New Church of God Group: Only Armstrong - - 24 Hours a Day, 7 days A week, 365 Days A Year

The website is not up yet, but their magazine is...Upholding the Plain Truth

If you thought the idolatry of Herbert W Armstrong by Bob Thiel and Gerald Flurry was appalling, this new site takes it to the extreme. It's like entering the Armstrong Twilight Zone!

  1. I'm sure this group are ex-members of other COGs. Any idea who the founders are?

  2. Thanks for the advertisement of this new magazine. The article's are very well written.

  3. Why does their logo have the (added later by Calif law) earthquake-bracing-pole on the fountain sculpture? I always thought that ruined the original art-piece! They should airbrush it out!

  4. Hard to believe. I read a little of the text provided and found myself getting groggy with sleep. The text is full of discredited platitudes. All these ideas are covered by other organizations. Another Armstrongist start-up by people who want to turn a buck. Really just a cliché.

  6. Will that website have links to the Ambassador Report, Banned, and the "Tangled Web" as well ???

Can those links collectively be called "Dysfunctional Armstrong 24 Hours a Day, 7 Days a Week, 365 Days a Year"??

With that title , does that mean there is a break once every four years from "Only Armstrong" on leap years on Feb. 29th??

  7. Where did they take their idea from for their logo,... Star Trek communicator badges??

  8. The article mentions the "constant development of that holy, righteous character, thus qualifying them to sit with Christ on the throne of earth."

But HWA ran a tyrannical cult, which by definition robbed its members of the responsibilities needed to fully grow as a Christian. Growth was only permitted along certain narrow corridors. He also warned against "pulling yourself up by your boot straps" which is a direct attack on character development. So again it's only limited growth that's allowed, and God forbid that any member out grows a minister.
Since when would any devout Christian put such a morally compromised man on a pedestal?

  9. Most of these groups are worshipping Armstrong already. I left one that literally bows to him. Hardly any of these people in these groups read their Bibles anymore. We are told repeatedly not to follow men, but Christ. What do we do? Follow men.

  10. Ah yes! The sad story of yet another remora who aspires to actually become a shark! Good luck with that. Being a remora is genetic, it's not something from which desire or rituals can elevate you. You can't even be a fish-to-shark tranny! Go back to what you were doing before your ego attack, and be successful at that!

  11. There was once a Cal Culpepper in the PCG, as the following PCG link confirms:

    He was a minister.

  12. More PCG Culpeppers are mentioned here. Students of their college. Girls.

  13. The design reminds me of occult symbols.

  14. Their growth development is in Satan's lanes.

  15. Armstrongism promotes a gospel of works like the Muslims and Jews hoping the scale will tip in their favor. Jesus said, "It is finished." The veil was torn starting at the top. Jesus gave us access to the Holy of Holies being our high priest. He gave us His power & authority. Use it now. You don't earn it as a gospel of works like Armstrongism promotes. We are called to "Be Holy as He is Holy" which means we can each personally invite Him in and live it out. Jesus is not afraid inside of us, so we are not afraid. We would recognize anyone promoting fear as not of Him since He is above everything.

  16. So, what's the name of their so-called "Church"? And how many have they suckered in already?

  17. "Only Armstrong" -- what about having Jesus Christ as our only Saviour?
