LCG Members Who Refuse To Be Teachable Will NOT Be Gods And Reign With Christ

It's time again for the weekly smackdown of LCG members. This item they are not being as teachable as they should be. Some of them do not allow the most amazing ministers the church has ever seen to teach them. After all, the LCG ministry knows best and has the answer to everything. If they are not up to it then Bwana Bob Mzungu will step up and educate them.

Are You Teachable? The Scriptures reveal that one of the important qualities that God is looking for in Christians and future leaders in His Kingdom is teachability, the desire and willingness to listen and learn. Abraham was teachable and responsive to God’s instructions (Genesis 12:1–4). Moses was a very capable leader, yet he was also humble and teachable (Numbers 12:3). David’s attitude comes through in Psalm 119:33 when he wrote, “Teach me, O Lord, the way of Your statutes.” Solomon recognized his human inadequacies when he asked God for wisdom and an “understanding heart” so he could learn to rule God’s people wisely (1 Kings 3:9). When Jesus said the meek and the poor in spirit will be blessed, He was emphasizing their teachability and willingness to learn and grow (Matthew 5:3–5). The Scriptures make it plain that when we harden our hearts to God’s instruction, we will reap serious consequences (Proverbs 28:14). We have been called to reign with Jesus Christ in the Kingdom of God and being teachable is one of the keys to attaining that reward. Let’s continue to strive to develop that most important quality.
Have a profitable Sabbath,
Douglas S. Winnail

  1. LCG members are apparently not very teachable, as Dr. Winnail's comments are almost identical (just a few small word changes that he probably thinks are defeating search engines) to comments he published on May 9, 2019, March 23, 2017, July 12, 2012, February 4, 2011, and January 24, 2008. Probably a couple more times that I missed.

Even new LCG members find within a couple of years that the sermons and other messages become repetitive, so you can imagine how dead your mind must have to be to put up with that for decades. LCG members may or may not be very teachable, but they sure are very cheatable!

  2. Dr. Winnail: There's no tithing law before Moses. The 14th is the first day of unleavened bread - Eze 45:21. Are you teachable?

  4. How many damn times has he made this post? Doug, you pride yourself on your superior intellect. Can you please stop copying and pasting your old post?

  5. If the ministers are teachable, shouldn't there be a stream of new material that expands God's way? While I attended services, many members were social barbarians. yet I never heard sermons on human relationships, other than some odd comment.
These ACOGs don't teach anything new, and the dissident sites of other denominations make the same complaint. It's obviously a business strategy of keeping the sheep dumbed down and ignorant.

  6. I'd like to see the ministers answers to that question.

  7. On the other side of the coin, LCG ministers who refuse to be teachable definitely will be Gods and reign with Christ.

  8. In the Plain Truth magazine of April, 1962, Roderick Meredith wrote in reference to Ambassador College:

"From the beginning, students here have been encouraged to think inde pendently on any and every subject. But they are taught to look for the real TRUTH."

I never encountered that spirit of critical thinking either at Ambassador College or in the Pews of the WCG. It makes one wonder what this Millerite preacher in the post means by "teachability." HWA compared modern education to "memorization" in the MOA. It is ironic that the education proffered in the Armstrongist realm can be best characterized as non-critical memeorization of dogma.

If you want to take the measure of education in Armstrongism, no need to leave it at the theoretical level. Try this experiment. Take a question that seriously challenges Armstrongist practice or doctrine to your Armstrongist minister and see what happens. Not an easy superficial question like those generated by the shilling that occurs at Bible Studies. But a real question.

I did one time do this and quickly understood it was a valueless exercise. I had a WCG minister standing toe-to-toe with me after services shouting in my face. He was red-faced, angry and loud. And my question was not all that complex. What triggered it was that I said to me, "I agree." He did not see me as having a right to agree or disagree. I was simply supposed to say, "Yes Sir". And he was trained at AC where independent thinking is prized - according to RCM.

Doug means "I am the teacher, you are the taught." Doug's marital situation demonstrates that he doesn't care to be taught by the Bible, nor to be taught by peers, friends, and family members who urged him not to remarry his ex-wife, the woman who left him to marry another man, whom she then divorced. If LCG wants to teach real teachability, Doug isn't the right man to do it.

  10. Dr. Winnail: Eze 45:21 - this verse also says eating unleavened bread for seven days is the way of observing Passover! Or observing Passover by eating unleavened bread for seven days!

"‘In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, ye shall have the Passover, a feast of seven days. Unleavened bread shall be eaten."

    There, fixed it.

  12. So what about PCG members, or CGI members, UCG members, RCG members, what about ZCG members, TCG members, QCG members, HCG members... I'm glad I don't have to be around Dougie for a week. Thank the heavens.

If Doug Winnail has learned nothing else from HWA of the former WCG, which Doug fled from while leaving his ministerial credentials behind in Pasadena, it was "repetition is the best form of emphasis."

Grow in knowledge of Jesus Christ? Forget it. Doug, snared by another spirit (2 Tim 2:26) is still stuck with another Jesus, very soon to return to reward Doug with rulership on earth for 1,000 years with his Jesus, and then fail, because Satan exits the pit and takes over Jerusalem and again messes up the world. A lot of "good news," another gospel, from Doug?

Time will tell, as Doug can do nothing more than repeat himSELF.

When will Doug be teachable enough to finally learn his Mickey Mouse kingdom (with Doug and his little "helpers" very soon reigning on earth 1,000 years) was a deception, a counterfeit, and that God's kingdom will not be established on earth until several years after Satan exits that pit?

    Time will tell...

    John
