Flurry started his little "college." Meredith has his. United has one. Dave Pack is building another one. Ron Weinland is in the same boat too, which is probably a good thing since he is soon to be incarcerated for tax evasion and therefore could not run his college.
Now the Churches of God are blessed with yet another institution that will be pumping out useless degrees and certificates. Church of God a Worldwide Association has now started the Foundation Institute Center for Biblical Understanding
Helping individuals establish a foundation built upon the eternal laws and principles of living that will enable people to have a full, happy and exciting physical life and ultimately eternal life in the family of God—this is a vital goal of the Ministerial Board of Directors and the administrative leadership of the Church. It is with that goal in mind that they have established the Foundation Institute, Center for Biblical Education.
If they weren't serious, this could be take as a big joke. What kind of biblical understanding are they talking about? They certainly will NOT be using highly educated biblical scholars to educate their people. They will be using their own tunnel vision ministers who think they know all. Plus, the myriads of books articles and videos of HWA will be used as important tools. Their "education" will be stuck in pre-1986 mode, yet again. And what kind of "full, happy and exciting life" are they talking about? The one filled with suicides, depression, alcoholism, and cultic characteristics? That is the legacy the Churches of God presently have.
All this world needs is another puppy mill dishing out little clones of Lil' Joel and crew.
At least I can hand it to them for not using a derivative of Ambassador College/University.
Gary! Talk about wading into it... You mentioned Lord Voldemort by name; He Who Must Not Be Named lest his lawyers issue intimidating letters threatening multi-zillion dollar lawsuits. Voldemort is such a sensitive soul when it comes to any implied criticism, a humble but righteous man much persecuted by wicked non-believers who are blinded to his genius. Just ask Douglas!

You know Gavin, I was just thinking after watching the first 5 movies this past weekend on the Family Channel Network, that I really relate to Harry... in such a big way, really.
ReplyDeleteBig surprise tomorrow.
It's tomorrow because it's so darned hard to figure out when the new moon is.
Huh?
ReplyDeleteI would like to see some figures as to how many people sign up for these clown colleges and how many graduate each year. I highly doubt the masses are beating down the doors to attend them. Pretty soon these churches are going to run out of 40 year old 2nd generationers, with college age kids that are being forced to be the 3rd generation. These dopes are dwindling in numbers and do they think by establishing a college, that's going to attract more people? What people are supposed to attend these colleges?
ReplyDeletePathetic
I am noticing the pillar in the logo is not actually holding anything up. Nice touch...

"Helping individuals establish a foundation built upon the eternal laws and principles of living that will enable people to have a full, happy and exciting physical life and ultimately eternal life in the family of God..."
ReplyDeleteThe WCG and its splinters and slivers make a lot of promises that they are not going to be able to deliver on, and that God will not feel obligated to deliver on for them even though these liars made the promises in His name.
If you read the email to the Internet Registrar and the attorney, you will see that it is evident that Lord Voldemort is also a deceiver.
ReplyDeleteComment in this post was made that:
ReplyDelete"...All this world needs is another puppy mill dishing out little clones of Lil' Joel and crew..."
I find that mention of "clones" very interesting, because just recently I was reading an article written about 1996 that said something similar, but related to Mr. Herbert W. Armstrong:
"...NOT ONE of these hirelings was commissioned by God to carry on Mr. Armstrong’s work! They are only “would be” clones. Mr. Armstrong NEVER picked ANY of these men, and neither did God Almighty!...He NEVER works through four or five “would be” clones that vote themselves into office or start their own work..."
I look forward to a day when the day of "the little clones" of other human beings ends...
