New King of the Church of God Travels To England

God was busy working many miracles in October for the new King of the Church of God.  Now that Gerald Flurry has declared Herbert's prayer rock to be the new coronation stone and that he himself is the modern day King of the church, till Jesus returns to take possession of it, his God has been clearing the way with miraculous events.

King Gerry was ready to fly to England to visit his English campus at Edstone, when lo and behold, Satan attacked him and caused passport issues.  While all of this as being worked out, his god started telling the high altitude winds, that King Gerry's jet would be flying in, to increase their speed in order to let King Gerry's private plane be able to fly directly from Oklahoma to England without refueling!

Below is an excerpt from Grant Turgeon's slobberfest about the trip.  The most disturbing part is the last paragraph.  Visions of adoring crowds clamoring to get close to Jim Jones, Herbert Armstrong, and leaders of other cults come to mind.  The PCG faithful have totally swallowed Gerald Flurry's lie about HWA's prayer rock, its new significance and the fact that he is now the King that God is supposedly working through.

The sheer depths of spiritual depravity that Armstrongite leaders sink to is mind-boggling.

EDMOND—Philadelphia Church of God Pastor General Gerald Flurry made his first international trip on the Church’s corporate jet from October 10–19. He spent the seventh day of the Feast of Tabernacles and the Last Great Day in Warwickshire, England. Three days later, he flew to Tel Aviv, Israel, and met with Dr. Eilat Mazar in Jerusalem before returning home via England.
On October 10, the sixth day of the Feast, Mr. Flurry left his home at 6 a.m. to drive to the private hangar in OKC. Due to a passport mix-up, he and his personal assistant, Grant Turgeon, had to return to the headquarters campus. During the 90-minute delay, Capt. James Gay adjusted the flight plan to make up the difference. Strong eastward winds allowed for a rare direct flight from Oklahoma City to Birmingham, England, and enabled Gay to eliminate a refueling stop in South Bend, Indiana.
After an eight-hour flight, the Gulfstream G450 touched down in Birmingham around 11 p.m. local time. Mr. Flurry said that he felt energized following the trip, the result of near-zero turbulence at 43,000 feet and a cabin pressurization of just 6,000 feet (half that of a commercial flight). A cheerful group of about a dozen pcg members stayed up late to greet him at the private terminal.
United Kingdom-Europe Regional Director Brad Macdonald and Edstone Foreign Language Translations staff member Emmanuel Michels drove Mr. Flurry and Turgeon to the pcg regional office at Edstone Hall in Warwickshire, arriving just before midnight, where they stayed at the apartment of the Stephen Flurry family.
The next day, Mr. Flurry gave the sermon and then spent a couple hours speaking with most of the 300-plus members at the Feast site.
“The brethren are always excited when Mr. Flurry visits, but I thought they were extra excited by this visit,” Mr. Macdonald said. “This was Mr. Flurry’s first visit to the region since the new revelation about his office. That understanding makes a conversation with Mr. Flurry extra special. Since the Feast, I’ve spoken with a few people who relayed how special it was for them to have a few minutes with Mr. Flurry, and how connected they felt to him. More than a few remarked on how warm and open and friendly Mr. Flurry was, and how in their conversations with him it felt as if they’d known one another for years and years.” Pastor General Visits England Feast Site, Meets With Dr. Eilat Mazar on First International Trip Aboard PCG Jet

  1. Interesting that Flurry is so certain he has found this ‘very special rock’.

What details did HWA leave to locate this rock? The only mention of it is one single paragraph in HWA’s autobiography. This is the full paragraph:-

“To the rear of the Fisher farm home was a fair-sized hill. Running over this hilltop for exercise I discovered a rock about 14 inches high. It was in a secluded spot. It came to mind how Jesus had dismissed the multitudes, and gone up into a mountain “apart” to pray -- alone with God. I dropped to my knees before this rock, which seemed just the right height to kneel before, and began praying earnestly for the success of the meetings. It became sort of a daily pilgrimage, during my stay at Fishers’, to this, which became my “prayer rock.” I’m sure that I drank in much energy, spiritual strength and inspiration at that prayer rock.”

What details can we glean from this? Three things - It was a ‘fair-sized hill’ - The rock was about 14 inches high - It was in a secluded spot.

Seventy years later the Flurry crew search this ‘fair-sized hill’. Are we to believe there was only one 14 inch high rock on the whole hillside? Things do change over seventy years – vegetation changes, trees grow a lot in seventy years. Yet they found the very same rock.

    Yeah, sounds good!

  2. Flurry is a complete jack ass.

  3. There are local old-timer COG7 members in that Oregon area who knew HWA and who are sure that Flurry found the WRONG rock!

  4. Flurry is not the only one don't forget Dave Pack-ass

  5. I cant believe they're actually rolling with this notion. Then again, Flurry has been hinting at this particular conceit for years.

I've noticed many people on the internet who claim PCG affiliation say that they don't like when Flurry does these things. Yet they dont vote with their feet, so their admissions are of debatable merit anyway.

  6. However, elsewhere in the article, it says the PCG mucketymucks discussed the "activities of German statesman Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg".

Thiel will jizz in his pants when he sees this. Calm yourself, Bob.

    Does Jim Meredith count?

  9. A blimp is a big gasbag filled with hot air.

That nicely describes Peter Nathan, who has had the nerve to give a sermon titled

    Fairness, The Cause Of Destruction

I'll spare you from listening to the whole thing. Basically, this hypocrite says that today's Christians should be intolerant of others and should not value a tolerant society that allows differing people to hold differing values. Does he not realize that a Catholic dictator could use Nathan's own logic to justify banning the Living Church of God? These ministers live in their isolated ivory towers and don't begin to understand the implications of their asinine assertions. Armstrongism under HWA used to teach that God is using today's tolerant society to allow the Gospel to spread, and that it would not be until Christ's return that there would be a fascist theocracy under Christ. How strange it is that people like Nathan and Flurry have set aside HWA's teachings and replaced it with a sort of conservative Republican message that advocates a repressive Beast-like government now.

  10. Jim Meredith counts! How dare you!
He is God's anointed apostle in these last days. I know this for a fact and it's been proven by Bob Thiel as well. Prophet Theil knows that Jim Meredith is the living apostle of the end time church.
It will become more apparent as time goes on and even Dave Pack will have to admit this. As a matter of fact, I believe he is on the verge of announcing this and stepping down from his position in his own little church.
    Trust me. I know.

  11. I get why these people would be in awe now that he revealed he is the heir to Christ throne and not the royal family. Although they probably already met him a dozen times before. I was that way when we were told to be as children and just accept what they say as new revelation. Except children grow and become curious and start questioning and that is the one thing the COG's hate is questioning their authority and their new revelation. BTW, S. Flurry took his family to Australia so I am surprised he did not take the jet.

I like your assessment in the posting!

These people do not have the cultural bagage of an 1892 born person, having seen the USA rise from a minor agricultural country to absolute dominance, who in his early career was in close contact with the elites building that nation economically from the ashes of a civil war according to the dominant culture, philosophy and aspiration of that entrepreneurial class.

    Go West Young man!

In the absence of such leader they have descended into a state of "conservatism" instead of "promise". By the way. The entire USA seems to go that way.

  13. You mean his PCG-issued and printed "diplomatic" passport was not good enough and he had to go back and get his US-government issued passport?

Interesting that the private jet is flown by Captain Gay!! So much for "god naming things for what they are"!
