Breaking News: Sheldon Monson Breaches Minister/Member Confidentiality And Tells Summer Camp And The Church That A Young Person Is Posssed By Legion And Multiple Demons

This information originates from a source connected to Sheldon Monson's splinter group. I have removed the child's name from this post, but the full letter is rapidly spreading within the Church of God Assembly, violating minister/member confidentiality. Rather than seeking immediate professional medical counseling, Monson attempted to perform an exorcism. The "battle" reportedly continues, with the entire church expected to begin fasting and praying tonight (July 7, 2025). This young individual will likely face lasting stigma within the church, with members shunning them and parents restricting their children from associating with them.

Church of God members should be aware that privacy is virtually nonexistent in any Church of God. The Worldwide Church of God effectively trained its splinter leaders in this regard.

Incidentally, this child is from a high-ranking leadership family in the Church of God Assembly.

Good Evening Brethren,

We just returned home from Summer Camp this evening and thought it important to send this request out immediately. We are requesting prayers and fasting for B____. This past Sabbath I made an announcement just before the stream to those present at camp. I read Ephesians 6:10-13 and requested prayers for B____ stating he was in a spiritual battle and needed God’s help. It seemed prudent to announce the issue in this manner and to allow the children and campers to return home in order for parents to address this in a manner of their choosing.

Midway through the second week of camp it became clear that there was something wrong with B____. His dad and I pulled him out of the dorm and took him to our home where we spoke with him about what was going on when it became very clear that he had become possessed by several demons. From that moment on we isolated him from the entire camp. Only the minsters and their wives and few close friends were informed of the problem. All of the children in the house were removed to spend the night with other families. All five ministers present prayed fervently throughout the night Thursday and on several other occasions on both Friday and Saturday rebuking these demons and commanding them to come out in the name of Jesus Christ (Mark 16:17). It was clear that we were dealing with many demons as they constantly referred to themselves in the plural form and revealed themselves in different ways. One particular demon referred to himself as “Legion” on more than one occasion (Mark 5:9). On the trip home today one of these demons claimed to be the God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob. Some strong demons yet remain. It is for this reason that we are asking the entire Church to pray and fast beginning tomorrow evening at sunset, Monday, July 7th. Christ said that there were some demons who only come out by prayer and fasting (Matthew 17:21).

Today as we were about to leave camp they claimed that we had failed in our attempts to cast them out. Tomorrow several of us in the ministry will be traveling to Murfreesboro to continue beseeching God to intervene and cast these demons out. God is making it clear that no man will be able to take the credit for what He alone has the power to do. The glory goes to God – He will demonstrate His power – He will prevail. In the meantime we will pray and fast. We will not waver between belief and unbelief (James 1:6-8). We will continue to persevere patiently waiting for God to deliver B_____ from this trial. As we know “all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” (Romans 8:28); (Deuteronomy 8:16).

Sincerely,

Sheldon Monson

  1. If your father is a bigwig in an ACOG and you're being forced against your will to attend a brainwashing summer camp, a response like B's is not just understandable but probably a very good coping strategy. If word of this spreads to other ACOGs, will we see an epidemic of "demon possessions" at camps this summer?

  2. Like there was ever ministurd/member confidentiality!

  3. I'm reminded of the day John Amos (then in WCG, before moving to PCG) spent a long time during "announcements" at services speaking against marrying outside the church.

I was visiting the area and wondered what this was about. It turned out Mr. Amos was focused on a young man in the hall - a man who recently had done that. (That young man told me so afterward.)

Mr. Amos didn't name names, but many people there probably knew who he meant. For Mr. Monson to go beyond that is stunning.

    1. I saw where Amos died last year. He was in that Pierce Brosnan movie, “The Last Rifleman,” about the WWII vet, but I will always remember him from “Good Times.”

  4. I would urge these ministers to make sure that this young man is provided with proper medical care immediately. There are known mental illnesses which can be diagnosed and treated. There are also deadly toxins such as ergot and jimson weed, which when ingested, can cause hallucination and other systems.

It also seems conveniently suspicious that a church-raised kid would choose spiritual names right from the pages of the Bible. Healthcare professionals would be able to see through a ruse. The young man could have had it up to here with his parents religion and could be retaliating in a way which mimics a power that the church people all fear. Again, healthcare professionals would be able to make a proper assessment.

  5. Both psychologists and psychiatrists are legally bound by confidentiality laws. Violating these laws can result in lawsuits, and the lose of their license. But this doesn't apply to ministers of religion. History is that information given by members ends up in a church "dirt file." It's often passed along by word of mouth by other ministers and elders. While such information might be genuinely helpful at times, eg, member X is a psychopath, more often than not, it's used as a control mechanism against members. And not only that, but members can't even know what their file contains or challenge it's inaccuracies. How can the ministers say "mind your own business" to members regarding their file, since it personally impacts them?
And as others have pointed out here, when drunk, ministers have mocked members problems. So much for empathy and confidentiality.
Based on ministers past behavior, it's wise to keep one's problems exclusively with God alone.

    1. Yes, and unfortunately ministers or not usually mandatory reporters of abuse and such (thank you, Catholics). Normally, animal welfare is the only place I break Left politically. But I might actually agree a little bit with political liberals here on this one point, and would love to see that changed.

  6. I would only be surprised if he was "posessed" by Hrathgor or Ruthnaf...god/demons he would not have known from his parents religion......take the kid to a mental health specialist already.....

  7. I assume the child was behaving normal before camp? I wouldn't trust the places, environment these camps are held in.

  8. Exorcism is an all or nothing. I remember the late Ron Dart talking about exorcisms, and he seemed to have a point. It’s not a drawn-out process. “In the name of [INSERT DEITY, MESSIAH FIGURE, OR CHILD MOLESTING FALSE APOSTLE HERE], I command you, demon(s), to come out of this person!” And if the demon doesn’t come out, when you get out, because either there’s something more going on, or you’ve made a big mistake.

  9. I wish there was some way I could contact this child and offer my home as an escape. Exit and support should be the focus here. This is clearly either an act of rebellion to free himself from this overtly racist cult or he needs professional psychiatric care. Either way, I wish I could provide him with a safe place. If he's reading this, please DM me on social media and I will help you escape. My last name is hidden but I'm a member of the largest family in the church so I'm sure you can figure it out. I'm here for you.

    1. Ma’am, do you really believe an Armstrongist cult will allow one of their youths to look at a site like this? Especially with them under such observation right now? I’m sure you mean well, but you would do far better for him and so many others to identify yourself and help to break down the Armstrong-developed cult-hold over traditional followers of his religion.

  10. Put that "mask" on and put your gloves on Mr. Munson before you "cast out the demon" since you think you have the power to you false splinter minister.

  12. I think that too many of the times some of these guys will accuse someone of being possessed almost like they are making a ham sandwich ( maybe turkey ham). It seems as if they they don't seem to have the power of Christ or the apostles to actually get the job done. Like an earlier post noted, it didn't seem to be like reading War & Peace rather it took place very quickly.

  13. In the DSM, the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual, there you will find the recognized disorders and the symptoms, their frequency and duration. A patient must exhibit a minimum number of symptoms for a minimum duration before they can be classified as having the disorder. My question is, How do you determine that a person is demon possessed? Psychiatrists can't always agree on a diagnosis after examining a patient. How can a pastor, especially one not well trained, know that anyone is demon possessed?

If you are a COGASS minister, and your son is being rebellious, you are either a bad minister, a bad parent, or a righteous man being attacked by demons through their possession of your son.

Two of those options cause you to lose status in COGASS. One of those options saves face and maybe even makes you a martyr-hero. That makes for an easy diagnosis, doesn't it?

  14. It seems that when someone is possessed by an evil spirit there is a strange aura or feeling about them. You can just "feel" it. Also, the scriptures speak of the gift of discerning or distinguishing between spirits.
    1 Corinthians 12:10.

    1. Both of which are is subjective and intuitive. Kind of like how some people “know” Armstrong was all that, and his church is the “true” one. I won’t deny the possibility of something supernatural like demon possession. But the only reasonable proof of such involves supernatural manifestation. Is this kid doing a Linda Blair?

  15. There was a blogger on here years ago whose father was a minister and subjected him to an exorcism. Apparently this must be from yet another "good parenting" skill of the Armstrong faith. A good parent always casts out his kids' demons!

I remember asking about one of the single girls in the Pasadena area, years ago, and was advised not to get too close because she had had a demon problem. Seemed perfectly normal to me.

There was a woman having marital problems with her husband, and she showed up in the parking lot after sabbath services smoking a cigarette, and the rumor went around that she had a demon.

COGlodytes are a superstitious lot, and peoples' lives can be ruined by it.

    1. Here in Pasadena, we had men who claimed that certain dorms were demon-possessed, including the house that Tkach Sr. moved into. Demons lived in the third floor of Mayfair. They lived in Manor Del Mar. They lived in the old Library and the Library Annex. They lived in certain SOG Apts. They lived in Olcott. Demons also lived in certain rooms in the Fine Arts Hall. The stupidity was endless.

  17. LCG started their youth camp yesterday at the same camp that Sheldon just left. You'd think Gerry would have reconsidered seeing as the Fitz boy was 100% fine when he arrived and "demon possessed" 5 days later. If I thought there were demons roaming a church campsite - seeking children to posses, I'd cancel camp or relocated it. Seems negligent and reckless.

Did LCG send out a letter to parents letting them know there were demons at the camp? I mean if there was lice or bedbugs parents would be notified. You'd think l parents might like to make an informed decision before shipping little junior off... but maybe they think the LCG pharisees have more powerful powers of protection than Sheldon and his racist group of heretics.

  18. My first week at AC, one of the guys who worked in the AC Gym laundry told me that there were regular demon events on the basketball court in the evening hours when nobody except the laundry staff was present. Horrifying shreiks, they'd go up there thinking someone had been injured, and see a basketball bounce down, losing energy as if being dribbled and let go.

He also told me that it was best not to get the cheap haircuts at the Barber College a couple blocks away on Colorado Blvd because the trainees were all "queers". There was a lot of phobia about that, as well as the demons.

  19. Elizabeth, back when I was attending original WCG, they did acknowledge demons, but also taught that we had God's protection. There were supposedly unexplainable events, occasionally, and the ministers attributed them to demons. If a member explosively confronted a minister, or flipped out and did something really irrational at church activities, it would be attributed to demons, and comments would be made about the individual not having gotten in his or her prayer and Bible Study. You should have heard the conversations one sabbath when an older lady suffered an epileptic seizure shortly after services one sabbath!

I can also see where there could be self-righteousness amongst the splinter group leaders of today. Like maybe Gerry thinking, "Oh, Sheldon and his people rebelled against "God's Church", so of course Satan and his demons would be around them! This isn't going to affect our young people!"

Armstrongites are programmed almost to look forward to demon attacks as a proof that they are part of "God's True Church". There are usually perfectly logical and more realistic explanations for these events. But, they insist on escallating to demons every time!

    1. I watched Bob League have some sort of epileptic type fit one Sabbath during services when I attended with LCG. His eyes rolled back in his head and his body shook. He was murmuring and muttering nonsense. Someone called 911. He was one of the most evil men I've ever known in my life. He and Rod McNair are def amongst the least Christian people I have ever known. It makes me wonder...
