David C. Pack of The Restored Church of God expressed his concern about ChatGPT's AI technology showing signs of demonic influence. Since it was "pretty obvious" that UFOs are demonic, it was not unreasonable to believe Satan was influencing some Internet programming.
During "The Greatest Untold Story! (Part 626)" on March 7, 2026, the Pastor General referenced an article about others having the same concern, pointing out that AI will lie and try to manipulate users. He then explained how this evil "sentience" could be the work of the devil since Satan is "the god of this world."
As a reminder,
the Kingdom comes on Abib 1,
starting March 18, 2026, at sunset.

Technology itself is probably not bad but AI has FLOODED the web with lies. Fake news stories and fake news pictures are much easier to generate than before, and even mainstream "news" organizations around the world are using a LOT of fake pictures, etc. We are in the post-truth era. Oh wait, we never had any truth to begin with.
ReplyDeleteYaknow, 10:58, he could have just stated his case as you so eloquently did and left it at that. That would have been sufficient, and many would have agreed. These guys have a deep inner need to weave Satan into everything with which they disagree, Dave makes himself so cartoonish. He uses a paintball gun where a little touch up brush would have accomplished the task at hand much more effectively.
DeletePeople in the know are beginning to examine long-wave financial, technological, and political cycles once again to explain what appears to be unfolding all around us.
ReplyDeleteDave shows an amazing lack of understanding of these cycles (as do all of the ACOG leaders and Bob Thiel), and his off the cuff comments and continued false prophecies, which always miss the mark, are the continung evidence. All these leaders can do is what they know to do. Repeat HWA's mantras, and attempt to show that somehow they apply, in spite of the obvious differences in current Zeitgeist. Apparently people look to ChatGPT for answers, as opposed to looking to Dave and the other Armstrong disciples, so he brands that service as demonic. After all, branding COG-7 as dead Sardis worked very well for HWA!
The problem with these very real long wave cycles is that even if you pattern your own life responsibly, the inevitable chaos prevalent in the greater surrounding system during the final segments of the cycle is going to affect you in spite of your own stability. This makes people uncomfortable, while opening the door to those who would exploit and control you with their supposed solutions. Alas, the exploiters didn't have the solutions back then, and they do not now! That's the way exploiters roll!

AI is a concern. Yes as others have said, fake news abounds. Yet even in mainstream media the truth has often gone astray. Witness the BBC and CNN and their news reports in recent times, not withstanding the Trump action against the BBC. I like many others have watched AI generated ‘news’ and it looks legitimate to the untrained. And almost impossible to discern the real from the fake. Does not scripture tell of a time when God will send a delusion upon the nations that they would believe the false and not the true. Good grief we don’t need AI to tell us that humanity has been in love with the false since Adam and Eve partook of the forbidden fruit. Yes a covering is over the nations. How this will all end regards AI, I’m not sure, but we have pointers told to us by the Hebrew prophets many ages ago. Cheers.
ReplyDeleteIf Satan is attacking both Dave Pack and Bob Thiel, it stands to reason that both of these men are on the same team. Yet Pack considers Thiel a false prophet, and Thiel considers Pack a false prophet. So, wouldn't Occam's Razor seem to indicate that BOTH are false prophets?
ReplyDeleteDave is toxic. I have had enough of toxic people.
ReplyDeletepointing out that AI will lie and try to manipulate users.
ReplyDeletePack seems to have found a likeness with the AI he rails against . I say so because I have noticed how Pack carefully manipulates words to ensure the gospel can't be about Christ - as he does for 1 Corinthians 15 and elsewhere - in his rush to ensure like Armstrong only they preach the true gospel whilst all others are under Paul's curse.
In like manner Pack manipulates words to create silly prophecies and to impose tithes on people that can only be done via more manipulations.
I suspect A1 would prove to be a far better teacher of things scriptural than pack ever could hope to be.
He should use Chat GPT to predict the 2nd coming
ReplyDeleteSomebody ought to do that as an experiment. I'm betting that the response would prominently feature Jesus' own words to the effect that only the Father knows. I mean, it would have to, wouldn't it? Miller, the Adventists, and all of those derivative of, or influenced by the Adventists started doing the math in the 1800's not realizing that Jesus' words indicate that it's a judgement call by Father God, and has nothing to do with genealogy based calculations, or 7,000 year theories, or times of the gentiles. Only when the horrifying events of Revelation kick in do we have a specific timeline. Global warming is most definitely in Revelation, but there are much more dramatic signs which appear before it.
