  1. God seems to be favoring COGWA. Both UCG and LCG have Atlantic Coast sites directly in the path of the storm in Florida and South Carolina. COGWA has a site on the Gulf Coast somewhat removed from the projected storm path.

  2. Hurricanes are a natural phenomenon, which behave according to the laws of nature. It is unusual when they do not happen on schedule. In fact, notable weather scientists had been bemoaning a multi-year cycle of what they termed as "hurricane drought". They saw this drought as having possibly been associated with global climate change, although some stated that it was too early to determine this.

Shamans for millennia have attempted to hijack natural events, and to utilize them to augment their own sources of power, in an effort to portray themselves as the gatekeepers of the universe. Bob Thiel, according to traditional Armstrongist doctinal musings, should see the return of the natural hurricane cycles as being a sort of reprieve, egotistically seeing himself now as having more time to complete his work. But he won't. Instead, he'll go for the obvious, taking the easy cheap shots listed in the post above. This is the only thing these people know to do. They will even subvert blessings to make it appear that the "uncalled ones" are constantly incurring punishments which the rest of us must abide.

  3. Obviously, he should blame himself.

  4. The cursed Chicago Cubs (who have not won the World Series in over 100 years) made the playoffs this year with the best win/loss record in baseball.

IT IS SELF EVIDENT BRETHREN THAT THIS IS THE CAUSE OF HURRICANE MATTHEW, with these two remarkable events happening within just a few short days of each other!

  5. Don't you all know that God sent this storm on Thiel's behalf to punish those that watch American football! God HATES football!!!!!!!

  6. God sent the storm because the church members lack ZEAL in their hearts and because United Church God is secretly changing its doctrines.

  7. Isn't interesting that this hurricane seems to have been named after one of GTA's sons?

  8. Bob did point out in his latest CCOG letter that he just finished his sermon series on Matthew.

COGs seem to have something a tad askew with prophecy: the make lots of predictions that don't happen, but are ready with explanations of why things they didn't predict did happen.

  9. I think it's interesting it seems to have been named after the Gospel of Matthew which contains Matthew 24 with wars and rumors of wars, earthquakes and TROUBLES! (Evidently they had not heard of Hurricanes in the Levant so this word is code for Hurricanes)

It is truly sad, all kidding aside , that a grown man, cannot see or admit that the writers of the Book knew little or nothing of the origins of weather. They understood nothing of warm and cold fronts, lows and high pressure systems or where rain and snow actually came from. If you go through EVERY "Where were you Job when I...." or "Do you know the treasuries of the snow, or hail" or the way of the Mazzaroth (The Zodiac), etc, today we can answer, "Well, yes actually we do know that..."

I assume Definitely Arrested Bob will next blame Baal, the rain god, should it rain too much on him.

  10. The idea that a God has to "try and get our attention with weather" is beyond ignorant and defines a very weak god indeed. If it spoke to man from a burning bush (didn't happen) perhaps it could speak clearly up to all from the storm. (Won't happen)

  11. Religion aside,I feel very sorry for those in Haiti etc who have suffered so much over the years.I hope Hurricane Matthew does not continue to wreck havoc as it reaches the US.And that any destruction will be minimal. And I hope the cogs will provide help and comfort, financial and physical to those worst affected. That is the "gospel."

  12. The only COG's that might even attempt to send money to help Haiti will be Grace Communion and United Church of God through Vic Kubik's organization.

Living Church of God will not help. David Pack will not help and Gerald Flurry will not help. They all say that God will give them Haitians a second change in the kingdom. There is no need to worry about the present life. If you die, you die and have another chance. So starve, die from disease, get killed in an earthquake or hurricane, it really does not matter. The Church needs the money now and does not need to waste it on unconverted people who are deceived by satan.

  13. Sorry folks, but this Painful Truth article nails it: Natural disasters are NOT getting worse. People have been duped by news media lies. Journalists are liars and idiots, not real scientists. The media and churches of God are using using hype not real science. Don't blame it all on the COGs, they are just stupid enough to listen to the media. LOL. Al Gore and his ilk are full of crap.

Well, whine-o, go ahead and send some of your own money down there if you really want to.

Haiti is commonly reported to be 90% Catholic and 100% Voodoo. Graceless Community of Iniquity is about 80% Catholic now and 100% cognitive dissonance. The people in the disUnited Church of Godlessness are about 80% godless and 100% hypocrite. So, maybe Graceless and Godless should at least pretend to help their own type. At most, they would probably send only a very small token amount so they could brag about it. It is obviously time for the Continuing Con of Thiel to step in and show that his god of the demons and pagans can call people who need money from more places than just Nigeria. Bob is part pagan, part demoniac, part Catholic, part bitter, and 100% false prophet.

  15. After the Haiti earthquake a few years ago, apparently the San Diego UCG congregation sent $1000 to LCG headquarters, earmarked specifically to aid the LCG brethren in Haiti. It sounds odd. Why would UCG give to LCG? I wonder if this was legitimate or if there were some sort of political shenanigans going on...

  16. The people in Haiti murdered all the whites and now they want our money. I say let them eat poop.

  17. It certainly couldn't be about Orlando...

Natural disasters not worse - I remember in a Spokesman's Club speech by one of our best speakers it was shown that in the 20th Century there was no upward trend in natural disasters. I don't remember how he used this information, but he didn't get slapped down by the minister.

In the so-called COGs it is the unnatural disasters like Gerald Flurry, David Pack, Ronald Weinland, Bob Thiel, etc. that are growing worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.

  19. Hurricane Matthew now downgraded to category 1.

It's now all sound and fury signifying nothing.

  20. Why should relatively tiny little COGs that were supposedly set up to preach the gospel of the kingdom of God (and to feed their own ministers) misappropriate the tithe money that members send in for this purpose and redirect it to people of totally different beliefs to do with whatever they feel like?

The COG is not the Red Cross. The COG was established for a different purpose. The COG teaches people that they need to repent of their sins or else they, too, will likewise perish.

The Roman Catholic Church is the largest and richest church on earth. Why can't it take care of its own professing RCC members in Haiti? And what about all the Voodoo in Haiti? Why can't Voodoo ward off hurricanes instead of always attracting hurricanes?

At times like this, the demons always inspire some kooks to pop up out of their holes in the ground--like in a game of Whack-a-Mole--and try to tell the tiny little COGs that it is their responsibility to send what little money they have to those who practice Roman Catholicism and Voodoo.

    1. Got it! So, if any ACOG members who are visiting here would really like to assist the people of Haiti in the aftermath of the hurricane, you should probably send goods or money to the American Red Cross, or to one of the various Cathoic relief funds. Your own church will most likely "correct" any specially designated offerings you send to them, and reroute it to themselves, sadly, with the complete blessing of the majority of your fellow members.

  21. Anon 2:29. What a self righteous attitude. Those people in Haiti don't deserve any help. You go ahead and take care of yourself. Step over those laying hurt. Hurry on. Run to your little COG pray fast get your earth shaking message out to the world. Don't worry about those rotten people dying from hurricanes

  23. After Katrina, Ron Dart commented a few times on how the most effective assistance came from (non-COG) churches.

Of course, I can understand the tainted view, since we were taught that "love your neighbor" and offering assistance "to the least of these" referred to church members helping* other church members**, not helping "the world".

This didn't apply to HWA, because when he gave away big chunks of money and gifts to non-members it was to spread the Gospel.

    * So long as it didn't come from your 1st, 2nd, 3rd tithe, offerings, special funds, etc
** WCG members in good standing
