As the east coast of the United States reels from the devastating impact of Hurricane Helene, the boys in Charlotte want to make sure that the general public does not mix with their site in Palmetto, FL. Apparently, part of the property is used during disasters and power outages.
LCG has been working with the site to keep those people separated away from the glorious Gospel of the Good News of the Kingdom of God and the millennial setting picture by the Feast of Tabernacles. God forbid any unwashed heathens might happen to sit in the back during church services. That would be a shame.
Also, pray for the brethren in these areas, not so much for the rest of the population.
Hurricane Helene
As Mr. Weston mentioned in his weekly video message, Mr. Ryan Dawson, Festival Site Coordinator for Palmetto, Florida, has been in contact with the site administrator concerning the incoming storm. The property is not expected to sustain any major damage or to be closed for any length of time. However, the property is an emergency shelter, and the south end of it is used when there are power outages. Mr. Dawson and our contact with the venue have discussed a plan to isolate our event from any potential traffic. We do not currently anticipate any major disruptions to the Feast site in Palmetto.
Some of the local brethren in the potential path of the storm may experience a direct hit, though most are fairly far inland. However, they may be subject to flooding or wind damage. Just last year, one member's house was left uninhabitable due to hurricane Idalia. Please pray for God’s protection for the Palmetto Feast site as well as the one in Gulf Shores, Alabama, and for all the brethren in the path of the storm.
There will be millions of refugees and displaced persons when Christ returns with His saints to put an end to the final World War. Will LCG members refuse to mix with those needy, hurting people? I guess "servant leadership" is just one more of the many LCG lies.
ReplyDeleteI know right, they've got the outline of how prophecy will go down until Messiah returns, but they don't have the right attitude. Their on "own kindred" gets into their own way.
DeletePerhaps our LCG "leadership" and our church siblings could pray and ask God how we can help and serve in areas affected, and how we can be a light and a blessing to them and show Jesus the Christ. I know fellow LCG'ers, it won't happen, but that is my thought. Shame on our LCG leaders. As I said to some of my LCG folks here, if some of these ministers were lawyers or doctors they would be fired or sued for malpractice.
ReplyDeleteClearly the concern is not that "outsiders" will hear the Feast services, but that services not be disrupted by the activities of the shelter. That is a legitimate concern. Being drowned out by forklifts, trucks, and people coming and going is a real possibility. I suspect that the locals will naturally be respectful when they realize that church services are being held. Some might even listen in for a bit.
ReplyDeleteo, on the contrary 5:35pm. It is we from LCG who should be apologizing for interrupting and distracting community efforts for helping the people affected. It is WE who will be guests in Their community. It is we who should be offering to help Them, not the other way aroundwhereby they are the ones interrupting our services. Even if that Feast venu weren't used by us and we were somewhere else in the area, we should be offering to help somehow if the area is hard hit and needs it. Seems to me the old excuse that God's people are too busy doing God's work, yep that great work at the close of this age, to help as God's people. Our leaders are like drivers who don't know how to drive.
DeleteArmstrongism was always very good at setting up and playing the divisive game "us vs them".
DeleteHaving said that, LCG is bringing a lot of money into the pockets of the "haves" in the Palmetto community. Wouldn't it be nice if they made a nice contribution to the shelter? I'm no longer in Armstrongism, but with what I've learned over the past decades, these days I'd probably make a donation from my second tithe to the shelter. Boy, would that set off an apoplectic seizure for the LCG execs whenever the shelter told them how nice the people from their church were!
The only way I would listen would be if I heard the sweet sounds of African American gospel music emanating from the services, just as I did at morning break, while working overtime on a Sunday at AC Press during the 1970s. There was a Black church across the street. Oh, those joyful sounds! Several years later, I really identified with Jake and Elwood Blues as they went on their adventure in "The Blues Brothers"!
ReplyDeleteMaybe God told LCG to get out of town. Check the update:
