From Exit and Support:
Mark Saranga Kicks Daughter Out of House:January 25, 2017
Mark Saranga took over as head of the PCG Mail Processing Dept. when Mark Nash was unceremoniously fired from that position. His daughter Alicia was seeing a "worldly" boy at the public school she attended, so Mark Saranga kicked her out of the house never to return (which is in keeping with Gerald Flurry's disfellowshipping policy). Alicia was a minor and around 16 years old at the time. She had no place to go as the other PCG members were too afraid of Gerald Flurry putting them out, too, for sheltering someone thrown out of the PCG. People are in fear of the ministry.
Alicia had to go to the local office of Health and Human Services and tell them she was basically homeless without any means of support. The State put her into foster care and she has been there ever since. Her father Mark Saranga is still an "upstanding minister" in the PCG. He writes for the Philadelphia Trumpet and Royal Vision magazine and his work is predominantly featured on the PCG website. Ironically, one of his current articles on there is about the Sandy Hook tragedy and how to protect your children. This coming from a man who kicked out his minor aged daughter to the curb for seeing a boy in school.
Not only are Gerald Flurry's insane policies destroying the PCG financially, but they are also causing a local strain on the taxpayers as the kicked out minor aged children of the PCG members are relying on the State to survive. --[name withheld]
This is not the fruit incident of PCG ministers forcing their kids out into the streets. It has been regular occurrence in PCG over the decades, though usually it is the ministry forcing members to kick their kids out.
ReplyDeleteMalachi 4:4-6 (NIV)
4:4 "Remember the law of my servant Moses, the decrees and laws I gave him at Horeb for all Israel.
4:5 "See, I will send you the prophet Elijah before that great and dreadful day of the LORD comes.
4:6 He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers; or else I will come and strike the land with a curse."
------------
In a satanic imposter cult like the PCG, led by a false prophet like Gerald Flurry, people forget all about the Ten Commandments and end up doing the exact opposite of what they are supposed to be doing. PCG members idolize and worship a short runt with the many tall titles he gave himself. PCG members lust and covet, commit adultery, bear false witness against other people (including other PCG members that they want to prey on), dishonor all extended family members (not just their parents), and have a murderous attitude of wanting to kill off everyone else for all eternity. PCG members steal God's tithes and offerings by using them to support the exact opposite of what they should be supporting. Instead of truth and rest, the Sabbath becomes a time of lies and terror from petty PCG tyrants, and of trying to escape the clutches of old sex maniacs, sex perverts, and predators in the PCG. Worst of all, PCG members misuse God's name by trying to make it sound like he wants them to do all the evil things that they want to do.
Satan sent an anti-Elijah by the name of That False Prophet Gerald Flurry to turn the hearts of the fathers against their children, and the hearts of the children against their fathers, to bring a curse on everyone. The PCG is all about trying to destroy families and break up all normal, decent relationships while forcing people to go along with old sex perverts and predators in the cult. PCG members are taught to close their eyes, cover their ears, and rage away insanely like rabid animals about all the “evil Laodiceans” so that they do not notice that they themselves are some of the vilest people around.
I do not know the attitudes of the entirety of the PCG membership, nor whether or not they steal tithes or abuse the Sabbath or associate with old sex perverts, having not ever been a member.
ReplyDeleteThat said, if the state of Oklahoma put his daughter into foster care, I wonder if they'll take any significant action against him.
Even being mild and measured about this, it is fair to say that their concept of children and family has been perhaps the major problem with Armstrongism. It is responsible for the graying demographic.
ReplyDeleteHowever, considering the mindset, it would not be at all unusual for Mark Saranga to imagine that one day when his daughter "comes to her senses", that she will actually thank him for his love and wisdom in doing this.
It's the Armstrong collateral that participants delude themselves they are building.

Now Bob, don't you know that a mighty angel of God delivered Malachi's Message, AKA the "Little Book" from Jules Dervaes to Gerald Flurry, therefore making him Wonderful, Counselor, the Mighty God, the Prince of Peace, and then the same Gerald Flurry, over a refreshing six pack of beer consumed while driving, determined that the little book was badly out of date and needed to be revised multiple times? For that he is known as That Prophet Who Prophesies Prophecies At Midnight. Oh, and look upon his beautiful feet!
ReplyDelete(For those who don't remember the "beautiful feet" biz, here you go: http://armstrongismlibrary.blogspot.com/2013/04/gerald-flurry-i-am-king-and-law-giver.html
ReplyDeleteGerald Flurry is allowed to do whatever he wants, whenever he wants, and however he wants. No wonder people are athiests. Is there no power to stop old 6pack Flurry from committing his depredations?
ReplyDeleteSome still don't realize the permanent nature of the damage that these people who make quasi-biblical characters of themselves foment. Flurry is just perpetuating what HWA started. And, it's too bad we don't know what really happened within G G Rupert's congregations, because I suspect that the doctrines caused the same problems for his members as well.
ReplyDeleteIf Mark ever does actually feel remorse about the ways in which he has treated Alicia, and say apologizes, that will ring hollow on her ears if he continues to be part of the organization or belief system which caused the maltreatment in the first place.
In a way, you have to shift to a parallel situation in order to dramatize and to obtain a better picture. Suppose Mark were addicted to a behavior-altering drug? So long as he was still using, he would be completely incapable of changing the elements of his behavior that had made an apology necessary in the first place. And, it also wouldn't matter if his fellow addicts told his daughter what a wonderful person he was, because he would be wonderful in ways that only an addict could appreciate.
Toxic cults behave just like toxic drugs. If parents get their kids addicted, and the kids later break free, the only way the family can heal and become whole again is if all of the members get clean. In many ways, a cult is much more pernicious than a drug.

ReplyDeleteAlthough you may be right in 99% of the cases. It still is a fatalistic point of view.
Even the Armstrongist cults there is space for "free moral agency". After all in Genesis God says "choose life". There are parents in the cults who know and practice the God way. That is that they realize that once they have to let their children pursue their own choices.
I retract my statements if your parents call you every week to return to the mothership on their advanced age. I know they don't like the examples I cited.
Of course manyu in the cults do not understand that principle since their sense of "love" has been warped into "obedience" and "fear" which is not the same as love.

I'm sorry. I missed a comma.
ReplyDeleteI meant to say. I know they don't , (comma) like the examples I cited.
Not I know they don't like the examples I cited.
