UCG Finally Lets A Local Church Area Buy Its Own Building Sendng James Malm Into A Royal Snitfest

For decades the Church of God has rented halls to meet in.  From schools, movie theaters, pron theaters, Elks Lodges and Masonic Temples, are the gamete of meeting places.  It was also the cowardly way to meet.  Instead of being a light in the midst of the cities they met in, they hid away in places a normal person looking for a church would never venture into.  On top of that, most COG halls were run like mini concentration camps.  Guards were at the doors to keep the truly blessed inside untainted from the world with attendance taken weekly to see who was being a slackard.

When Herbert Armstrong attached his wagon to the religion circus in the mid 1930's, itinerant tent meetings were all the rage.  The traveling preachers were without regular church homes and spread out across the country waging their battles against Satan.

Armstrong never liked the church halls because he wanted the money for himself to use to get his "gospel" out to the world.  Money regularly flowing into a local church building for mortgages, upkeep and other expenses was money out of his pocket.  He demanded that all members send in money to HQ where they "lovingly" returned a small portion to "feed the flock."  The majority of the money stayed in Pasadena where grandiose buildings were built to impress the heathen world and to pump up Armstrong's purpose driven ego.

United recently allowed a local church area to buy their own building.  This is not their first foray into local church ownership.  UCG had one previously in Bluefield, West Virginia, bought and paid for by a local member.  The UCG members thought they had it made, until they learned that the building had been bought by stolen bank money that a UCG parishioner had embezzled from the bank she managed.  The government stepped in and confiscated the building from UCG.

UCG writes about the new building:

This church building was being sold by a pastor whose congregation had diminished in size for various reasons. With almost no interest on the market, our pastor, Ed Dowd, contacted the owner and he offered us an interest-free purchase at a very good price. Mr. Dowd worked with Ministerial and Member Services, our legal department and the treasurer to obtain Council of Elders authorization for the purchase. After negotiations, building inspections and due diligence, the offer was accepted and a contract written. The building is located at 901 West 63rd St South, Haysville, Kansas, and sits on about three standard size lots on the edge of a housing development and has a paved parking lot.
The purchases includes all fixtures and personal property on the premises free and clear of all liens and encumbrances, including:

* Everything needed to maintain the lawn, including mowers and tools 

* High quality padded chairs 

* Refrigerator and stove 

* Speakers and projection screen 

* Other miscellaneous folding tables, metal chairs and storage racks 

* Stage decor including a wooden service table and lectern 

* Baptistery

The sales price was $70,000–of which $65,000 is financed interest-free over 8 years–resulting in a monthly payment less than our former rent, leaving funds for utilities and maintenance. This is one of the main considerations when purchasing a local church building–the monthly payment for rent, utilities and maintenance must compare favorably to the cost of renting a hall. Records show taxes at less than $20 per year because of former and current church use.

This new building has sent James Malm into one of his regular snitfests.

An excellent deal along with a false prophetic view has enticed UCG into a long term view and they are now in the market to purchase properties.  

When Islamic extremism is largely defeated and a peace deal is proclaimed, these COG groups will likely simply claim that they are right and more time is needed, so lulling their brethren to sleep as the urgency of the times.

While Flurry and Pack use God’s money to build memorials to their idols; UCG is now in the business of buying properties.  

This deal is very good and is a strong temptation for them to think that they are being blessed for their righteousness, as they turn further and further AWAY from any zeal for the righteousness of God as defined by God’s whole word.  

This deal is being judged by them as God’s blessing for their righteousness; when the precise opposite is true and Satan is encouraging them to continue in their sins, so that Christ will finally reject them and spue them out of his mouth [body] . 

So what is one of the things that has apostle Malm so upset?

They might use their kitchen stoves and refrigerators on Saturdays!  Oh noes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Or even worse, they might prepared food for a potluck between services on a high "holy" day.   God forbid if the smell of cooking food wafted into the church hall during a sermon!

A Malmite acolyte writes:

It’s not only united but I have witnessed congregations using the stoves in their hall kitchen equipment. Ministry even comment gladly on the smells whilst preaching.

Apparently true Christians bring and eat cold food.   No wonder they are all so constipated all the time.  Law vs grace.....

Bob Thiel: Satanists Use Toilet Paper, Should You?

Ok, Bob did not make the statement above BUT he did say that because Satanists keep birthdays you should not.  Satanists use toilet paper and eat red meat, should a REAL Christian do the same?  That is the logic behind Thiel's simplistic thinking.

Do you realize where the practice of birthday celebrations came from or how they are viewed by certain Satanists?

Back in 1969 Anton Lavey wrote The Satanic Bible. On page 96 (in the 1976 version) it mentions birthdays:

THE highest of all holidays in the Satanic religion is the date of one’s own birth. This is in direct contradiction to the holy of holy days of other religions, which deify a particular god who has been created in an anthropomorphic form of their own image, thereby showing that the ego is not really buried.

It is interesting that birthdays are considered one of the three the most important holiday to these Satan worshipers (the two others called Walpurgisnacht, and Halloween also have pagan ties and are observed by millions who claim to be Christian).

The Bible never encourages the celebration of birthdays. Instead, it tends to speak in a negative manner concerning them (cf. Matthew 14:6-11; Jeremiah 20:14-18).

Of course, early Christians did not celebrate birthdays nor did the early Jews. Nor have real Christians ever celebrated Halloween.

Thiel is forced to admit that there is NO prohibition on keeping birthdays.  It was all a figment of Herbert's imagination that brought about the hatred of birthdays in the church.  Delusional men like Thiel, Flurry and Pack continue the absurdity.

Now although there is no specific command against the celebration of birthdays in the Bible, the Jewish custom in those days was apparently based on the negative occurrences in the Bible surrounding birthdays, as well as the astrological implications of the celebration of birthdays (pagan practices, like astrology, were specifically prohibited in the law).

All I can say to Bob is to keep it up.  Between you, Dave Pack and Gerald Flurry, you all are bringing about the rapid demise of Armstrongism.  Your absurdities make all of you and the church look like fools.  I thank you,  Karl Theodor Freiherr von und zu Guttenberg thanks you, and Anton Lavey thanks you too.

Elder Abuse

The Philadelphia Church of God continues to sink lower and lower into the pig slop they are so comfortable living in.  What is described below is elder abuse and is prosecutable.  Its only a matter of time to till some PCG member has enough of Flurry's degenerate teaching and they sues the pants off him and his cult.

The following excerpt is from a letter on the Exit and Support site:

I became a member of this destructive group in August of 2003, but started attending in January of 2003. I, like many others, thought I had found the "true" church. I had known of Herbert Armstrong since the 1960s. But shortly after becoming a member, things started to bother me.

I had not been a member long when the no-contact rule1 started to emerge. This ruling states that anyone in a splinter group is Laodicean. Then they had some members cut off their own grown children if they were raised in the PCG and didn't come into the PCG [become a member]. From what I can gather from what I have experienced and seen and heard, it has nothing to do with "Laodiceans," only control. They are afraid of what can be found out from others that have exited and how cruel and deceitful the ministers can be.

Members in PCG are not above lying to get information. They try to turn one member against another. I was very dissatisfied with the PCG for years but stayed for the most part to help an elderly person that had been treated like a dog by the "church" and some of the members at the direction of the ministry. This person became very ill and was hospitalized for about 3 months. During that time they made a member their power of attorney. When this person came out of the hospital, they had no home, no car, and all of their personal possessions were gone. They did have some money from the sale of the home but certainly not enough to purchase another and ended up in senior housing. Things were given away or sold for far less than what they were worth. I could not believe how uncaring these people were. When this person talked to the ministry about it, they were told to "let it go."

This cult has no love in it except for the love of money and power! The ministry knows they are losing control and will stop at nothing to retain it. Keeping these people from contact of others that have exited by telling them that "the devil has gotten to these people that exit" is keeping them from the truth so the ministry can continue to lie to them. Deceit in the PCG is doctrine to them as far as I'm concerned. Like I have told others in the PCG, if God was as slow to forgive as the ministry, we would all be in trouble.

David C Pack: Spank Your Children So They Fear You And God

The Church of God has had a horrible reputation for child abuse over the decades because of its child rearing policies and booklets.  That abuse continues into the 21st century with David C Pack.

He advocates that you child should fear you just as they should fear his god.

God’s Way:

Spanking does end bad behavior. And yes, it does teach your children to fear you—just as God wants His children to fear Him. Consider the following scriptures: “Blessed is every one [who] fears the Lord, [who] walks in His ways” (Psa. 128:1).

“In the fear of the Lord is strong confidence…The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death” (Prov. 14:26-27).

“Then you shall say unto your son…the Lord commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the Lord our God, for our good always, that He might preserve us alive” (Deut. 6:21, 24).

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge” (Prov. 1:7).

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom” (9:10).

“The fear of the Lord prolongs days” (10:27).

“Blessed is the man that fears the Lord, that delights greatly in His commandments” (Psa. 112:1).

Spanking, done God’s Way, produces proper fear, respect—and trust.

Once again the law trumps grace and love.

When a child is repeatedly spanked it stunts their mental growth, academic performance and even eventually the types of jobs they will find.  A child repeatedly punished and made to feel worthless will never feel good enough for anything.  Armstrongism has created scores of adults who to this day feel they are "not good enough."

If you know me really well, you know that I have converted to the “no spanking” side of the argument. I used to be for spanking, and used it with my child. However, after attending a seminar* about it (which included a biblical scholar to explain the common verses frequently used to support spanking) and saw some global statistics about the use of spanking, I changed my mind. I did a complete 180 and now promote no corporal punishment.

From that seminar, I have learned that if parents stopped spanking, the research shows that it would increase:

• mental development
• academic performance in elementary school
• chances of completing a university degree
• occupational achievement and income

Another eye-opening statistic was that the larger the percent of children in a nation who were spanked, the larger the percent who hit a dating partner. For example, in Taiwan, the percentage of children who were spanked or hit a lot before age 12 is around 80%, and the assault total is around 40$. By contrast Sweden has about 20% of children spanked, and 20% hitting of a dating partner.
They gave four key reasons why children should NEVER be spanked:

• Spanking is not necessary.
• Spanking has harmful side effects.
• Spanking undermines long term effectiveness of parents
• Contradicts the ideal of the family as a place for love, not violence

Samuel Martin, who grew up in the Worldwide Church of God as the son of Earnest Martin, knows first hand what corporal punishment does to a child.  Martin now lives in Israel and has published a book on spanking, "They Rod and They Staff Comfort Me: Christians and the Smacking (Spanking) Controversy."

In no instance does the New Testament quote from any of the texts that are used to demonstrate that smacking is valid for today. There is no instance in any of the New Testament‟s 27 books that specifically refers to a child receiving any bodily punishment. The evidence shows that the New Testament writers were quite familiar with the whole of the book of Proverbs and quoted from numerous sections of it, but wholly avoided any passage mentioning the rod. Because of these facts, anyone who seeks to advocate for the idea that smacking is a New Testament teaching is standing on shaky theological and Scriptural ground. This is the plain information we find in the Bible itself.

David C Pack's lies about child punishment lie directly in the pit of the law.  Pack has placed the law above grace and the New Covenant.   Law keeps the flock in submission.  Law prohibits free thought.  Law controls every aspect of a persons life.

Why parents in the Restored Church of God continue to allow this man to tell them what to do with their children is beyond me.  Pack is just as sick as Gerald Flurry when it comes to the youth of his group.  He has instructed members to kick their children out of their homes and to shun them. He has young teenage sons spying on their parents and reporting back to him.  In doing so he rewards them with jobs in the Wadsworth cult compound. Dave becomes their new "parent" who controls their life with veiled threats.  They fear going against him at all costs.

 All this has done is created bitterness in the children he has forced out of homes.  Pack has literally destroyed hundreds of families and marriages over this topic. When will his members ever wake up and stop the abuse?

David C Pack Likes That Children Were Stoned To Death For Rebellious Attitudes

(This story has been making the rounds of several Facebook and other COG groups. One  horror story of abuse after  another is being told by people who were part of David C Pack's cult.  I also have been asked to bump this up for a few days.)



David C Pack has a booklet out on proper Child rearing, Train Your Children.  It is along the same line as the previous versions he plagiarized from that HWA and GTA put out in the Worldwide Church of God.  Pack feels he is the ultimate authority on the subject and boastfully says that God himself told Dave what to write.

There is not another book about childrearing like Train Your Children God’s Way. In fact, there has never been a volume about childrearing like this one. It is absolutely unique among all others on the subject. This vital book contains sorely needed information—revealed knowledge, straight from the plain Word of God!

Only Dave and his "ministers" are qualified to teach members how to rear their children.  Dave claims ALL authority to teach comes to him and his "ministers" directly from his god.

When God’s servants, those truly carrying His authority, teach the only way to properly rear children, most people would see it as meddling, not biblical instruction. This is because it hits close to home and becomes personal. And, like children, many simply do not want anyone—this includes God!—telling them what to do, even when they have no idea themselves.

This book is written for those who recognize that they do not have all the answers.

Within the Church that Christ built, the Eternal God has established His ministry to teach His Way of Life in all points.

One of the things Dave demands of his followers is that they MUST have children.  They are commanded to be "fruitful and multiply."  In other words, have as many children as possible because they will soon be gods and goddesses with their own little worlds to rule over.  Western civilization, and by this Dave actually means "white," is declining because of birth control and this is not a good thing for British Israelites to have to endure.

  When God brought Adam and Eve together in marriage, He instructed them to “be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth” (Gen. 1:28). Recognize that this instruction was actually a command from Him to have children, because the family unit is the human pattern picturing His own Divine Family. While this is a subject of other books and booklets—and I have written many explaining this pattern within God’s supreme purpose—it should at least be briefly acknowledged here in the context of the shrinking size of the average family in Western civilization.

Further on Dave jumps to spanking.  No silly little "love taps" for your kiddies!  Spank in such a way that they FEAR you!  A child trembling in fear is the way to go.

Yet, remember that discipline must never be merely “love taps” to a child or it will accomplish nothing. The child must know that spanking is something he or she does not want to experience—for any reason! This alone becomes a reason why spanking, done properly, usually becomes a rarity.

Then Dave gets to the real meat of the matter.  Dave appreciates that children in the Old Testament times were stoned to death for being rebellious.

 Is God’s Way Harsh?

Let’s momentarily examine how God dealt with rebellious teens in ancient Israel: “If a man have a stubborn and rebellious son, which will not obey the voice of his father, or the voice of his mother, and that, when they have chastened him, will not hearken unto them: then shall his father and his mother lay hold on him, and bring him out unto the elders of his city, and unto the gate of his place; and they shall say unto the elders of his city, This our son is stubborn and rebellious, he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton, and a drunkard. And all the men of his city shall stone him with stones, that he die: so shall you put evil away from among you; and all Israel shall hear, and fear” (Deut. 21:18-21).

Notice that God told the Israelites to actually put to death—execute!—teenagers who refused to obey their parents or respect authority.

This sounds harsh, even barbaric, in today’s world, but God understood what was at stake for His society if such a rotten attitude was unleashed upon it for an entire lifetime.

Understand that God set this standard to be an example. Upon witnessing such a graphic execution—and probably of one who was at least an acquaintance—how many teens would even think about rebelling against their parents? Few—if any! God’s punishment was actually merciful. And, in the end, it saved many lives, and resulted in many obedient, respectful teenagers. Very few would have to die, because they would not dare to break God’s Fifth Commandment—“Honor your father and mother”—if they knew it would have cost them their lives!

At that time, God carried out punishment within His Law very quickly. He did not waste months and years of trials, retrials, appeals and the like, as do the time-and-money-consuming courts of men. Unfortunately, mankind, cut off from God (Isa. 59:1-2), has not learned this lesson. Notice: “Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil” (Ecc. 8:11).

God moved swiftly to administer justice in a carnal-minded society, one whose citizens did not have His Holy Spirit. The ancient Israelites did not have the opportunity to repent spiritually—to change and grow from carnal ways to the ways of God.

Today, God administers justice in a spirit-minded society—His Church! True Christians do have the power of God’s Spirit dwelling in them to change from the “way that seems right unto a man” to the way that produces real peace and true happiness. Certainly, it is not God’s purpose to put Christians to death. In His mercy, He has given them an entire lifetime to change, grow and overcome—to develop His holy, righteous character (II Pet. 3:18).

If you plan on being in Dave's world tomorrow you had better be prepared for stoning.

Rev 23:5 - God Foretold Of A Huge Duck Invasion Followed By An Earthquake in Califronia

God's greatest prophet ever to live, E W King, claims to have a 100% accuracy rate and is posting today about marauding ducks terrorizing drivers.  This is a sure sign of the end times as nature becomes unbalanced and animals take over.  Satan obviously has taken over the minds of the ducks and is causing them to run amok in the land spreading disease and filth.  The true ducks of God would never be in such rebellion!

King also is predicting a major earthquake to happen very soon in California.  I could make the exact same prediction because earthquakes happen here all the time.
