The incomplete City on the Hill
Just as Jesus feet supposedly walked the green hills of England, Dave Pack's "jesus" will return to walk the green hills of Wadsworth, Ohio. After all, it is just like Zion! Awesome!
Let me make a summary statement, brethren. Zion is then a very long, thin city…And for the moment, think of our campus as about three-quarters of a mile long or about 4,000 feet, but only a third of a mile wide at its widest point…maybe 1,700 feet…but in places, the campus is only a third of that, maybe 6- or 700 feet. So much like Mount Zion, we are a long, thin campus that runs, let’s say, 6- or 700 feet up to 1,700 feet wide, while it is 4,000 feet long. And that’s interesting to consider, that will come up later in the sermon.
Zion is like Dave's sermons. Long and very thin
ReplyDeleteZion spelled backwards is Noiz. And, without a rhythm section, that's what Dave's sermons are.

Noiz is also what it is like to be 1 block away from Interstate-76, on one side, and the big box, commercial zone on the other side, all right there by the Davestown. They will have to hook up the PA system and give Christ a microphone so he can be heard after he touches down from the assentation to the compound. If they are running low on food to feed the masses who will surely show up, they can take the baskets next door and fill them with loaves and fish, plenty to share compliments Giant Eagle.
ReplyDeleteAnd here all this time I thought that ZION was in Utah!
ReplyDeleteAnd what is the population of this "city"? Didn't Davey sell his house and build himself one on his campus? Population 2? That's not a city, it's the compound of a fanatical apocalyptic cult.
ReplyDeleteDave has surrounded himself with a group of young man/boys who fawn over his every action and deed. This does not even include the 16 some elders that sit there and give a thumbs up every time he farts out a new revelation. Why is it that almost every single splinter cult leader surrounds himself with young, virile man/boys?
ReplyDeleteThat's a difficult question within the ACOGs, because any bad answer which could be given is actually possible. From a military standpoint, men of this age group make the best foot-soldiers. Most are in prime shape, are flexible enough to be molded, and still have a need for stronger people in their lives. Unfortunately, while young people eventually finish their military service and get on with their lives, the ACOGs hold them in a state of perpetual conscription, and never allow them to fully grow up and mature. Of course, it's not sold to them as perpetual conscription at the beginning, but they gradually discover that that's in fact the obligation as the prophecies continue to fail.

Anon wondered:
ReplyDelete"Why is it that almost every single splinter cult leader surrounds himself with young, virile man/boys?"
Because Jesus and Paul did?
