Those wild and crazy guys in Charlotte must spend hours a week investigating all they can find on Germany. In spite of all the embarrassing things their dead former leader spouted about Germany, todays leadership continue to double down on the fear laden messages of the past. Everything from Hitler being alive in South America to Germans building concentration camps in the United States in order to hang people up on meathooks before they are burned alive in ovens to the mass shipping off the teens of Americans to Europe to be their slaves. This could only happen as long as their parents had not already eaten them due to starvation. LCG and the COG so much need to see this happen in order to be proven right in their teachings. They need to see America and the rest of the so-called "Israelitish" nations punished for refusing to heed their message.
On February 2, they sent out their weekly blast called TW (Tomorrow's World) News and Prophecy email. It included two fear-laden blurbs on Europe and Germany. LCG members need to start trembling in fear over the rising up of the Beast power in Europe. Unfortunately, the Church of God has been tooting that horn for decades, even inviting the man they just knew was going to be the Beast to come and speak at Ambassador College. Franz Joseph Strauss is dead and gone. Herbert Armstrong's dead and gone. Rod Meredith is dead and gone. Gerald Waterhouse is dead and gone. Yet here we are, the same worn-out pathetic message they've been harping on for decades. Will they continue down this route when Gerald Weston and Richard Ames are dead and gone?
Will the 2024 Elections Change the World?
The 2024 calendar year will see a record number of national and parliamentary elections, with nearly half the world’s population, 3.8 billion people, theoretically going to the polls to vote for new leaders (January 1, 2024). As Nicholas Vinocur notes in an article for Politico, “Indeed, from the United States to the U.K. and European Union, from India to Mexico, and from Taiwan to Indonesia, some of the world’s most strategically important countries will hold elections this year.”
Many analysts fear that the results of this year’s elections could shift the world away from democracy and toward more authoritarianism. Dictators will likely remain and Europe could see a hard-right shift. While far-right candidates in the EU may not have enough support to take many high-level positions, their growing numbers will affect Europe’s laws and decisions. Many fear new leaders will reduce the power of the courts and silence the independent press. As a Georgetown University professor lamented in the Politico article, “Democracy is being challenged everywhere—not just in places that rank poorly on surveys of democratic values, but also in established democracies like the United States and the European Union.” A professor of EU law at HEC Business School in France observed, “This could be the year when we see the breakdown of the rules-based order.”
The book of Revelation describes the future rise of a European dictator known as “the beast,” who will eventually lead a configuration of ten nations or leaders in Europe just prior to the return of Jesus Christ. This coming “beast” will be backed by a powerful religious leader, “the false prophet”—an individual the Apostle Paul says “opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God” (2 Thessalonians 2:4). The 2024 elections could be a prelude to significant changes in global politics that may help to set the stage for such dramatic events. The wise will be watching.
And then in the next blurb they had this:
Europe Pushed to Stand Alone
Western Europe and America have been allies in two world wars, the Persian Gulf crises, and many other conflicts. However, the winds of change are blowing, and the possibility of a second Trump presidency has European leaders facing a new reality—that Europe’s future defense may be up to Europeans alone (Politico, January 16, 2024)!
The United States has been Europe’s “security blanket” since at least World War II. American nuclear weapons, tanks and aircraft, and over 100,000 American troops on Europe’s soil have given comfort to many European leaders. But with America’s waning support and a larger war looming in Europe, EU leaders are pushing to rapidly re-arm and increase their own nuclear capabilities. German European People’s Party leader Manfred Weber warned, “Europe must build deterrence, we must be able to deter and defend ourselves…. We all know that when push comes to shove, the nuclear option is the really decisive one” (Politico, January 25, 2024). “Germany's military has sketched out an ‘exercise scenario’ for its planners to contemplate. It envisions a Russian attack into the Suwalki Gap between Poland and Lithuania in the period between this year’s U.S. presidential election and early 2025” (Politico, January 24, 2024). The German defense minister recently warned that German experts expect Russia could attack a NATO member in the next five to eight years. Another observer noted, “As the history of the 20th century has shown, [European] democracies may be slow to turn to a war footing, but once they do, they’re difficult to match.”
Bible prophecy indicates that Germany will lead a powerful European configuration of nations at the end of the age. External threats and fading support from America may prod Germany to act.
War is looming on the horizon. Germany is rising. Armstrongists tremble in fear.
Never do you see LCG or the improperly named "continuing" Church of "god" ever talk about the good things coming out of Germany.
Some recent headlines Armstrongists quickly ignore:
Germany's Scholz 'ashamed' at antisemitism wave as 'Kristallnacht' pogrom marked
the Apostle Paul says “opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God” (2 Thessalonians 2:4).
ReplyDeleteThe ACOG ministers have a black belt in exalting themselves above their members and showing themselves as God. Harsh criticisms, narcissist devaluation of members is a favorite. Others are "there's no righteous, no not one," ie, members are dirt and deserve to be treated like dirt, and "we have found the enemy and it's us," ie, members are dirt and deserve to be treated like dirt." And be sure to call your minister "Mr."
Whatever dear friend in Jesus, remember, do not deny HIM in your hour of temptation. Give all for HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS & GLORY!
DeleteDo they know that there are 20 to 40 (or more) United States military bases within the country of Germany. Including 35,000 US troops stationed there.
ReplyDeletehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0auwmTR9Z9I
A lot has to happen if and when the "boogie-man country" comes. Those US bases would have to cease. But they know everything and are never wrong.
All the national elections this year - yet the German Chancellor will have to call a special one to join that list.
ReplyDeleteA Google check says Germany's deadline for the next one is 10/26/25.
Germany may be a leading force in the future of Western Europe. Western Europe might even become united militarily, not by treaty, but by actually having an integrated army. This is plausible.
ReplyDeleteGermany might even appear on the world scene suddenly in the spirit of ancient Assyria. What will never happen is Germany becoming a world power because they are descendants of ancient Assyrians. They are not. Any such idea is sheer malarkey.

Is there any such thing as "Warm, fuzzy feelings" in an ACOG???
ReplyDeleteWell thousands of decent German people marching against the rise of the far right in German politics was on main stream news recently....
ReplyDeleteI was just watching Jake Sullivan, National Security Adviser, on CNN. I believe his words are governed by a philosphy of political realism. The historical records seems to say that political realism doesn't work very well. My opinion is that it works better in reactive mode rather than proactive mode. Things happen and political realism may govern the reaction to these events fairly well. But political realism does not have any real predictive value.
ReplyDeleteThe reason why is offered by the Bible. The NT states that this world is yet influenced by Thrones, Principalities and Powers even though they were overthrown by Jesus. The OT states that angelic beings are assigned to the governance of each of Seventy Nations on earth. I have read many explanations about why Germany did what it did in WW2. None are really fully convincing. Also, it is difficult to understand why The Donald has the traction in American Society that he has. In short, political reality is manipulated by the spirit realm. That's the Bible assertion. And this manipulation leaves us saying over and over again, "Why did that happen?"
Nobody can predict based on political realism what Germany is going to do in the future. Today's German reality may not be tomorrow's. There are forces involved that are invisible to us. Nowhere in the Bible is there a mention of Germany. The idea that Germany is Assyria biologically is sheer nonsense. The Germans genetically resemble their Western European neighbor nations. From north to south, the Western Europeans are a mix of three groups: Steppe Pastoralists, Ancient Agriculturalists and Ancient Hunter Gatherers. This corresponds to haplogroups R, G and I. The diffentiation between Western European groups is caused by varying proportions of R, G and I. Big story, little time.

Of all HWA's failed prophecies, I don't see how the ACOG's continue to shovel this failed theory out there.
ReplyDeleteI agree wholeheartedly Scout,
ReplyDeleteit’s why Armstrongism prophecies have failed from time to time because they are lookin “SOLELY” on the physical realm (physical descendant doctrine) and they can’t even get that correct due to DNA evidence that we have now.
I’m reminded of Christ referring to the temple being spiritual when the adversaries were thinking He was referring the physical temple., but He was referring to His body (Matt. 27:40). Paul continued in that approach.
Or referring to certain locations such as Jerusalem as spiritually called Sodom or Egypt (Revelation 11:8).
Some of them know that there is a physical and spiritual Got & Magog (Ezek. & Rev.), but they seem to have an Old Covenant approach to understanding prophecy. But correct, we don’t see everything or know everything. And yes, Germany may end up being a spiritual representation of ancient assyria, but it can't possibly be the physical.
But they act as though they have figured it all out. They couldn’t even predict or watch out how their previous association (Worldwide) would implode. Seems like they need to worry about their own house.
HWA was afflicted by spiritual premature ejaculation during World War II when he preached that Germany would win World War II and the tribulation would begin, culminating in the return of Jesus Christ. The funny thing is, the Olivet Discourse, or prophecy had not even begun to be fulfilled by the rebirth of Israel as a nation as he was preaching that.
ReplyDeleteHe revised his prophecy mold to incorporate the rebirth of Israel, and applied the part about the generation not passing before all these these things be fulfilled to the WW-II generation, which has now passed into antiquity, and the "Boomers" are well along that same path as we write this. To know this, all we need do is look at all our favorite classic rock musicians and see how few members of each group are left.
Remember HWA said, 1975, so what condition was Germany in at that time. See the holes, it doesn't make any sense, at least back then.
ReplyDeleteOn the subject of classic rock, I remember RCM talking about how certain electric guitar sounds could be demonic. Smh
Herbie was wrong about Germany in the 1940s when he preached about Germany winning WWII and Herbie was wrong when he preached about Germany invading the US in the 1970s.
ReplyDeleteGiven the fact that the words Germany and Europe don't appear in the Bible, and all the experiences with failed predictions, sober people would be very cautious about preaching about Germany trying to conquer the world in the 2020s.
At the present time, Germany is a very peaceful country. There has been recent efforts to build their military - as they should, rather than count on the US to provide safety in the face of European threats. However, Germany's biggest hurdle to being a world-dominating power is their lack of fertility. Germany's population is bolstered by Middle Eastern immigrants who tend to have a higher birth rate than ethnic Germans. Armstrongisms only hope of Germany being Assyrian is the tiny possibility of Germany's newcomers having any trace of Assyrian DNA, and eventually displacing the ethnic Germans.
Someone above mentioned rock music; I enjoy the German band Milky Chance. Perhaps that will protect me when the Germans invade.
At this present time, America is being invaded by a whole bunch of diverse people. Open borders, means a whole bunch of things. What happens in the 2030's. There may not even get to a "german" invasion.

Amen to those words.
Watching tv news one will sometime hear a "reporter" talk about the Devil, that "the Devil is in the details:" however, the reporter probably does not really believe what came out of the mouth, and yet the reporter is closer to the truth than he/she realizes.
How much predictive reality does the xcog leaders have? Especially in their factured, fractured, state of being? After all we're told:
2 Cor 11:13 "For such [are] false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
15 Therefore [it is] no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works."
And then the hirelings of each group wants everyone to think they are the #1 God's Church, but that is ridiculous in light of Jesus' words here:
Matthew 15:13 "...Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up."
Is a time coming when that prophecy will finally be fulfilled and we all agree that it actually happened?
Time will tell...but let's not hold our breath as it may be a lot farther away than we wish before that verse takes on its real predictive value.

Yes, Anon, you have well described what ignorance was like in the WCG and in this world, in general.
WCG? Yes, "...They couldn’t even predict or watch out how their previous association (Worldwide) would implode..."
We know that the principalities (Eph 6:12; I John 3:8; 2 Cor 11:13-15; Rev 2-3, etc.) have been involved in WCG, just like they are in the USA, and the entire world.
Joe Tkach senior was trained as a Laodicean for years, but for what? "...For such a time as this?" For, that approximate last 10 years of his life as the leader of the Laodiceans: hence the implosion. There will be no 8th era, congregation, church as God fulfills Rev 2-3 in accordance with His predetermined will for His, God's, Church. Time is telling, but we were ignorant the, and still perhaps now about what was happening worldwide. Life goes on.
Joe Biden has been trained for years, approximately 40 years, "...for such a time as this?" Will we see an implosion for the USA house and this entire world, which appears to be happening right before our very eyes and ears and pocket books, etc.? Time will tell...
Oh, Gog, 7th head of the beast won't exist until after the 1,000 years (Doug Winnail's and other xcog hirelings Mickey Mouse millennium) and a short/little time/season, but it will exist.
Anon, time will tell...
John
Yes John, as always time will tell.
ReplyDeleteAnd we as humans don't control time. Again, Germany has over dozens and dozens of US military bases, but LCG hardly ever mentions this.
To you and Scout, peace out.
