Bitter Bob is being deceptive to his members with the following comments. He wants them to think he has hundreds of thousands of interested non-COG people clamoring all over his words. Many of Bitter Bob's visitors are one shot wonders. They come to him from various "Examiner" articles, his writings on Fatima and other Catholic topics, and prophecy. He draws Catholics for the first few paragraphs and then loses them when they see how anti-Catholic he is. His "Examiner" articles take various news items and then twists into perverted prophecy comparisons or Mayan drivel. Again, these are all one hit wonders. He is right about one thing though. Many of his visitors are not COG members. They are ex members that visit from links on this site. Bitter Bob needs to thanks us for his increases in hits periodically!
But, I would like to comment that, as you all have probably noticed, in the sermons I make statements which suggest that I am often speaking to an audience that is NOT part of the Continuing Church of God. A main reason why I do so is that the majority of those who watch our sermons are not part of CCOG.Bitter Bob next admits his listeners are NOT sending in money to him. A "great majority" of his listeners do not send him money. His African contacts he has been all a twitter over and not money producing either. They know a cash cow when they see one. Most of the people in Thiel's group in Africa have jumped from one COG to the next. Who ever has the fullest purse gains their loyalty.
And this is true even of our offertory messages. The great majority of those who watch the Holy Day offering videos do not provide any offering. So, when I make statements in sermons that you figure that everyone in CCOG should know, please understand that most who will watch the sermons are not part of CCOG and many have never been part of any Church of God group.A few paragraphs later he writes this absurd statement:
Finally received a report from Google related to April 2014 results. Between our small Google ad program as well as our multiple websites, we reached over 2,000,000 computers in April 2014. While we always wish to reach more, we are reaching millions. The time will come when the number will reach closer to one or more billions as we get closer to the end time.If little tiny Bitter Bob can garner 2,000,000 hits a month, then what does that say about Meredith and Pack? They have far more money and reach far more people. If they cannot reach BILLIONS already why does Bitter Bob feel HE and HE ALONE will be doing a far greater outreach? Talk about delusional!
Then Bitter Bob lets slip a few more lines of information that lets the world know he is hurting financially.
Due to his COG personality cult start-up he has had to stop taking in "patients" for his homeopathic snake oil sales. That has cut his income also. Add to that they humongous lack of tithes and offerings coming in, things are getting rough in Arroyo Grande.
You would think that with such an earth girdling ministry that his reaching millions and millions of people each month that he could at least afford high speed Internet at his
Things are so bad with the Bitter Overseer that he may not be able to print his his next letter and mail it.
Paper, Envelopes and stamps cost money brethren! Send it in or I will NOT mail you my earth shattering letters!
If your internet connection is still too slow (as my home one is) and/or you prefer audio messages to audio-visuals ones, go to the YouTube link for the message, click on SHOW MORE related to the description.
Like the Apostle Paul, we are not particularly entertaining speakers, but do try to declare the testimony of God to our people and those in the world.Rod Meredith must be having a field day!
Note: There is a small chance that next week, this letter will not be emailed to those who have requested it. If you do not receive it by Friday, May 30, 2014, there should be a version available at the Letters to the Brethren link at the CCOG.org website.
Does Bitter Bob really sell (or at least used to be involved in selling) homeopathic medicine? Anyone who is involved in selling homeopathic cures knows he is selling tap water as though it were medicine. He has to know what is and is not in the bottles. Just that alone should alert one to the fact that this man should NOT be trusted.
ReplyDeleteIt's one thing to say you've "reached 2 million computers" with an hour long sermon video. It doesn't mean that it's true. Even if it is, it doesn't mean 2 million people watched any more than the first few seconds of it. Does Bitter Bob realize that 1 billion is 500x more than 2 million? What supports the notion that Bitter Bob will ever get 500x more people than already don't watch his crappy videos to suddenly start not watching his crappy videos?
Bitter Bob is a licensed "naturopath" who peddles homeopathic remedies. In an online write up (that he wrote about himself) he says:
ReplyDelete"Robert Thiel possesses doctorates in nutrition science and natural health. He is also a traditional naturopath, herbalist, dietetic consultant, and research scientist. He is not a medical doctor, nor California licensed. He has written five books, as well as research studies, for doctors and other health professionals."
His narcissistic behavior with his splinter cult is also evident here where he is also the worlds greatest and most published "Dr." ever!
“Dr. Thiel has the highest published success rate of any natural health professional in the entire United States”.

"Doctorsresearch" is owned by Bitter Bob.
ReplyDeleteThis prophet disease of his is apparently taking on some of the same side effects as alcoholism or drug addiction. Why would anyone send him tithes and offerings to enable that? I'm thinking train wreck just ahead???
ReplyDeleteAre there any homeopathic mental hospitals in the Central California coastal area?

Apparently some of his members have been questioning his constant reminders of topics that COG members are supposed to know.
ReplyDeleteMany ACOG fanatics are deeply into just that part of Armstrongism that excites them and makes them feel special, but are very weak on the broad sweep of HWA's teachings. That's usually easy for a fanatic to conceal, unless he decides to become a teacher. Now, as a teacher, it is becoming more and more obvious just how little the Improperly Teaching Bob actually knows outside his special focus of prophetic chronology.
For example, he teaches that those who receive Social Security should tithe on "about half" of it, because for most workers who aren't self-employed there's a 50% employer contribution.
Talk about placing a heavy burden on a Christian! BibleGod will apparently send a Thielite to the Lake of Fire, unless the Thielite has successfully understood the tax code, employer withholding, maximum contributions, taxable limits, etc. to ensure that he isn't robbing BibleGod (and Thiel) of tithes.
Note, by the way, that this is a "new teaching" that HWA/WCG never taught. Either you tithed on ALL of your Social Security, or you tithed on NONE of it. The improper idea that you should tithe on "about half" is probably the result of Thiel's self-employed status, since he pays his own "employer contribution" and improperly envies those whose employers are required to pay a 50% contribution on their behalf.
Most members of the Church of God Seventh Day today barely know the name Herbert Armstrong as whispers on the wind, let alone some splinter of a splinter upstart who barely exists.
ReplyDeleteAnd if that's the case, you can imagine the irrelevance in the rest of the world for these tiny splinters.
For all intents and purposes, Thiel doesn't exist and that is a bitter pill for him to swallow.
Add this reason to why some people become atheists >Robert Thiel<
ReplyDeleteGary,
ReplyDeleteWhen Thiel writes :
"Finally received a report from Google related to April 2014 results. Between our small Google ad program as well as our multiple websites, we reached over 2,000,000 computers in April 2014. While we always wish to reach more, we are reaching millions. The time will come when the number will reach closer to one or more billions as we get closer to the end time."
This is not how many people who clicked on his ads. This number represents how many times the ad was displayed during someones Google search.
Say you type in "herbert w armstrong" in a google search. There are ads displayed on the right. How many time do you even look at those? How many times do you click on those? If your like me, seldom do I look, even less do I click on them.
Then there is the cost of a click. To get the magic number you make a bid per click. It may be 25 cents per click. Times this by 2 million and you come up with $500,000.00
2000000.00 X .25 = 500000
Now if Bob gets a billion displayed ads someday it will cost nothing. You have to click on the ad to have it count as a hit.
So as you can see, Thiel is a lying charlatan. A deceptive man without honor.
BB asks:
ReplyDelete"Are there any homeopathic mental hospitals in the Central California coastal area?"
Yes there just happens to be one! Its called California Men's Colony outside San Luis Obispo
or
Atascadero State Hospital. It is a men's facility for those that have a mental health issues.

MY COMMENT - I have never heard of this absurd COG tithing practice before. So, does this mean the Thielite tithes 50% on Social Security income and then can turn around and ask Bob Thiel's Continuing Church of God for 3rd Tithe assistance to make up for the short fall since few can retire and live comfortably on social security?
A broader question would be "Does anybody send 3rd Tithes to Bob Thiel's Church?"
I believe the anonymous poster is correct. My recollection of WCG under founder Herbert Armstrong was that Social Security was tithed at 100% and later changed (long after I left the Church but heard from family sources) to tithing on none of it. Social security does what 3rd tithe is suppose to do - except it is your own money the government withholds. The employer contribution to social security is a government mandated cost of doing business.
By taxing members (ooops, I mean tithing) 50% of their social security payments, Bob Thiel is "nickel and diming" the most vulnerable of the "dumb sheep". These are the people who spent a lifetime invested in building the Worldwide Church of God throughout their productive lifetimes - tithes, offerings, special offerings, Holy Day offerings, and contributions to the all important building fund to build building on Ambassador College even though the world as we knew it was about to end in the Great Tribulation and the return of Jesus Christ. All this effort with little or no results results - all so little Joey Tkach could someday inherit the Church, spit on Herbert Armstrong's legacy, and become a multi millionaire.
Tithing on 50% of social security is an absurd sign of hidden greed. When will the "dumb sheep" ever learn?
Richard
Bob correctly notes:
ReplyDelete"Like the Apostle Paul, we are not particularly entertaining speakers, but do try to declare the testimony of God to our people and those in the world. -
It's not about being "entertaining" and being entertaining is not the probem. The problem is being correct, terribly unbalanced and delusional about one's place in the cosmos.
I suppose just as Bob's God, "tries" to get our attention with weather, so too does Bob, "try" to get the message out. All this trying is so weird and weak.
I wonder if those headed to the just made up to motivate ya Lake of Fire get to tell the angry and vengeful God, "hey..I tried to understand, the least you can do is try to forgive me ..."
Someone threw in the "not many wise men now are called" concept to cover up for the lack of teaching skills, believable content and more common than not..."oops...well I thought that is what the Bible meant.." It also explains why critically thinking adults are not drawn to myths and fairy tales as if they were true. That's the job of the weak and foolish of the world who end up in organized confusion following foolish men who seem to make it all up as they go.
If Bob Thiel had about 2 million regular viewers, in fact if any of the ACOG charlatans had 2 million regular viewers, they would be as popular as "South Park", and their shtick would be passing into the public lexicon, making some sort of cultural impact. If that were to happen, then perhaps they could describe themselves as getting some sort of message out.
ReplyDeleteAs it is, cumulatively, Theil and his cohorts are the proverbial tree falling in some distant and inaccessible forest. Or analogous to the activities of Butters' alter ego, Professor Chaos.
When the terms "Laodicean" and "Philadelphian" become as well known as Mr. Hankey and Towelie, when you mention Thiel and there is instant recognition just as when you mention Cartman (although Cartman's physiology is more reminiscent of HWA) then these boasts of Thiel's will have some basis in fact. Flurry and Pack must become as well known as Terrence and Phillip (hah! their message is of nearly equal value!)
The reason I use South Park as a benchmark of comparison is that, like Armstrongism, South Park's themes are also normally offensive to certain mainstream types. In fact, Rod Meredith (Thiel's discarded mentor) and LCG could very easily be described as the Armstrong version of South Park, considering his legendary outrageous diatribes about homosexuality and masturbation. If Rod were a guest on the show, he'd probably spend the entire show under a spell induced by Mephisto, and blasting Mr. Garrison.
No, these guys and their delusions of prophetic grandeur haven't quite made it yet. They can throw a party, but their message and charisma are insufficient to get massive numbers of people to attend.
BB
Using a curbside "Sign Twirler" would be far more effective in reaching people than the techniques and approach Bob is currently using.
ReplyDeleteBitter Bob wrote: "...A main reason why I do so is that the majority of those who watch our sermons are not part of CCOG..."
ReplyDeleteWell, duh! Bitter Bob just proves that he has nothing to do with God's Church: God's sheep.
What was it the Head of God's Church asked His servant, Peter, to do with God's Church, who would be sealed by God's Spirit?
John 21:15 "...Feed my lambs."
Huh?
:16 "He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? ... Feed my sheep.
But what about those non-Church people?
:17 "He saith unto him the third time ... Feed my sheep."
Besides Bob, don't you preach, like those of other groups & associations, that it is the 2 witnesses responsibility to reach this world with some sort of a worldwide message?
Also, Bob, if you aren't really feeding God's sheep, then shouldn't you be elsewhere ... someplace wherever it may be where God's sheep are being fed.
I too agree that God's sheep aren't being spiritually feed by those in Living, United, etc...but nor is anyone being fed proper spiritual food by your group of "Continuing" group...
If you do find those of God's Church and you are able to yield to God there you will be a lot less frustrated than to be out there striving to do your own thing...what seems right in your own eyes in something you think is just "continuing." If God's Church exists, then it's been around for about 2,000 years now. So, what are you doing breaking off from Living to form some continuing? It seems logical that God's Church would already exist and be continuing as it has since it began the day Christ was baptized and He received God's Spirit to dwell within Him continually from that day forward.
Well, someone had to be its first member. Who else should be that first member? On that first Pentecost God just ADDED more members to His, God's, Church...
John
I like sheep. We ran about 150 breeding ewes on our North Dakota ranch. They're interesting creatures, but totally defenseless against a coyote or wolf, and all religious "leaders" who fancy themselves shepherds over "god's sheep" are more like coyotes and wolves than any conscientious shepherd. I don't like that comparison anymore.

In theory, yes.
