teachings? If they know that their own satanic conduct is preparing them for the Lake of Fire, their message of warning others makes sense, as they are incapable of preaching the truth about Jesus' power over Satan.

  4. Just a refresher course (?): An angel is going to put the devil in his pit - Rev 20. There's an angel that is more powerful than Satan. God is going to rule forever - Dan 2:44 including the 1000 years and after when Satan is released for a short while. To those who cannot believe Satan will be released while God the Father and Jesus Christ are ruling this planet: why not? They and at least one angel are more powerful than Satan.

  5. What happened to looking forward, putting things in the past. Being positive?

And speaking of the past, they never understand how Worldwide ended, they can never figure it out. They are always perplexed about it. All that sabbath keeping, all those tithes, all those feast keeping, all those prophetic preaching.

See if you don't have love, you got nothing!

  7. Winnail mentions "rumours" in his critique. When is a rumour a fact and not fiction? Like the one where he divorced his wife who then took another man, and then brought her back for a second go-around?

How do we know he didn't commit adultery here? Because his cronies said so?

    Not good enough.

    Just like church standards today.

  8. Doug shared these "profitable" words: "...we must be able to recognize and resist the efforts of Satan to thwart the plan of God with his divisive schemes (1 Peter 5:8–9). We must all strive to avoid being instruments in Satan’s hands if we want to be in the coming Kingdom of God..."

Are those the words Doug, former helper of HWA of former WCG, entertained in his mind before he fled Pasadena, and then shortly attended with the United Ass.? Did Doug "succeed?"

Satan is not going to thwart God's Plan to save all humanity (Matt 25:34) and subsequently destroy Satan and his angels (Matt 25:41, 46)!

If anything, Satan has been successful at scattering (John 10:12-13) Doug and numerous other former WCG hirelings and left them all seemingly stagnant, and still in a scattered condition and still in confusion, because God does not author confusion by working with them.

So, how would Doug explain how he was not an instrument in Satan's hands? How well is Doug, acting more like a babe still feasting on spiritual milk, discerning good from evil?

Doug says his Jesus was to return "very soon" to reign on earth 1,000 years; where is He? What did the real, Biblical, Jesus tell you?

Doug says we must meet various requirements to qualify for salvation so we "...will be in the coming Kingdom of God." Who needs grace? mercy? Might Doug be a pawn of Satan and be preaching things, via Fear Religion, similar to others (Pharisees, hypocrites) that Jesus spoke about years ago?

"But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in." Matthew 23:30

Doug believes that his Jesus is the "God of the Old Testament," but that belongs to God the Father (Acts 3:13); The Father is that God of Abraham...Isaac...Jacob!

Is Doug preaching evil? Doug perhaps needs to stop being a babe, learn to discern good from evil of his words, and hate evil:

Ps 97:10 Ye that love the LORD, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.

Pr 8:13 The fear of the LORD [is] to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.

When will Doug learn to hate evil as those two verses say? Oh, that requires some Love. Oh, that requires some fear, but not Fear Religion!

When will Doug demonstrate that "fear of the LORD," and love the LORD, in his life first, then perhaps Doug will be able to explain how one is to "hate evil?" That's going to require some grace, but will Doug learn anymore between now and his next Friday night SmackDown of others?

    Time will tell...

    John
