It seems that some LCG members have gotten lazy during these horrific end times. Some do not even bother to come to church any more and just stay home a stream the sermons. Oh the horrors!!!!!!
LCG also knows that some of their sermons can have damaging results upon the church if they are released out into the "world." We saw what happened with a sermon by Rod Meredith the sent Terry Ratzmann off the deep end and murder LCG members during a church service.
LCG members are streaming sermons regularly and sharing passwords to friends so that they too can enjoy the sermons. Not for much longer though. Word has come down from on high to STOP doing this. Lazy Laodiceans!
We are happy to see that more and more pastors are using technology to stay connected to their congregations. The Internet can be a powerful way to do that, especially as many brethren are geographically spread out and the pastor can’t be in the same congregation every week. With that in mind, we ask you, brethren, please do not share passwords outside of your area. Your pastor’s sermons are prepared and designed with your local congregation in mind—not for brethren across the country or around the world.
From experience, we have seen that some brethren stay at home instead of going to services if they can watch a streamed service from another congregation. Church services are a commanded assembly, where we are not only attending to learn, but also to “stir up love and good works… exhorting one another” (Hebrews 10:24-25). God’s word warns us that as the end draws near, we should not forsake “the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some” (verse 25). With that in mind, please make every effort to attend when you can (of course, stay home if you are sick!). And when you do view or listen to your pastor’s messages from home, please do not share the password outside your pastor’s area.
Hhmmm...threatened by the living-room church of god?
ReplyDeleteOr,...the gospel for them is drastically different for what the world gets to see as the so-called gospel?
C.O.G. Contradictive Orders from God sums up armstrongism.
WWJD?
Since it's pure bull, stay home and don't stream.
ReplyDeletePlease mr Rod, the bible say's "Remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy"
ReplyDeleteCould you please tell us where it says Sabbath services are commanded, and we must sit through a two hour sermon. Chapter and verse please.
Are we not to share passwords from out of our area, because ministers are to lazy to make up new sermons. Do they use the old ones when they are transferred? Same as ministers using the same feast sermon at a different feast site.
BlackOps, would you rob a heroin addict of their me-tho-done?

Oh here they go again, Hebrews 10 is the most abused bible scripture EVER!!! The ministry with their cosy perks of travel allowance berate the hard working poor who realise they simply cannot afford to drive the vast journeys every Sabbath year in and year out with no hope of a congregation being built anywhere near or within reasonable distance of their homes.
ReplyDeleteOf course it is ALL the BRETHRENS fault that church split after church split has ravaged the landscape of the congregations. It is of course ALL the BRETHRENS fault that many have to travel further to Sabbath services than they did 30 years ago. It is ALL the BRETHRENS fault they do not have a limitless money fund.
It is ALL to the BRETHRENS shame that they do not drive themselves into the ground every Sabbath, they should forsake paying bills, they should forsake living in nice homes. They should be there every Sabbath sat like zombies because you are not allowed to observe the SAbbath without a suited and booted man with a screwed up life and mind, they live a double life putting on an act every Sabbath and ALL the BRETHREN should be there to watch this show. Worship of GOD ALMIGHTY forget that its worship of the fragile egos of weak men.
The commanded assembly is with the Ekklesia. This might mean only with God the Father and Christ. Whether one attends church is governed by the principle of 'choose life.' If attending services enriches ones life, by all means go. If attending impoverishes ones life, stay at home. In Acts, Paul encountered a 'Christian' church that was hijacked by a evil minister. Attending obviously would have been destructive.
ReplyDeleteGoing to church is not one of the ten commandments. The Sabbath yes, church attendance, optional.
The ministers are hardly impartial on this matter.
Many of the tele evangelical TV programs are better the church sermons. One sometimes learns something new. Learning something genuinely new in the slivers?? Ha ha ha ha.
ReplyDeletePS no new material must be by design. Keep the sheeple ignorant and hence easy to lord over.
Live SCREAMING or live streaming or both?
ReplyDelete!). Did the brethren ONLY get together on the Sabbath? No. Yet this is the cog's main and often ONLY admonition.
ReplyDelete2). Hebrews 3:13 says, "...but exhort one another DAILY..". Wouldn't that require some form of 'assembling' or contact DAILY?
Their continual harping on the 'assemble for the Sabbath' while ignoring or dismissing so much else, the true meaning of fellowship of brethren always left me thinking they were just another *meet and put on your Sunday best (only we do Saturday) and make it look "good". Is it any wonder that many in the world label the cog's cults. They do not see astounding fruits and brotherly love. There are a few within the cog's who do follow and show a beautiful example. But they are the few, not the many.
The main conversations on the Sabbath were trivial. The sermons never or seldom discussed except for the "oh that was a fine sermon"..same as any other type of church I ever went to. How is that helpful?!
Yeah. You don't even need any passwords to not go to church and not stream it either. Go for a hike instead. Bake some cookies. Take a nap. So many better things you could do with your time—no password required!
ReplyDeleteLCG members who prefer to stay at home and watch sermon videos? Switch to the CCOG!
ReplyDeleteIt's dumb, anyway, to share passwords so that you can listen to other LCG areas' sermons. Those sermons are all worthless, and without any redeeming social value whatever. It's not as if they are some much sought after rare bootleg recordings of Bob Dylan or the Grateful Dead!

What do you expect people to do when they have an idiot for a pastor? Watch the latest LCG telecast. Weston is becoming as big a liar as Meredith. Appropriating Sandy Koufax to support his own cult's teachings is a very ballsy move, but will viewers be fooled? It's around the five minute mark:
ReplyDeleteMore Important than the Game
It is a little strange that LCG has decided to talk about baseball on Super Bowl weekend. Maybe the improperly ordained Almost Arrested Elijah has them on the defensive?
At least with recorded sermons at home you can "Fast Forward" or "Pause" , comment openly and honestly "out loud" in real time, fart, eat snacks, lay in bed, and drink beer.
ReplyDeleteWell, now I belong to a secular free thinkers group I helped found here in the Verde Valley of Arizona, but I rarely attend anything in Sedona just because we can't afford on our limited fixed income budget to make the 15 mile drive up and back very often. I go to the breakfast meetings we have here in Cottonwood about once a month and usually only order a decaf coffee. Our decisions are based on realities that all reasonable people have to take into account. At least, with a secular organisation, there is no one sitting in judgement of our decisions, and we only give sporadically as we can afford to do so, nowhere near the suggested amount.

If LCG is THE ONLY true COG, that's preaching the TRUE gospel and executing the admonition to preach unto all the world in His name.... then why are services password protected!?!
ReplyDeleteIt seems to me that God's true church would be completely transparent.
This behavior is straight up cult-ish.
Further, if LCG was soooo awesome why would they need to FORCE their own members to attend Sabbath services? Wouldn't they be looking forward to it all week and show up eager to hear God's Word?
Obviously they are tired and bored with the government/ submit to the ministry sermons and doctrinal heresies. I don't blame them for staying home. The sermons are horribly repetitive and depressing.
LCG is obsessed with numbers. I'm sure in part they want bodies in the chairs so the ushers can count them.
LCG s also obsessed with having control over their members. Not coming to church makes it harder to spy on you and pry into your personal life. It also makes it impossible to interrogate you on your "thoughts about today's sermon" in the fellowship hall after services (Weston now walks table to table inquiring in an effort to sniff out would be dissenters).
It's all about manipulation, authority and control.
Weston now walks table to table inquiring in an effort to sniff out would be dissenters
ReplyDeleteThat's a bad strategy, since some of the strongest dissenters each week will be preaching in other LCG congregations, only to return to HQ on Monday where their dissent seems to be much harder to root out.
Weston now walks table to table inquiring in an effort to sniff out would be dissenters
ReplyDeleteWho has the courage to tell Weston the truth? "We're loyal LCG members, but this is the 20th time I have heard Rod Meredith preach that same sermon, and I really didn't get anything new out of what I heard today"?
What Weston is doing, by putting the members ill at ease and confronting them with "How did you like the sermon?", is pressuring them to lie in order to remain in his good graces. Then, once they grow used to lying about Meredith's sermons, it will become easier for them to lie about other things, and all Weston will have done is spread commandment-breaking among the Charlotte congregation.
Well, a member could smile, and say, "I thought the sermon was of equal value to HWA's sermon on the two trees!" The member would mean that it was absolutely valueless, but Weston would come away with the notion that it was eternally priceless!
DeleteProblem solved!

LCG has to suppress dissent, lest the lies be exposed. Think about all the things you hear repeatedly at LCG, then see how Meredith has adopted the philosophy of Joseph Goebbels: “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”
