New Interview: Jim Valekis: From Worldwide Church of God to Preaching the True Christ
I'm surprised that at 13.30 minutes, he acknowledged that members who faithfully tithed were blessed by God for it since they believed it was biblical.
I think Jim Valekis has a lot to say. He’s forthright and admits past shortcomings in his preaching. I read here the comments on tithing, but Jim frames it in the Holy Spirit blessing those that are faithful even in a cult like Worldwide was. I think Jim is saying this from the Holy Spirit acting as it will to work on Christians in a cult and to bring them to truth, and then probably out of the cult. He is inspired by Jesus and by Jesus being everything in the New Testament and in the lives of Christians as He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Thus, he has no issue with an all encompassing God blessing and acting on a Christian within a cult. Jim focuses on Christ and the Holy spirit even though it perhaps led him into but certainly led him out of the Armstrong cult.
