It’s like the parent who says, “I can’t possibly spank my child. I love them too much.” God says He that spares the rod hates his child. “Oh no, I love my child!” God says, “I’m sorry, you hate your child. If you don’t spank your child, you hate your child…I am God, you are not…because your child will grow up and be an enormous problem to himself and others, if you don’t channel him and discipline him.” Now here is the way to make sure you never spank your children: Spank them. You will not have to do it many times and the child will say, “Two and two is four. If I do that, I’ll get spanked.” You do it a few times consistently…now you might have, you know, can have a little Korah for a son or daughter, and you might have to do it more often. But the tougher nuts to crack, will usually crack pretty soon, and you don’t have to do it very often.
Exposing the underbelly of Armstrongism in all of its wacky glory! Nothing you read here is made up. What you read here is the up to date face of Herbert W Armstrong's legacy. It's the gritty and dirty behind the scenes look at Armstrongism as you have never seen it before! With all the new crazy self-appointed Chief Overseers, Apostles, Prophets, Pharisees, legalists, and outright liars leading various Churches of God today, it is important to hold these agents of deception accountable.
Herbert Armstrong's Tangled Web of Corrupt Leaders
▼
More and more it looks as if the primary fundamental characteristic that defines Armstrongist leaders (besides narcissism) is hatred.
ReplyDeleteThe toughest ones never crack or become automatons, Dave. You'll just end up giving them a set of additional problems that they have to deal with later in life, like PTSD. From what I hear, your own kids aren't a very good report card for you, so why do you feel qualified to pass along this simplistic bull compost to the young parents in your gulag?

enough with the pack crap, already...what u got a man crush on this fool???
ReplyDeleteStop whining! Pack is release numerous sermons with the whole idea of brainwashing tens of thousands of COG to leave their groups and come to his. His absurdities need to be pointed out.
ReplyDeleteYes, the absurdities need to be pointed out, but let's get down to the basics, that stupid Bible itself. There never was any seven-day creation, so the Sabbath is as much a crock as is Sunday. There never was any world wide flood and any impossible floating zoo for any year. There was no exodus out of Egypt by any enslaved Israelites. No conquest of Canaan which was a integral part of the Egyptian Empire at that purported time. No Jesus born of any virgin. He's a fictional construct almalgamated out of a host of previous savior gods manufactured to fulfil constantine's decree. Etc., etc., etc. The whole damn Bible is a fiction and not very good fiction at that. Yahweh is no more real than Zeus or Thor. It's time that these facts were trupeted loudly from every sector and direction so kids won't grow up to be suckered in by con artists like old Herb and waste a good part, if not all, of their lives dedicated to total bullshit, like as happened in my own life.

Here's an article that was in Christianity Today, about spanking and the ministry of Michael and Debi Pearl, authors of To Train Up a Child and founders of No Greater Joy Ministries. "Their self-published book has flown quietly under the radar, selling more than 670,000 copies, and has been influential to hundreds of thousands of Christian Evangelicals."
ReplyDeleteClick here to read the article.
Dave Pack:"God says He that spares the rod hates his child."
ReplyDeleteGod:"Dave, I am God, and you are not! YOU have grown up to be an enormous problem to yourself and others, so keep holding on to that chair with all your might and I'll spank you and that chair into the lake of fire!"
"Or, maybe you would rather wish that I hate you?"
GAOTU
Not even the Liberal mainstream media hate Donald Trump as much as you freaks hate David C. Pack. He obviously packs you well. You write almost nothing else but these nonsensical posts against him. LOL.
ReplyDeleteHate the sins, but not the sinner. Still, there's nothing wrong with warning others. This may be their only chance to get out of a really bad future news event. But since you seem concerned, hope you qualify to escape.

I believe that spanking is child abuse. How can any child who has had physical pain inflicted on him or her have nothing but negative feelings after that form of punishment? I believe that spanking causes psychological damage to children. How can kids have nothing but anger toward the person spanking them?
ReplyDeleteTwo and two is four.
ReplyDeleteSpank that child for that grammar error!
One thing that adherents to the COGs never really think through is this "place of safety" thing. I still remember our certainty that Petra was going to be our place of safety back there in the early seventies. That's still tossed around by a lot of people who never stop to think of the logistical problems and international negotiations that anything like that would take. I'm Currently reading Woodward's book Bush At War. He wanted to immediately go on the offensive, but it took literally weeks of diplomatic maneuvering and negotiations to get everything set up for a campaign in Afghanistan. Thousands of people don't just decide overnight that they are going to pull up stakes and just move into some nations territory or go migrating trough anyplace they take a hankering to cross. Naivete is not a good thing.
ReplyDeleteI know. It has no real bearing on this posting. It's just something that struck me, and that's what I write about.
Allen C. Dexter
Allen C Dexter...yes, okay Allen, we get it, you don't believe the bible, we know that so why repeat repeat repeat, I often wonder why you even come here, yes I know you have 2 or 3 other Athiests here to agree with you, but why torture yourself listening to those who don't agree with you no matter what you say, why not go somewhere where you might be heard, somewhere that you can constantly cry out, HEY everybody, here I am, it's me, Allen C Dexter, you know, the one who doesn't believe the bible or that Jesus ever existed, it's all hogwash. I don't believe it so you shouldn't either.

ReplyDeleteMaybe just maybe, you shouldn't walk across the road without looking both ways. Taping knives to your hands like Edward Scissorhands and wrestling blindfolded could possibly maybe not be such a good idea.
That photo looks like something out of the 'Leave it to Beaver' TV program.
ReplyDelete1:37. I come here for the same reason all of you do. You think you've been blessed by some variation of HWA's conman message. I've seen through it. I know what a hodge podge of nonsense those scriptures are and I'm trying to get someone or several someones to do the painful thinking I did long ago. Like other christians, you just want to find some way to shut up the opposition so you can continue to deceive all those little children that come along into following your made up madness from a bygone age that still has a death grip on this society and just gave us a nazi president. It was that stupid Bible Belt that put him in office.

ReplyDeleteDo you realize that your post shows that you're a dick?
Please do a better job of posting in the future.
Dec. 14 at 2:13 AM thinks Allen C. Dexter should stop posting here and go elsewhere. He/she wonders why Allen takes the trouble to try to get people to share his (un)belief.
ReplyDeleteI can't read Allen's mind to know what motivates him (or any other unbelievers except myself), but from outside observation it looks like it could be the same impulse that sends believers out as evangelists and missionaries spreading their own world views. My guess is that humans have evolved an inborn tendency toward conformity from our prehistoric ancestors. Members of the small groups we lived in then needed to share a perspective and a value system in order to function. Groups who enforced group-think survived better than ones that lacked a set of beliefs that promoted dependable standards of behavior. A large society like ours can tolerate far greater diversity of thought, but the impulse to enforce conformity lurks there in our genes. It has impelled us to preserve any number of cultural practices that have outlived their usefulness, such as belief in the supernatural.
Most of the people who post here are doing a post-mortem examination of their Armstrong experience, finding upgraded solutions, and sharing those solutions. We're all in different stages. Some people do radical surgery as part of their continuing development. Others retune. There are always going to be some dyed in the wool types who find anything other than pre-1975 Armstrongism unfathomable, let alone unacceptable.

OOPS! I read the wrong date stamp. I was replying to Dec. 14 at 1:37 AM. Sorry.
ReplyDeleteIs there anyone out there who was raised in one of the CoGs, got kinda warped, and now requests and enjoys horrible spankings from their spouses as an adult?
ReplyDeleteDecember 14, 2016 at 1:37 AM;
ReplyDeleteI think some who comment here wish to do hurt to those of us who have faith.
I would say they have a bad attitude.
That would leave Me, Your self, Albert Einstein, Carl Sagan, and some few others who have some degree of faith. Hang in there kid !
Retired Prof, I agree with Ashley. That we can't read minds or know peoples motives rings hollow to me. Yes, sometimes it's true, but other times there is evidence to strongly suggest otherwise. The 'you shall know them by their fruits' thingy.
ReplyDeleteMost here are old, so we also have a wealth of experiences to draw on.
Conclusion, it's like Ashley said.
You shouldn't be whitewashing evil prof.
Ashley Froud, do you really want to play that game?
ReplyDeleteIf so, here's a few other of "those of us who have faith" people, who you may want to associate yourself with-
Sun Myung Moon
David Koresh
Pat Robertson
Bob Larson
Matthew Hale
Michael Bray
Paul Jennings Hill
David Duke
Marshall Applewhite
Jim Jones
Charles Coughlin
Oral Roberts
Donald Trump
Fred Phelps, Sr.
Robert Tilton
Billy James Hargis
Paul Crouch
W.V. Grant
Mike Warnke
Please note: this is only the tip of the proverbial iceberg, and for the sake of brevity is a very short list, yet hoping to make a point with you, Ashley.
(Not to mention thousands of others, including the scumbag Herbert "W" Armstrong and all the leaders who splintered off from his church to form their own cults.)
Heck, even if you put rabbits in a cage (or for that matter, GTA in a cage with anything that has a pussy), you can expect a high propagation rate.
Last I checked- which was a few years ago- the number of WCG's splinters led by "people of faith" was about 750 and growing.
In other words, Ashley, for you to mention three people (yourself, Albert Einstein and Carl Sagan) as examples doesn't do much when considering the quality and quantity of the more complete set of "believers", including Adolph Hitler.
And Ashley, if you think I'm trying to hurt your faith, you couldn't be more wrong.

ReplyDeleteLumping Donald Trump with Jim Jones, David Koresh etc. How objective and truthful is that? You have zero credibility with me. And that's without being able to mind read.

The Banned Blog is serving a useful purpose by warning people about what is actually happening in the splinter groups. David Pack is in the news here so much because of the many outrageously evil things that he has been doing in recent years. David Pack is a ferocious false prophet and “common” thief who makes massive doctrinal changes away from what Herbert W. Armstrong had taught, and who yells and spits because he has a lack of control in the temper department. David Pack acts like Satan sent him to deceive, betray, and destroy former Worldwide Church of God members who just wanted to hold on to what Herbert W. Armstrong had taught them. Stop acting like Satan sent you to discourage people from exposing freaks like David C. Pack.
