For the last several months David C Pack has been holed up in his fourth floor office bandaging the humiliating wounds after his epic prophetic failure in the Fall of 2013. Tens of thousands of Church of God members did not flock to his personality cult, the Restored Church of God. Three COG leaders did NOT die, and millions and millions of dollars did not flow into RCG's coffers.
Dave must fear that this epic failure will bring the crazies out of the woodwork to persecute him. All of his buildings now have cameras on the outside in order that his security team can monitor all visitors and unworthy church members on the property.
In some of the businesses I work, I am under surveillance. The systems were not set up specifically to monitor me, but to keep an eye on production trends, detect employee theft, and boost the overall efficiency of the particular operations.
ReplyDeleteHowever, leaders of church organizations, if they actually do believe that their closeness to God, their mentoring, and their spiritual guidance leads to their people receiving the Holy Spirit, and if they believe that events in their work place are controlled by God, with occasional attacks from Satan, then it is both ridiculous and indicative of a severe lack of faith to monitor the premises with surveillance!
Again, we have proof that the leaders of the ACOGs are actually atheists. Armstrongism causes atheism, another reason why I've always said that there is a big difference between dispassionate "science" atheists, and WCG atheists!

David C. PacKoresh.
ReplyDeleteIt could be he's looking for those masses of people that are supposed to come soon....
ReplyDeleteOr, maybe, as Byker Bob points out, as in some businesses, the security is to check that employees don't make off with the Steuben Crystal -- not that the cameras would actually catch that, mind you. I'm also with Byker Bob in his assessment that the leaders of the ACoGs are actually atheists. This would explain why Herbert Armstrong travelled with hired armed guards with real loaded weapons. It's because he couldn't trust in God because he didn't really believe in Him. Otherwise, he might have feared to have coffee and a donut (or two or 3 or 4) on the Day of Atonement. The WCG also was reported at one time to have produce 40,000 atheists, although I don't know how the atheists came to this conclusion because I've never seen any sort of survey.
Or maybe it's paranoia. Irrational fears of persecution.
It's in the DSM-5.
Check it out.
Although, you know, now that David C. Pack has proved beyond a reasonable doubt that he is a false prophet, maybe it would be more worthwhile if he pointed all the cameras upward....
They are used by the high-budget Grounds & Garden dept to monitor for Dandelions on the incredible acres & acres of undulating lawn. Hold onto your wallets, Doesn't come cheap!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Byker Bob. Where is all this faith they are always blaming their members that THEY have lack of??
ReplyDeleteI remember Gerald Flurry saying "We must develop "relaxed faith". In other words he was saying they do not have relaxed faith. I don't believe they have faith at all, just the same drive and ambition so called worldly people have scheming to come up with more ways to extort money from people to further their agenda.
Pack forgets that there are "cameras" on him from above.
ReplyDeleteExactly, he denies the power thereof and that is why he has these cameras. He is playing God.

HWA had all several rooms in the Academic Center and the Hall of Ad bugged so he could listen in on his loyal servants. Wonder if Dave's palace is bugged.

I was a member for a very short period of time and attended one of their ministerial conferences. They spend part of the day going over security issues on protecting mr. Elijah. I could never understand if his job was so important to all humanity why God would let somebody take him out. At the feast no one could set within two rows on any side of him. Most didn't know, but there were "special" people flanked on all sides. He came in certain doors and was escorted out certain doors. Really crazy!

If we sideline ethics, faith, and trust in the Spirit of God, basically, this surveillance becomes just another way for them to play God. And, of course, it is just as fake as their "prophecy", the healings they claim, and their titles. They would like to be omniscient and omnipotent, but have two terminal problems. 1). They lack the wisdom of God. 2). Unlike God, they cannot see what is in the hearts of the surveilled. So, basically, they can take on some of God's attributes, but this goes nowhere, because they are left clueless as to what to do with these attributes.
