The Apostle Malm is on his 2012 start of the tribulation kick again:
I had recently said that I thought 2012 may well be the year that the tribulation begins. The reason is world trends, the situation in the COGs and the fact that only during a few years are there 45 days between the sixth day of Unleavends and the day before Pentecost. As you know, I teach a resurrection on the sixth day of Unleavends to complete the 1,290 days of Dan 12; to be followed by another 45 days to complete the 1,335 days of Dan 12 on the day before Pentecost. With the scripture being fulfilled that at the end of the days all flesh shall be blessed.
It is an interesting fact that 2012-2016 fits the bill for fulfilling the 1,290 and the 1,335 days of Daniel 12.
Counting from and including: Tuesday, September 18, 2012
To, and including: Saturday, May 14, 2016; is 1,335 days.
This means that IF 2012 were to be the start of this count; the abomination would be set up around 17-18 Sep 2012.
The Apostle wants to make clear to you that he does not set dates! Repeat, he does not set dates!
Let me say that I am NOT claiming this as definitely the year; that will not be known for sure UNTIL THE ABOMINATION IS SET UP. After he is set up in Rome the tribulation will begin 75 days later. 2012 however, is a very distinct possibility; and if the abomination is actually set up in sep 2012, it will not only be the start of counting the days; it will be direct proof of the teaching regarding the sixth day of Unleavends and Pentecost.
Crap, does this mean I will miss the Olympics? It's such a downer when the world comes to an end around you.,
NO2HWA, not to worry: The world will not miss the Olympics.
ReplyDeleteAs anyone knows, the pattern for fleeing for the Place of Safety was set when people in Jerusalem were warned AT THE PASSOVER to flee, whereupon they went to Pella.
So therefore, the Great Tribulation should start during the Days of Unleavened Bread unless, you know, the Scripture is playing with our heads.
That way, precise and on the dot, Jesus Christ can return 3 1/2 years later on the Feast of Trumpets. It's symmetric. No matter how the Malm Math is generated, it's not going to work his way. It's sort of like the "Lost 10 Tribes of Israel": Since there are six of the tribes directly mentioned in the New Testament, there's no way to make the math work that 12 - 6 = 10. It just won't work. I've tried octal and hexadecimal and even in another number base, it doesn't work.
I can't tell you specifically what went wrong with Malm's Math. I can give you the algebraic proceedure to prove that 1 = 2, by starting with A = B, but along the way, we divide by zero, so I don't think we can make points that way.
We would need to see a lot more proof than what's been given to have any confidence at all in Malm's Math.
It also looks like no significant events are going to occur in 2012, unless something amazing happens at the Olympics.
You never know.
On a semi-related note, CoGWriter claimed after 700 were arrested in New York this past weekend that "I have been writing for a long time that civil unrest and riots will happen in the USA."
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing like predicting the past -- Kent State was a long time ago.
This time it was people upset with Wall Street.
Not one word was mentioned about Boston where people were protesting Bank of America this weekend. (I had an account with BoA since 1970, but closed it on Friday because I belong to a Credit Union and because of the new fees for Debit Cards.)
And this all has to do with fulfilling Bible Prophecy?
That's a real stretch.
What do these people do, toss newspaper clippings into the air with pieces of paper with Scriptures on them to determine prophetic relevancy?
Or do they do what everyone else does and use ouija boards, Tarot Cards and chicken entrails?
Can you imagine how much of a pain it is to keep up with obscure German politicians on the premiss that one may be the "beast"?
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand, you are right, Douglas. All Thiel has to do is look at the headlines to have filler about his predictions. Of course the Plain Truth did that forever. That PCoG rag is horrible in this respect also. Actually everything it does is horrible (where did they get those people who write?).
Aw, sorry. I have other plans those days.
ReplyDeleteM.T.Abomina.
The ACOGs regularly grace us with their own version, the abomination of defecation. Once again, we're confronted with pure bull.
ReplyDeleteWhat always amazes me is that these groups claim that neither HWA, nor any of the rest of them ever set dates. Such revisionist lies may fly in some areas of the field, but, in 1966-67 we were actually taught the math calculations for the 1975 end right in Embarrassing College's Second Year Bible Class in the Loma D. Armstrong Academic Center.
Surely I am not the only one capable of remembering this!

Bob,
ReplyDeleteI also remember being in class when the "end times" time line was taught.

Hey! Those of us who weren't good enough to make the A.C. cream-of-the-crud list had to hear that shit about the end times week after week after week after sorry week in saturday services, spokesman's club, bible studies, booklets, newspaper articles, magazines, co-worker letters, television and radio programs, family members, "friends" and in-laws, "ministerial" visits, as they proceeded to check my drawers(that sounds nasty), and to see whether I had any white sugar or white flour in my kitchen. I hid that shit pretty well from those bastards. They never did find my Playboy.
ReplyDeleteDouglas says he can prove that 1 = 2.
ReplyDeleteHey! I know that proof too. I learned it from an Isaac Asimov essay in The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction. I impressed my Algebra II teacher in high school with it.
But Asimov proved that 2 = 1. Hmmm, maybe it's not the same proof.
Thanks, Glenn! Does that make us "the two witnesses?" LOL!
ReplyDeleteBB
Of course it is the same proof because it is commutible.
