Wake Up! The Worldwide Church of God is not destroyed. It is rising...

The Kitchen family wants you to WAKE UP!

The song is WAKE UP by Llunr. All credit goes to the artist.

We need to wake up brethren and get away from this Babylon.
The Worldwide Church of God is not destroyed. It is rising...

In order for the WCG to arise, they need your money:

    1. Is it rising becuse of calcium carbonate or disodium phosphate?

(& one rabbit hole site elaborates that those ingredients will only leaven IF combined WITH baking soda)

  2. Kitchen’s are cooking up some really scary stories I see
    - and they want money to make the rising and marching of the New Worldwide Church of God happen - with the Armstrong scary stories enhanced by skillfull propaganda experts to make them even more scary and real looking

  3. These folks are delusional. The Worldwide Church of God was a manmade corporation which no longer exists. The "New" Worldwide Church of God is clearly an invention of the Kitchens. Indeed, every one of the splinter groups is something new and different - the original is GONE!

  4. They have the same problem as all the other splinters. They lack a dynamic celebrity spokesman in the mold of HWA or GTA. The only individual who even came close to this was the late Ian Boyne. He was working on reforming Armstrongism, and was ready to move forward with it at the time of his sudden illness and demise. He shared that with us here, and I can only imagine how jealous Bob Thiel must have been at the reception we gave Ian!

All of the pretenders don't seem to realize that the sort of talent required is a very rare commodity. HWA made it seem as if having the correct message caused God to imbue the spokesman with talent and power to preach the message. All these guys have become franchisees of the message, and they don't realize that the Armstrongs already had the talent, and were brilliant salesmen of the message HWA concocted applying what he knew from his area of expertise, advertising. The splinter leaders' "works" and "great commissions" languish in the doldrums as they wait for God to reward them with the talents of the Armstrongs. They don't seem to grasp how probability has been defied in that nearly forty years later, such a talent has not surfaced in any of the splinters. You'd think at least one would have risen from amongst God's spewings, the splinters,

To paraphrase a well known saying, "Once spewed, never back!"

  5. Lonnie,
You said, "the ORIGINAL" WCG is GONE. Not true. Jon Brisby has a touch of GTA minus the TV Program. And his Church of God, the Eternal is as original as it could be as far as original doctrines (D&R, Monday Pentecost, Man's Nature, among others) are concerned. You can check it out.

  6. More than just "CHARISMA" , the Armstrongs had the luck of timing. The fears brought on by the Cold War and societal change, PLUS a media that was a lot more narrow and focused, with a lot less competition.

That plus, the control of organizational scuttlebutt and examination, and you had a pretty decent 20 year run from about 1955 to 1975.

The environment of today is a far different dynamic, with media choice, internet transparency accountability, etc. Even GTA post 1978 did not come anywhere close to his success in the 60s.

  7. Anonymous Friday, April 12, 2024 at 4:33:00 AM PDT,

Isn't Jon Brisby associated with Church of God, The Eternal? (https://www.cogeternal.org/) Their website does claim that he is a pastor and the Director of that organization. Is that claim inaccurate?

Also, we find on that same website this quote from Raymond Cole: "Who are we? We are estranged members—a remnant (Romans 9:27–33; 11:1–5, Isaiah 1:8–9, Revelation 12:13–17)—from the apostate body (2 Thessalonians 2:1–3) who sincerely love God’s revealed Truth from the heart (2 Thessalonians 2:10), willing to remain faithful to the end (Matthew 24:13)." Moreover, we are also informed that "The 'Fundamentals of Belief' of Church of God, The Eternal, enumerated herein, are taken verbatim from the 'Fundamentals of Belief' of the Radio Church of God (later incorporated as the Worldwide Church of God).

The Church of God, The Eternal, believes the Worldwide Church of God was the true Church of God until its acceptance of unauthorized doctrinal changes, which occurred in 1973–74. Since that time, we believe, God’s true servants have been basically scattered-yet have continued to maintain and practice the original 'Fundamentals of Belief' of the Worldwide Church of God."

    Are those statements inaccurate?

  8. These guys should be called the "CaPCOG", the Cut-and-Paste Church of God. That is all they (he) do. Looking at the website it is all just original WCG content from decades ago. The Who We Are page is cut-and-paste. The Our Work page is cut-and-paste. The Our History page is cut-and-paste. Even the World News page, which is supposed to be new content, is cut-and-paste news articles from other sources. Somehow this is leading a church?

So what's the plan Samuel? Have all these COG members join your organization, faithfully tithe to you/it, so they can sit there and read HWA's books and watch his videos? Honestly, what do they need you for?

  9. "..and practice the original 'Fundamentals of Belief' of the Worldwide Church of God."

But that's the problem. Herb ran his church as a brain-washing abusive cult, and non of the splinters have outgrown this. The splinter leaders knowingly reject the Bible's condemnation of this, so God has rejected them.
Instead of repenting, there's been a doubling down on what seemed to work, ie, tyranny. Actually, the church at its prime might have reached several times it's size had they followed God's instructions rather than the commands of men.

  10. Want us to come out of Babylon, but on the other hand they want our Babylon currency? Go figure.

  11. What does Jon Brisby say about Herbert's behavior with Dorothy during the very yesrs in which Herbert was developing the doctrines? Good fruit from a bad tree?

  12. Ya know how Bob Thiel supports his ministry with the income from vitamins and herbs? Would it really be that much of a leap for one of these splinter groups to get the necessary permits and start their own dispensary to support their ministries? They could include Bible verses in the packages, and mold the edibles in the shapes of Biblical characters. Imagine popping an edible before bed time that was an image of HWA! Honestly? That would certainly solve the problem of him being unknown and forgotten, wouldn't it? 😅😂🤣😇
