Harvest Rock, the weird charismatic personality sect that bought the Ambassador Auditorium had high hopes in buying the Hall of Administration so they could start a School of the Supernatural and a preschool. They were constantly bragging on how the Holy Spirit was leading them to buy the Hall of Ad.
Apparently the Holy Spirit pulled a fast one on them and helped a consortium of Chinese to buy it with an offer of a two day escrow that left Harvest Rock flailing in the dust. All of the prophesying, pogoing, and barking members never had the inspiration to know what was going on.
It is almost assured that condo's, a hotel or some other
large complex will be built there. There is no historical significance in
preserving the building. The inside is in fair condition and still
actually contain some of the furnishings from the old WCG that are in that
"Mad Men" style. The biggest use of the building was a few
years ago by the cable series Fringe where they made it into a museum.
Harvest Rock was renting rooms from Maranatha High School, then owners of the
building.
I have to wonder how long it will be till Prophet Bob Thiel finds some prophetic reasoning behind the Chinese buying the building. Crazy COG ministers decades ago used to claim that when Germany invaded the U.S. they would be so in awe of the magnificent buildings and grounds that they would make it their HQ for the destruction of the western United State. Since that turned out to be an abject failure, now they will start claiming the Chinese will use the campus for their HQ when they invade the U.S.

Fun times are ahead!
You mean, "Chinese Buy..."
ReplyDeletethe cable series Fringe
ReplyDeleteJust for clarification, is this the Fox Network series?
Sad to see that this is the last season, but do we consider Fox a cable network?
But hey, anything Armstrongist is Fringe, isn't it? And Banned is the series for the Fringe! (The best one is demons entering earth through the Stargate! I don't think anything can top that!)
More Banned by HWA!?

Thanks Anon for catching that. It was late when I received an email about this and when I posted it.
ReplyDeleteActs 5:34-39 Then stood there up one in the council, a Pharisee, named Gamaliel, a doctor of the law, had in reputation among all the people, and commanded to put the apostles forth a little space; And said unto them, Ye men of Israel, take heed to yourselves what ye intend to do as touching these men. For before these days rose up Theudas, boasting himself to be somebody; to whom a number of men, about four hundred, joined themselves: who was slain; and all, as many as obeyed him, were scattered, and brought to nought. After this man rose up Judas of Galilee in the days of the taxing, and drew away much people after him: he also perished; and all, even as many as obeyed him, were dispersed. And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought: But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't always work out that way, but in this case, all of the empire Herbert Armstrong built, with all of the supposed greatness and the supposed dedication, it came to nothing.
Even those who sprang from Herbert Armstrong are progressively coming to nothing.
But then, we aren't going to leave them alone, because it appears that God certainly isn't opposing our efforts to expose them for all they are worth.
On the other hand, they may end up becoming nothing all on their own.
The "nothing" part is the point.
Yes Douglas, it is the FOX series
ReplyDeleteDemons don't have to enter Earth through the Stargate, since they are already in the hollow earth.
ReplyDelete(That has been PROVEN by Jumbo-tron-wielding mainstream REAL Christians, who have lowered microphones deep into the earth to hear the screams and goings-on in Hell.)
Demons may be percolating up through volcanoes as I write this, to attack your Holy-Spirit-Inspired TRUE Knowledge!
And please, believe Bob Theil when sadly and of course, he says that the "Horry Speelit" now has a Chinese accent and says things like, "Me likey Feasty and Lollidick Mellidith!"
Norm
It's a shame that the property wasn't purchased by Michael Rood.
ReplyDeleteNorm, I'm confused.
ReplyDeleteI was just sure that the demons came from off planet to earth through the Stargate at the bottom of the ocean.
It's the people living inside the hollow earth coming out the North Pole in their flying saucers that I think you are thinking of (the same ones who do the work for Santa's Workshop and the ones who really deliver the toys on Christmas Eve -- there's nothing like outsourcing work to foreign contractors and then taking management credit for it all).
There is some real concern in mainstream circles, such as the CIA, the FBI, and the Pentagon regarding recent incredible activities from the Chinese. Several years back, there was an uproar about a Chinese company taking over the ports of Los Angeles. The fact that China has become the US's banker is of no small concern to many informed citizens. And, if anyone watched 60 Minutes this past weekend, then you know that a Chinese company is waiting in the wings to take over the global telecommunications industry. Even before this news
ReplyDeletesurfaced, conspiritorialists saw "Big Brother" in every rfid chip, every laptop camera, and all of the new "smart" meters installed by your local electric company.
I hate that this seems to be the direction in which the New World Order is rapidly progressing, but it should be very interesting to watch the ways in which the ACOGs continue to fan the flames of Germany while downplaying the influences of China, and the radical Arab states.
BB
Yes, Byker Bob, especially the Arabs, who were never once mentioned in the Old Testament, were never a problem to Israel and just aren't on the radar for the world scene.
ReplyDeleteIt's those darned Germans.
And China?
I just did a search through e-sword and China doesn't even appear in the Bible, therefore, it can have no impact at all on the world in the end time.
Douglas,
ReplyDeleteSome apply the names "Gog" and "Magog" to China for the purposes of end time prophecy, although I don't know if that is any more accurate than calling Germany "Assyria". The Chinese are the only current civilization that could amass a multi-million man army. Some even speculate that their mandatory abortion policy weights their civilization towards massive male proliferation.
If you've read any of Dr. David Jeremiah's materials, you know that the good Doctor states that you can't even really find the USA in end time prophecies. Of course, he doesn't subscribe to the laughable idiocy known as British Israelism (applied to a couple of melting pots, fer the luv a Pete!)
I've come to the belief that prophecy's main objective is not to pre-warn people, as God will always protect His elect. Therefore, it is ludicrous to try to understand the specifics or to use it to manipulate others. (Sorry HWA if you're listening, but you were wrong again!) It is only after the fulfillment that we realize that God is all powerful, and does fulfill His prophecies.
BB
Douglas,
ReplyDeleteThere are so many demons, coming from so many directions, that it's hard to document them all.
Sadly and of course, Bob Theil can tell us the TRUTH ABOUT DEMONS that had been lost (in spaceships stargates, volcanoes, elves and herbies) for 1900 years.
Now is the time to REJOICE and PRAISE JESUS CHRIST for the ability to be a totally paranoid and deluded nutcase!
Norm
Now is the time to REJOICE and PRAISE JESUS CHRIST for the ability to be a totally paranoid and deluded nutcase!
ReplyDeleteOne of the many abilities I am seeking not to have, thanks.
Not sure that's a fruit of the Spirit, but even if it is, I don't want it.
Both "Mad Men" and "Fringe" are great shows! Pity though the sociopathic oligarchs and technocrats in control of America are so insane that they're allowing foreigners, evenly openly anti-American countries, like Communist China, to buy up American land, businesses, industries, jobs, etc. transferring future wealth and social stability to other countries. That's the essence of madness! That's like a man selling his family's home, car, farmland and animals, all of his family's assets, even the clothes off their backs, to an enemy (even frenemy!) and then renting the house and car from them, and buying whatever they produce from what was once their own land and livestock, and then down the track they lose their job, the bills are piling up, and they can't pay for anything any more!
ReplyDeleteI happily admit that the subject of "things WCG" sometimes inspires me to a bit of fun sarcasm.

ReplyDelete"God will always protect His elect"
Really? What planet do you live on?
"God will always protect His elect"
ReplyDeleteReally, now? I thought the Jews were his "chosen people." Some protection from 1940 to 1945. Millions of them became truckloads of ashes dumped in rivers and others covered up in mass graves after horrible suffering and brutal murder.
I wouldn't even try now to identify who that "elect" might be. It's subject to interminable interpretation and all identities are suspect. If I have a choice or protectors, give me a well trained Seal Team any day.
"God always protects His elect" in VERY mysterious ways, LOL!
ReplyDeleteI know...."hide me in the grave until thy wrath be passed," is a great apologetic for "God protects his elect."
ReplyDeleteM.T.Graves
"God always protects his elect."
ReplyDeleteThat's one of those memes we repeat in hope that it is true. It is not of course and anyone with eyes to see can see that.
That was a sincerely naive statement BB. While you have gone from believer to non and back to believer, I wonder if you have learned anything.
Nope, I stand by what I wrote, and it's not at all naive. And, yes, I've read Eusebius and know about the massive number of martyrs in the early centuries of Christianity. I guess this all relates to how one defines protection. To me, protection is long-term, and sometimes encompasses the physical and physical well-being, but also includes the spiritual. I enjoyed quite a bit of physical protection while I was a non-believer, having nearly been killed or nearly seriously injured about twenty times last time I counted them up. God's love for me even during my prodigal time became a reason for me to love Him and appreciate His character even more (in retrospect) now that I am a believer.
ReplyDeleteKnow the old seminar technique used to generate trust? The one where you are instructed to deliberately fall backwards, and to trust a person in your group to catch you? That's the way I see my life now, because I know that if anything were to happen to me at this point, God will catch me, even if it means bringing me home to Him. Childlike attitude? I certainly hope so, because that's what Jesus taught the disciples to have. Naive is not always a pejorative.
You can say a lot about the Holocaust and the Jews. I think at a certain point, it begins to demean the memory of those who died to try to analyze possible beliefs or spiritual conditions, or to consider whether some might have been Messianic Jews, etc. The Holocaust was the final catalyst for the rebirth of Israel as a nation, a fact evident to all except holocaust denyers. If you believe in prophecy, then you know that the existence of Israel as a nation is a required prerequisite for the fulfillment of the end time prophecies in the book of Revelation.
People like me bugged me something awful about ten years ago. But, when you stop and think about it, if these blogs and forums didn't exist, what else in an ACOG-atheist or agnostic's life could prompt him or her to even think of Father God or Jesus Christ?
BB
If scripture is to be believed, God elects far more people than most proselytizers assert.
ReplyDeleteThis is hilarious about God's supposed elect!
