The obsession with anything not Hebrew Holy in the WCG and its daughters is ridiculous, alienates children and when they grow up, they will have incredible anger and regret over such an upbringing and will ensure their own children are not subjected to such foolish avoidance of the completely harmless. The thought, "I can't believe I was so compliant, naive and stupid" will come for a visit.

If we're going to tear down statues of U.S. leaders who "sinned" in the past (e.g. slaveholders), why keep a day with an even more sordid past?
The whole bible is totally pagan. Mary was the name of the top Egyptian goddess (also called Isis) 4500 years ago. Their empire collapsed when morons from all around flooded the place because it was successful, but their goddess lives on.

Doesn't sound like that one really knows Egyptian history, but they're so often the basis for wild theories that I shouldn't be surprised at all.
