Dave said many weeks ago that three COG leaders would all be killed buy God on August 31, 2013. Now he seems to temper that remark by saying they can be hidden, made desolate or concealed. If death does not happen he will claims God has hidden them from the truth.
Zechariah 11:8: “Three shepherds also I cut off in one month; and My soul lothed them, and their soul also abhorred Me.”
Now the second culminating event. We saw the “shepherds” throughout Zechariah cannot be religious leaders overseeing congregations (flocks) in the world. Otherwise, which “three” ministers would it be referencing? We could never know. And what would the removal of ANY three worldly ministers, occurring in ANY particular month, ever have to do with God being able to feed a flock that was being slaughtered? Remember, we saw this flock is His flock. No matter how influential any three worldly ministers were, their removal from power would not affect GOD’S PEOPLE. Protestant ministers and Catholic priests are not deceiving God’s people. Do you know a single person who thinks they are?
An overview of key phrases provides clues. Verse 8 describes men whom God loathes and who also abhor Him—even though we saw they say “Blessed be the Lord.” Loathed can also mean “to dock off, curtail…especially to harvest…cut down…lothe, reap (-er), (be, wax) short (-en, -er)…” Abhorred means “to loathe…abhor, get hastily.” The phrase “one month” is easily understood by just recalling Haggai, which describes events taking place in the sixth month—in time for God’s people to keep the Feast of Tabernacles together in the seventh month. “Cut off” can also be translated “to destroy: conceal, cut down (off), desolate, hide.” The meaning is obvious.
What I want to know, is why would God stop at three? Why not kill off the entire false and toxic movement? That's how He dealt with similar situations in the Old Testament. No baby in the Armstrong bathwater!
