Chief Pharisee Says End of 2017 Tribulation Starts and Jesus Comes in 2021

The Chief Pharisee of the Church of God continues to sit in his living room unemployed, on the dole from the Canadian government and supporters, pumping out endless deluded reinterpretations of scripture and making occasional prophetic utterances.

The Church of God's are so evil that his god is getting highly pissed and is ready to blot off the face of the earth the Saturday restaurant eaters and TV watchers.

James Malm's latest false prophecy is this:

...there will be 2300 days [years] until the sanctuary is cleansed and the destruction of the final seventh resurrection of the Holy Roman Empire of  Babylon as described in Dan 2, Dan 7.At a day for a year this 2300 days shall be 2300 years.  Provided the Calendar data is correct the highly probable year of the coming of Christ and the cleansing of the sanctuary is:  Coming forward 2300 years from 280 BC and adding 1 for year zero, arrives at spring 2021 AD,  when the sanctuary shall be cleansed by the coming of Jesus Christ. Now subtracting 42 months (1260 days) shows that this final beast emperor  will occupy Jerusalem, beginning at the end of 2017.Given the historical difficulties of the Greek struggles it is possible that this date might be in error by a year or two, but one thing is certain; IT IS VERY CLOSE INDEED!
Very close indeed....Yeah right.  These COG false prophets have been predicting this malarkey for 80 some years now

Britain is highly likely to leave the EU, but exactly how long that process takes is unclear; and certain other countries are likely to follow, creating a crisis in the EU and opening the way for the setting up of the miracle working deceiver in the Vatican in late 2017, who will immediately call for and bring about the  rise of a New Europe; the seventh revival of the Scarlet Beast of the Holy Roman Empire. This man of sin will then go to the Holy Place [Temple Mount] 75 days after being set up in the Vatican and the great tribulation of Mat 24:15 will begin. Along with this is the coming defeat of radical Islam and a move towards a Mideast peace deal 1 Thess 5:3.These events are right in line with a date of late 2017 for the start of the tribulation; followed by the coming of Messiah 42 months later; in 2021 AD!
Brethren, the writing is on the wall!

Liar!

  5. The first step in becoming "right" would be to acknowledge that the Armstrong prophecy mold failed in 1975, and that British Israelism has been totally and ignominiously debunked. So you scrap the basic model and look for more accurate answers. As it is, all of these guys assume that the only thing requiring a little tweaking is the numbers. They perpetuate a falsehood worse than William Miller ever did!

C'mon, guys! Christopher Columbus sailed to the new magic land hundreds of years ago, proving that the world is round! Quit pretending that it is flat already!

  6. It would serve Malm and the entire COG from the splinters of UCG and RCG to the slivers of PCG and RCG to understand that the Book of Daniel was unknown to the canon until the mid 2nd century BCE. It was written in the 160's to encourage the Maccabeans to keep up the fight against Rome and it would all work out. The story of Daniel is a legend brought out to encourage folks in a difficult time. Of course, like the Book of Revelation, which drew on Daniel for inspiration, and meant to encourage the Jewish Christians to keep up the fight against Rome too, it all worked out the same. Rome won.

Daniel was seen as so accurate not because it was prophecy coming alive but rather history already past prophesied. Good trick and a common one. It's the same reason the Gospel stories of Jesus birth and death seem so accurately to have come to pass as predicted in the OT. The story of Jesus was written by "searching the scriptures" and making the new story like the old old ones. The new stories were written from the Old scriptures which would make them seem so "and thus it was fulfilled." Matthew plays this game one better by making all his "fulfillments" mean what the OT never actually meant. Had Matthew actually known Jesus birth circumstances, he'd not have reached so far back into the OT to cobble together a story that he liked. Luke came up with a different story and it's obvious neither read the other's. Both birth stories were probably added to the texts later when there was a need to fight the "we weren't born of fornication" scandals going around about Jesus birth circumstances.

The 12th chapter of Daniel from which Malm and others draw their numbers games from is much more vague because it speculates about a future it does not actually know but assures the reader "and then a whole bunch of other stuff happens and it all works out." The 11th chapter is so very specific because the author already knew all the details, now past, of the events they "predict."

What would a COG, splinter or sliver be without Daniel and Revelation ???? Nothing...nothing at all.

  7. Malm writes: 'Britain is highly likely to leave the EU, but exactly how long that process takes is unclear; and certain other countries are likely to follow, creating a crisis in the EU'

Malm is reading the headlines of the media much like Herbie did in the 20's and 30's. http://www.hwarmstrong.com/eu-papers/stolen_ideas.htm

True, the Brits may leave the EU and should. Hopefully it does lead to the breakup of a nation community that is ruled by a council that is reminiscent of the Soviet Politburo. The EU is a marriage made in hell and had turned out to be much like a communist ruling body.

With that said, Malm is trying to get something right as to prophecy and if he gets this right he will proclaim his proficiency as a prophet and gain a following.

    So he thinks.

For you with a religious inclination, know that even the devil knows what is to soon happen. How do you know he is not of the evil one?

For the rest of us, we realize that men will do anything to gain a following. It is the road to wealth and of honor among the deceived to worship such men and give their life blood to such.

  8. I'd like to know in detail how he arrives at this date. We worldwiders and the JWs had it all figured out to come to a head in the 1970s and Christ to return in 1975. I had an elaborate chart on my desk that I personaly drew up a few years prior based on the nonsense in Daniel. When that all fell through, it was the beginning of my realization that it was all a stupid made up mess. A few of us finally realized we'd been had real bad and voted with our feet.

  9. Dennis,

I remember being in the AC Pasadena gym one sabbath when GTA casually mentioned that some so-called scholars said the reason parts of Daniel seemed so accurate was that it had been written AFTER the events it described. My reaction was, "Oh sh*t! That makes sense." It had never occurred to me that such might be the case and served as a stimulus for me to begin examining other assumptions I had made up to that point. Hard to believe now that I was so naive back then.

I, too, believe in the second coming, but I do not believe in James Malm.

The second coming is a highly flubbed topic, so be careful what you wish for. You can hear a multitude of worth-less-than-nothing opinions on it even just within the COG crowd of guessers and fibbers. Is that really how you want to waste your life?

The reason why there are a multitude of worth-less-than-nothing opinions is that each one of these false prophets is led off in a different direction by a different evil, lying spirit. If evil spirits know the truth about the future, they certainly are not sharing it, in spite of Bob Thiel's careless assumption that they know it and share it in pagan prophecies. I do not believe in Bob Thiel either. Note well that the very reason why many people are called false prophets is because their predictions are simply false, not because they are true.

Personally, I would like to hear just one correct explanation of things.

  13. Good points, Dennis.

You'd think that a god who would give a book to his flock would be a bit more discriminating with the accuracy of such a book, and not have it laden with so much bullcrap.
I've come across an apologetic which goes something like this: "The Lord filled the Bible with bullcrap so He could find His 'Bestest Buddies' who are so clever and righteous that they can navigate around the bullcrap."

Of course, it all comes tumbling down to the fact that it's a humanly alluring thing to think of one's self as having an "in" with whichever deity deemed to be true.

Not only are there those COG ministers who love Rev and Daniel, but also many moronic mainstream megachurch manipulative moneyhungry Christian ministers- many of whom offer books and DVDs on the subject.

BTW- Your last sentence reminded me of the punchline of a joke Gerald Waterhouse sometimes told during his longwinded sermons-
It went like this: "During one of my sermons, a boy turned to his father and whispered, 'Daddy, what does it mean when Mr Waterhouse takes off his watch and sets it on the podium in front of him?' The father smiled and responded, 'Nothing, son...nothing at all.' "

  14. Will Lie For Money

Apo$tate Malm keeps reading the same passages in Daniel 8 or 12, and every year or two he re-calculates a new date for the return of jesus christ that's a rolling 9-24 months in the future. As history has shown, there's no shortage of ways to "calculate" this, so as to "prove" any pre-supposed target date of your choosing (one which will inevitably be proven wrong, once again, when nothing happens). Profit Malm has been uttering this specific soon-to-be-proven-false prophecy since last October, but this is only the latest re-jiggering to keep his acolytes financially attentive. Next October, when no tribulation begins, Profit Malm will just bring forward the time by the necessary amount that he now needs to say the empire of Alexander was divided, and then simply reissue the updated prophecy once more, to be proven wrong within 9-24 months from then.

A year earlier, his prophetic utterances help fill in the blanks of his current parlor trick when taken together with the latest version of his fear gospel. In October 2014 he was using the 2300 days prophecy of Daniel 8 when he wrote:
"The 2,300 day prophecy reveals that the sanctuary will be cleansed 2,300 years after the empire of Alexander is divided into four parts; cleansed by the coming of Christ. The difficulty lies in determining the date that the empire became four parts and the start of the prophecy. The year of the division of Alexander’s empire into only four parts has now finally become clear and the coming of Christ is to be expected according to the Prophecy of God in 2020...There is an extremely high probability (at least 90%) that Christ will come in early 2020 and that the abomination will be set up in the Vatican in early Oct 2016 with the tribulation beginning by the end of 2016."

He didn't even wait for it to be falsified before retooling this one. Profit Malm's current version claims the Macedonian empire was divided neatly and cleanly in 280 BCE. However, the Diadochi period of civil wars following Alexander's death in 323 BCE lasted from 322 until 275 BCE, a period of 47 years of unrest and instability, and to boil that down to a single year to begin his countdown is merely to capitalize on the vagaries of history, and to employ a deceitful and self-serving misreading of the past. For the exalted Profit to settle on the year 280 is a matter of convenience as arbitrary as it is temporary. It doesn't take a rocket surgeon to deduce that Malm's above prediction hinged entirely on the selection of the year 281 BCE. Next year perhaps he'll settle on year 279 BCE in order to keep his readers suitably trembling in fear. In five more years, however, we'll be beyond the envelope of the Diadochi period and he'll have to arbitarily revert to using only the 1290 days prophecy of Daniel 12, in order to continue to preach his message of imminent doom and gloom.

Now, you can find Profit Malm's false prophecies reblogged at other places like here at Banned!, but if you attempt to click-through using the links in those posts back to Malm's blog, even ones within the limited range of archives the great and powerful Oz keeps around, all you will find is a deleted page! I guess Profit Malm isn't interested in keeping all the "truth" he writes, only the "truth" that isn't quite so obviously bullshit. But this is not news. Malm has been carefully censoring the comments he'll allow ever since he began his blog. Any question, insight, or statement that "shines a light" on how intellectually bankrupt he is will NOT be allowed, even when those statements are his own embarrassing blog posts. The Chief Phari$ee's deceit alone tells you all you need to know about him.

The previous three versions of his prophetic utterances seemingly arbitrarily employed Daniel 12 instead as the instrument of his fearmongering:

In May & July 2013 he prophesied:
"It now looks highly probable that war will break out between now and late summer, and that it will result in a serious crisis in Europe, that will set the conditions for the abomination to be empowered and for the ten nations to come together. Once the abomination is empowered and performing miracles, the great tribulation will begin at about 75 days later, when he goes to the Holy Mount to declare that peace and safety have been achieved." ... "The start of the tribulation is possible in 2013 and highly probably in 2014."

In August 2012, it was this:
"...Since the name Benedict numbers out to 666 in the Koine Greek of Revelation, it is quite possible that Pope Benedict may be strengthened and empowered to do miracles, being set up as the abomination in mid September...I have speculated that the tribulation could begin this year saying that there was as much as an 80% possibility."

In April 2011 it was this:
"The resurrection will take place late on the sixth day of Unleavened Bread: The proof of this will be clear if the abomination is set up 1,290 days Dan 12, counting back from a future sixth day of unleavened Bread! For example: if the sixth day of Unleavened Bread were to be counted back from 2015; and if my count is accurate; and if the sixth day (April 10, 2015) is accurate with an accurate calculation of the new moon: Then the abomination would be set up on 28 Sep of this year. If the new moon calculation or my count is not correct then the abomination shouid be set up within a few days of 28 Sep."

Apparently he's been doing this since at least 2007, which would mean next year Profit Malm can boast of an entire decade of utter lunacy.

I love how Profit Malm is always careful to include the boilerplate wiggle room language of various provisos and terms like, "this is only an example," "my speculation," or "highly probable." He has no idea what the word "probable" even means. Probabilities are a ratio derived from counting data points. An 80% chance of rain today means when weather patterns look like they do today, 80% of the time it rains, and 20% of the time it doesn't. Events that have NEVER occurred cannot EVER be considered "probable" (>50%) simply because there are no hits to count! Apo$tate Malm can, however, insert made-up numbers, such as 80%, which are nothing more than the product of his own biased "feelings," and then pretend he arrived at a numerical percentage through some rational means, even though all he did was dress up his personal thoughts and biases in a lab coat. If we were to actually calculate the probability that the Chief Phari$ee's longed-for "tribulation" might begin in the fall of 2017, or any other specific date, the mathematics can only arrive at a probability of 0%. It's simply the result of counting all the hits [hint: zero] and all the misses! And this two-step is all so that he can peddle the fear while maintaining the facade that he's not a liar or a "prophet" despite the fact he is both.

And with no small amount of irony, Profit Malm once condemned others as being false prophets while describing himself to a "T":

"A false prophet is someone who decides for himself to stand up and speak and to presumptuously declare that his word;, his own words, his own ideas, his own thoughts; are the word of God. He is presumptuously saying, my words are God’s word. He stands up and says, this is God speaking to you today through me. And then he proceeds to lie in the name of the Lord… A false prophet is an abomination. A presumptuous man who says that he is speaking the words of God, when God has not sent him and he is speaking his own words, not the words of God. And he is telling people to do things contrary to the word of God. And he is leading the people about and away from God and toward his own beliefs, his own perspectives, his own positions, his own traditions and his own ideas and is not focusing them on God. This person is an appalling abomination to God."

Yep, the year of the division of Alexander’s empire into four parts has now finally become clear, yet again, that is, until next spring or fall, when tomorrow proves that today’s clarity was only ever mud, and a new "clarity" once again is temporarily dangled before his befuddled sheep.

Jesus said, “No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father” (Matthew 24:36, NIV).

This saying has a perfect track record so far. In contrast, all the track records of all the multitudes of guessers over the centuries are pretty dismal, and those who persist in setting dates will in the end set dates that are too late.

Far too many professing Christians get their thrills frantically listening to and supporting a multitude of false prophets and their endless wrong theories and guesses. Living properly is of no interest to them. They reject and disobey all God's laws and then wonder why all their prophetic lies always fail so miserably. Some people even fornicate and commit adultery and yet imagine that they are the “good guys” because they are into wrong prophetic guesses that they falsely claim are taught by the Bible.

One Worthy of Remembrance once said that, “The end of the world is when you die.” So far, everyone who has ever died has died before the second coming. For them, the day of their death was their own personal “end of the world.”

Go and live righteously according to God's laws, and do not waste your time or money pursuing or supporting endless silly and sinful wrong guesses.

  20. Anon 6:41 PM, you wrote something James Malm would probably agree with when you wrote the following:

"...One Worthy of Remembrance once said that, “The end of the world is when you die.” So far, everyone who has ever died has died before the second coming..."

James Malm is still waiting for things like "the 10 kings/nations" and Christ's "second coming," but what if Christ's second coming already occurred?

We know that Jesus Christ walked this earth as a human being and died when He was in His 30s. After his death, then what? 3 days and 3 nights later He was resurrected and, according to scripture, departed from off this earth, went to Heaven to visit His Father. How do we know? Mary Magdalene was told this:

John 20:17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.
:18 Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that he had spoken these things unto her.

Then, later, the same day He was back on earth amongst His disciple (excluding Thomas):

:19 Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.

That had to be, Biblically-speaking, His "second coming, b/c He did NOT remain in Heaven. He returned to earth for a second time, didn't He? Didn't He really have a "second coming?" He visited with His disciples (all except Thomas).

Christ hung around for about 40 days. He was busy after His second coming. For example, He finally spent some time with Thomas:

John 10:26 ¶ And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.
27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.
28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.
29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
30 And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book:

We know Jesus Christ eventually returned to Heaven (Acts 1) where He will remain until all enemies had been subdued: that last enemy being death. So, Biblically-speaking, Christ's next coming cannot be a "second coming."

Every time James Malm (same applies to Thiel, Flurry, Pack, Winnail, Whineland, Franks, Suckling...well, xcogs like pcg, lcg...associations like United, cogwa, etc.) speaks about Christ's "second coming" he/they is/are proclaiming himself/themselves to be false prophet(s). I know they don't claim to be liars, but what other conclusion can one arrive at? Since the day HWA died, they all found themselves in a deep spiritual rut...and they never saw it coming.

Oh, and death is not the only enemy. Principalities, like Satan, are enemies too. And Satan comes out of some pit after 1,000 years to deceive the entire world again.

James Malm is so far off that his "second coming" of Christ is more than a 1,000 years away...and is exposed for being a false prophet: one among many! Even as an antichrist, but that is another story for another time.......

We should all be so happy that we really don't wrestle flesh and blood.

    .......and time will tell.

    John
