UPDATE: After a brutal smackdown over his latest self-serving adventure, ala Bob Thiel, the COG's greatest Pharisee and bastardizer of the law, has taken down his video. As usual, he let the readers here get under his prickly self-righteous skin.
14 Oct: I have deleted the YouTube Intro. I have a new Intro I am happy with and at this point will leave any further posting until the pilot video is ready. I am having a great time learning and practicing with my video editing software and I may take a little time from other projects to do a pilot program sooner than expected.-------------------------------------------
It is not as if the Church of God needs ANOTHER bumbling idiot putting his message on YouTube as a warning to the church and the world, but there is. Another bellowing, shouting, wildly gesturing and bible thumping prophet has stepped up to the plate. Spitting and snarling, the law will be shoved down peoples throats as if it was a requirement for New Covenant Christians. It is almost a guarantee that Jesus will not be mentioned much, but you will sure hear Moses, Moses, Moses, Leviticus and Deuteronomy! It is enough to make you barf without even listening to him.
TheShiningLight- The process of updating the Bible Studies through the entire Bible is taking longer than expected, mainly because I had not realized just how much they needed improvement. As of now I expect to have the entire Bible updated except Daniel/Revelation and the Twelve Prophets by Pentecost 2019.
I plan to do these Prophetic Books by Tabernacles 2019, which will complete the updating of our studies through the entire Bible as a solid foundation for beginning the next phase of the work which will be public broadcasting.
I had wanted to do YouTube sermons or programs some time ago but was moved to realize that the Bible Studies, as well as the appearance and format of the site, needed to be updated to a much higher standard as a foundation for the programs. Besides needing a quality site and Biblically solid studies to refer to in the programs, I have also learned a tremendous amount through updating the studies and am much better prepared.
With the bulk of the studies completed by next Pentecost a pilot broadcast is likely for next summer.
I have posted a possible intro at our YouTube channel and invite your suggestions. If it is bad please tell me, and please send in any suggestions to jddm3@hotmail.com or make a comment here. The idea is to have the Intro set the mood for a solid no nonsense program and then transition to a title page of 3-4 seconds, followed by the actual program.
deleted after public humiliation...snark...
Don't count on it being very well researched. Ever since Constance left him his quality has suffered dramatically. She was the brains behind him because she did all the heavy research and Bible Study. His lazy ass then took credit for it. It is more important for him to sit in his apartment conning people into sending him money so he does not have to get a real job. The other reason his wife left him, besides the sacred names stuff, was that she was supporting his lazy ass. That only last so long until a woman gets tired of a lazy husband.
ReplyDeleteLOL! He needs to change his title to "Preparing the way for the Law"
ReplyDeleteExactly what the world does no need: Another imitation Armstrongite broadcast.
ReplyDeleteI'm very curious, so I'm looking forward to watching or glimpsing a program. Does anyone know what his public speaking is like? I wonder if he's better than Bitter Bob.
ReplyDeleteWith his emphasis on law and legalism, Malm really should have an opening similar to the old "Highway Patrol" television series ...

I actually don't keep up with the Armstrong movement except when I visit this site and I'm shocked by how wicked & depraved the Armstrong "leaders" are.
ReplyDeleteConnie, I would suggest a peppier opening theme. How about:
ReplyDelete"I Fought the Law, and the Law Won!"
"...the next phase of the work..."
ReplyDelete"The work." Uh huh. Claims he isn't just another Armstrong copycat but his own words give him away.
"...a solid no nonsense program..."
In other words, a dour, depressing, gloom and doom total nonsense "program."
"...I had not realized just how much they needed improvement...If it is bad please tell me..."
He'll never realize how bad the content is either, and unless I miss my guess, he'll never accept anyone trying to tell him about it either.
Same O, same O...Amazing the loooonngg lifespan BS has...it's an insult to the Bovine Commu
ReplyDeletenity...at least its' BS comes from a "natural, organic source" and has a useful purpose. Or
used to.
When I was little the standard practice for lying, etc was to have your mouth washed out with
a soap bar. called a neighbor kid an SOB once (learned the word from my aunt-don't do as I do
but what I say) & got the "treatment". Once was enough. :-) Doubt it would be effective with
all those (naughty B-word here) that lie in the "Name of the Lord". Hmmmm....maybe the Name
is wrong???
Wow, he is really asking for it!
ReplyDeleteHe does have better theme music than all his competitors - maybe he should stop while he is ahead.
I'm in favor of whatever makes Armstrongism look as ridiculous as possible. I want to see the people promoting it be inept and unreasonable kooks, no semblance of common sense or sanity. The more Spokesman's Club washouts that want to get into the act, the better! This is actually good news?

ReplyDeleteNotice the most important thing to Malm is the Intro. You have to have a good intro. It obfuscates all the nonsense stuff that follows.
ReplyDeleteNone of these Armstrong wannabees have a better Intro than what HWA and/or GTA had.

Nice music regarding law and law breaking!
James Mahm does not realize that the law really is against him:
Col 2:14 "Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was AGAINST US, which was CONTRARY TO us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;"
Everyone, except Jesus Christ, has been involved in law-breaking to one degree or another. We all experience evil, and it is sufficient with every passing day, and we are learning to hate evil to one degree or another.
God's law was given as a gift to ancient Israel, but they were not going to keep that law and God knew it (Deut 29:4).
"Yet the LORD hath not given you an heart to perceive, and eyes to see, and ears to hear, unto this day."
Even one with God's Spirit will not perfectly keep God's law, but James Malm supposes, believes, teaches that one can do that. One might think that James Malm would acknowledge that only Jesus Christ could ever do such a thing. Well, maybb James thinks that if people have enough zeal, but they can't (James 4:5; I John 3:8)! James hasn't done it, yet he gives us the impression that he is the example we all must follow. Most of the former WCG hirelings also taught the theme: "Be like me," as if they were perfectly keeping God's law. They're scattered all over the landscape now, and as confused as ever about law and legalism.
God is not at this time imposing His law on humanity, so why does James Malm and others strive to do what God is not doing?
The Apostle Paul had confidence in the fulfillment of the following verse, b/c he knew God was doing something that human beings of and by themselves cannot do:
"To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation." 2 Cor 5:19
God does have more concern for this world than James Malm can ever imagine, and a day may arrive when he finally believes those words Paul was inspired to write, especially when James Malm finally realizes: "Like the rest of humanity, his brothers and sisters: 'I can't do it EITHER!'"
Jesus Christ said of Himself He could do nothing. Are we to believe that James Malm is going to "magically," do more than that? James Malm is asking an awful lot of us with his law and legalism and we, of and by ourselves, cannot do it.
Time will tell...

Col 2:13 - And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
So, please be the first to explain to me why the old covenant, Mt. Sinai law, the ten commandments had to be nailed to the cross in order for gentiles to be forgiven?
Inquiring minds want to know.
Kevin
ps, please don't assume that I'm in favor of Malm
Let's be honest and look at this in a totally realistic way.
ReplyDeleteHe probably used one of those "Intro Apps" you can get at Google Play for nothing, or for just a few bucks. They're really easy to use and look really professional. But they're free. And I'm willing to bet he got someone to help him do it. This is not a big deal to do these days. Literally any hobbyist on YouTube does it. Just the fact that he's just now doing it? Behind the times.
Now. All it will take is the use of a simple Movie Maker. Take the intro and put it in front of the movie maker. Voila. You have "A Broadcast". For free.
Which one can make for any reason. Even us here at Banned can do it. I'm imagining one with "Benny Hill" music and a completely spoofed intro of COG Leaders or the like in the worst possible freeze-frames. And Art Gilmore's voice of the "THe following is a " with "WCG" dubbed in as Banned By HWA. Though I probably can't do this exactly - for (C) reasons - I could come pretty darn close!
The point is he's making a big deal over absolutely nothing. What he REALLY needs is thousands, or hundreds of thousands - or millions of viewers. And that's not going to happen. Thiel struggles to get more views than CAT VIDEOS!
This reminds me so much of Thiel with his over-the-top animation ministry. If there's one thing COG leaders know how to do is use hyperbole and hype. Oh LOOK! I have ANIMATIONS! Oh LOOK! I know how to use an INTRO PROGRAM! pssh.
When they say "OH LOOK! I HAVE 100 MILLION VIEWERS AND 399,000 COMMENTS", then it's worth noting.
Oh, I forgot. They disable comments, thereby choking their viewers who don't view videos where people can't express themselves. They've screwed themselves before even getting started. Bottom line?
Pssh.
The reason why they place so much importance on the Intro is NOSTALGIA.
ReplyDeleteThey remember so fondly sitting in a metal building, or a tabernacle, with 4,000 to 14,000 fellow members, all watching the stars and the brass instruments and the world pop into view and then Art Gilmore's "The FOLLOWING is a Worldwide Church of God presentation" followed by World Tomorrow theme music. It makes them feel important, and normal. EVERY COG video wanna-be has done the video thing far more impressively than the message just for that reason.
Cue impressive world-globe spinning intro cutting directly to what could be something like maybe oh - crooked bookcases and shabby curtains. Or a living room from another guy with the furnace humming in the background. Or someone else with the Price Is Right on in the background. Or another wanna-be Transmission Person saying "Greetings Around the World" while maybe the kid upstairs is watching something he shouldn't be watching and you can hear it. (GHASTLY!!!!!!!) Talk about a deflation!!!!!!!!! (Or the opposite for some!!!!!)
How can you tell if a Linus blanket came from James Malm or Bob Thiel? (hint: smells like they wet the bed)
ReplyDeleteI have to laugh at the ineffectiveness of James Malm and his message. When I checked out his video there had only been 5 views. After I brought his idiocy to light, his film now has 166, all from readers here. It must really frost his legalistic butt to know that I have more influence than he does.
ReplyDeleteHe plays Church. Just like Thiel.
ReplyDeleteHWA and his rage and temper would have set them "straight" so fast and forcefully their heads would spin. Neither would EVER have been ordained to ANY ministerial position in HWA's Church.
Just the fact that they've got a few followers is only a testament to how far the church has fallen since it's glory days.
And yes - the fact that Banned is as influential as it is must perfectly pucker their poopers.
This is so hilarious! I thought Bob Thiel was the delicate one, but Pharisee Malm is worse. ROTFLMAO!
ReplyDeleteWell, to get "THE WORK" back on track, may I suggest a more appropriate all important Intro?
ReplyDeleteHow about an Ed McMahon sound alike to Intro Malm? To the sound of a live band, the announcer thunders, "The shining light starring Jimmy Malm. AND NOW, HEEEERRRREEEESSSS JIMMY!!"
AUDIENCE APPLAUDS as Jimmy Malm walks through the Thiel Curtains with a big smile and starts into his biblical monologue.
Bet my suggested Intro would get more views than the one he's got.

Kevin, on October 12, 2018 at 5:29 PM you wrote: “…Colossians was written to uncircumcised gentiles…”
ReplyDeleteWhy did you write that?
Col 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timotheus our brother,
:2 To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Whether circumcised or not, Paul wrote to an audience of saints and faithful brethren in Christ at Colosse. The people there were probably composed of circumcised, uncircumcised, tares, people just “passing through,” etc, but Paul wrote to saints and faithful brethren: sealed Firstfruits (FFs). Look at today’s congregations around the world…and the diversity that exists.
Regardless of who reads this letter by Paul, Col 2:13 you may apply to only the uncircumcised, but it applies to all sealed FFs, whether circumcised or not. Why not?
Your inquiring mind asked: “…please be the first to explain to me why the old covenant, Mt. Sinai law, the ten commandments had to be nailed to the cross in order for gentiles to be forgiven?…”
Sorry, I can’t do that b/c I didn’t say that and I don’t believe that. Why would God do away with a “way of life?” Why would God do away with a law He gave as a gift to ancient physical Israel; it was not given to the ancient Philistines, the Egyptians, USA, the world! Where there is no law, there is no sin: isn’t that true?
Because of what The God, the Father, did through His Son you will come to life again in a resurrection after you die once! Wasn’t it Christ who was nailed? God has unconditional love for this world! Why not?
We, to one degree or another, are learning to hate evil…….not people, not neighbors. Are we not?
We do not wrestle flesh and blood (Eph 6:12); is that not true? Or, did the Bible lie again?

ππππππππππππππππππππππππππππ^.
Because Paul specifically said that those whom he was writing to in Col. 2 were dead in the uncircumcision their flesh.
Col 2:13 - And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
Col 2:14 - Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
By your earlier statement about the law being against Malm and then your quoting Col. 2:14, putting CONTRARY TO in all caps, and the fact that Paul wrote this to uncircumcised gentiles (read vs 13 again), my question is, did God just give Israel his law or gentiles too?

Again I'm not defending Malm for he pushes the old Mt. Sinai covenant.

Jumping in with my two cents....
ReplyDeleteThe Law of the Spirit of Life in Jesus always has timelessly had superiority over the Law of Sin and Death. (Romans 8).
The Law of the Spirit of Life in Jesus Christ sets one free from the Law of Sin and death - revealed through faith by Christ in you. Armstrongism focused on the law of sin and death - using fear tactics of condemnation to increase the awareness of sin, and mixing grace and works to the peril of his followers.
What Armstrongism never taught - and never will teach - is the fullness and timelessness of the Law of the Spirit, which never condemns, rooted and established in love. When referencing and talking about "The Law", the question has to be, the Law of Moses - when the world was not reconciled to the Father, or the Law of the Spirit, through Christ, which reconciles to the Father. One through Moses, the other through Jesus. One that brings condemnation through law-breaking which increases sin's awareness, one that brings redemption and grace through Christ's becoming sin for us. (2 Cor 5:21)
Kevin
ReplyDeleteThe ten commandments are hard wired into the human mind. Which is why God holds even the gentiles nations accountable for their sins. Try reading the OT where God repeatedly punishes gentile nations with invading armies. Why would a just God do that unless they understood many of his commands such as don't steal, don't murder, don't commit adultery etc.
This is what happens when Herbs church gives decades of Kenneth Copeland type sermons. It's members even in their old age are still morally confused twits. People should confront their ministers and demand their tithe money back. Or perhaps they should sue the church, pointing out that they are still moral fools after giving vast amounts of money to their church.

October 15, 2018 at 7:57 PM"""
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
What is what happens when herbs church gives Copeland type sermons?
If you think I asked John the question because I don't know what God's law is then who is the twit?
The ten commandments are not "hard wired" into the human mind. If they were more people would be keeping the sabbath. Is that not one of the Ten Commandments?
The thing that's hard wired into the human mind is good and evil.
God gave his law to Adam and Eve. They were expected to teach their kids. When they sinned God pretty much played hands off since he had a plan to reconcile man. But God still expected Adam and Eve to teach their kids what was sin and what wasn't- i.e. God's law.
They did indeed teach their kids, which is why about 2,000 years later we find Abraham still obeying God's voice, his commandments, charge and law.
The law that I'm talking about was not the Mt. Sinai law, but the Mt. Sinai law was based off the law that I'm talking about. The Mt. Sinai law was more of a fence.
That's why in Gal. 3 we learn that the law, the one Adam and Eve taught their kids, was added as an additional covenant alongside the Promise covenant. The law, previously revelatory, at Sinai became regulatory.
In this added law, God's original law became more of a fence, a boundry, bondage if you will. The law which revealed and nothing more prior to Sinai had now become a condition, a covenant, a contract. Now if broken, rather than just being a sinner, an Israelite broke an actual contract with God.
This contract only lasted til Jesus came. Til the Seed should come as Gal. 3 says.
Now, after the contract with Israel has ended, the law has gone back to its original purpose of revealing what it sin.
This my friend is why the whole world are sinners. We have all broken God's law. We didn't formally have a contract with God, but he as our creator has every right to tell us what is sin and what isn't.
This is why I don't keep the Sabbath because of the fourth commandment, nor do I keep the feasts because of Lev. 23. I keep the Sabbath because Jesus said it was made for man and I keep the feasts because in the very beginning, in Gen. 1:14 God placed the sun and moon to be for moedim, feasts. And because they will be kept in the millennium.
I don't keep them by Mt. Sinai covenant rules, if I don't dwell in a sukkot, it doesn't matter because I'm not under that covenant. If I go to a restaurant on the Sabbath it doesn't matter, because I'm not under that covenant. If I stay home on the Sabbath or only meet on the high days of the feast, it doesn't matter because I'm not under that covenant.
What I do is between my God and myself. How I determine what to obey is between my God and myself. That goes for everyone else here and worldwide. No man or old covenant can tell you what to do, that is between your God and yourself!
The Ten Commandments are the words of the old Mt. Sinai covenant, anyone who keeps the Sabbath because the fourth commandment requires it is still under the old Mt. Sinai covenant. Anyone who keeps the feasts because of the Lev. 23 command is still under the old Mt. Sinai covenant.
Kevin
History shows that Noahide law is pretty much what is hardwired into the minds of mankind, and has been the basis or code for so many of the world's great civilizations. This would seem to be endorsed by Jesus, who did not reiterate the sabbath when outlining the keeping of the commandments. There's even a theory that the sabbath was lost when the Jews developed a fixed calendar and abandoned the lunar sabbath which was counted off from the new moon.
ReplyDeleteKevin McMillen, October 15, 2018 at 4:26 PM, said: "...By your earlier statement about the law being against Malm and then your quoting Col. 2:14, putting CONTRARY TO in all caps, and the fact that Paul wrote this to uncircumcised gentiles (read vs 13 again), my question is, did God just give Israel his law or gentiles too?..."
ReplyDeleteIsrael, ancient physical Israel, was created by God. God gave the gift of His law to them, and them alone.
Gentiles is referring to peoples, nations.
God knew Israel:
Amos 2:1 "Hear this word that the LORD hath spoken against you, O children of Israel, against the whole family which I brought up from the land of Egypt, saying,"
:2 "You only have I known of all the families of the earth..."
Israel, of and by itself, could never and would never on its own repent. God does things decently and in order...and it is God who determines who will be given/granted repentance. Self can't do it!
Acts 5:29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.
30 The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree.
31 Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to GIVE repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.
When will ancient physical Israel be given that repentance by God?
After they come up in the 2nd resurrection. There is no need for any 3rd resurrection.
And yes, uncircumcised Gentiles, were among the "...the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse:..." Col 1:2
Now, if God wasn't going to give repentance to Israel until after the coming of that Prince/Saviour (Acts 5:31 cited above), then when do you think God would grant repentance to the Gentiles that you have in mind? Before Israel? After Israel?
We know that before Paul concentrated on working with any Gentiles, that God first revealed to Peter by vision several times that God was no respecter of persons:
Acts 10:34 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons..."
God had determined it was time to go to the Gentiles. The Jews and Gentiles were to learn to stop being racist and prejudiced towards each other. They had yet to learn that flesh wrestling flesh is not the problem (Eph 6:12). They were all learning to hate evil; they had their noses rubbed in it. Sound anything like today's world?
God has unconditional love for all human beings, but His Plan of Salvation to save all humanity and subsequently take and destroy Satan and his angels is all part of a process over a very long period of time. It is still ongoing...
Time will tell.
John
Kevin asks whether the Sabbath is hard wired into the human mind? I can't verify this from personal experience since I've kept the Sabbath from childhood. Most likely there is a mental 'bias' towards keeping a weekly day of rest.
ReplyDeleteAt any rate, personal experience proves that taking one day a week off results in overall greater productivity.
Kevin, you, like most Christians, you don't seem to understand the purpose of a moral code. This issue arose when Christ was condemned for healing on the Sabbath. Christ replied that the purpose of a moral code is the preservation of life and the achievement of success ('do good and save life'). Following gardening rules is a good example of this. There's a reason for the do's and do nots. Changing a cars engine oil on a regular basis is another. All this old covenant, new covenant debate seems to miss this.
Kevin McMillen, October 15, 2018 at 4:31 PM, replied to my earlier comment of "Why would God do away with a law He gave as a gift to ancient physical Israel; it was not given to the ancient Philistines, the Egyptians, USA, the world! Who else could you speak as? I have no idea what Paul would speak as if it were "as a woman."
Alright, you asked: "...does that mean no gentile ever sinned?..."
All, including Gentiles, have sin dwelling within in the way Paul told us:
"Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me." Romans 7:17
Huh? Here, let Paul tell us again, but with different words:
:20 "Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me."

&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&
Don't you understand what Paul meant when he said that? "I speak as a man". He was either being facetious or mocking. He wasn't serious. That's why I said it, because I wasn't seriously asking if gentiles had never sinned. duhh
Good bye, you do not understand God's law or why it was given.
1Ti 1:7 - Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.

Gods laws are always present, whether they are 'given' or not.
ReplyDeleteTitus 3:9
ReplyDelete"But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and arguments and quarrels about the law, because these are unprofitable and useless."
The one thing Paul urged Titus not to do seems to be irresistible to do. In COG circles, nothing is harder to avoid doing - myself included - then to avoid controversies, genealogies, arguments, and quarrels about the law. Because the Law was the center of our lives as members of Armstrongism. Things don't change - the same arguments back then still rear their heads now. Especially with us who listened to the doctrines of Herbert Armstrong and his constant arguments with everyone who disagreed with him about the Law.

Personally, in Titus 3, I see as the bigger points:
1. He saved us (v.5)
2. We are justified by his grace (v.7)
3. We should devote ourselves to doing good. (v.1)
Sounds like a winning formula, no matter what we think or don't think about the Law.

The last sentence is perplexing. If you are saved and justified by grace wouldn’t it follow that you would think highly of the law:
Ro 13:8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled [pleroo] the law.
Ro 13:9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. (Quoting Lev 19:18).
Ro 13:10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling [pleroo] of the law.
This refers to the second great commandment.
Eze 20:37 And I will cause you to pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant:
Eze 20:40 For in mine holy mountain, in the mountain of the height of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, there shall all the house of Israel, all of them in the land, serve me: there will I accept them, and there will I require your offerings [terumot], and the firstfruits of your oblations, with all your holy things.
In the new covenant, the second covenant, as part of the first great commandment, God and Jesus Christ will “require” from the house of Israel their “offerings [terumot], and the firstfruits of your oblations, with all your holy things.”
Eze 45:13 This is the oblation [teruma] that ye shall offer; the sixth part of an ephah of an homer of wheat, and ye shall give the sixth part of an ephah of an homer of barley:
Eze 45:14 Concerning the ordinance of oil, the bath of oil, ye shall offer the tenth part of a bath out of the cor, which is an homer of ten baths; for ten baths are an homer:
Eze 45:15 And one lamb out of the flock, out of two hundred, out of the fat pastures of Israel; for a meat offering, and for a burnt offering, and for peace offerings, to make reconciliation for them, saith the Lord GOD.
“The actual teruma instructions break down into three parts, regulating the taxing of grain, olive oil, and sheep, respectively, for the regular ritual sacrifices... teruma is used nontechnically for those gifts that are donated for the regular sacrifices... The concluding statement indicates that these contributions are to be used for the grain (minha), whole burnt (‘ola), and peace (selamim) offerings...” (Daniel I. Block, The Book of Ezekiel Chapters 1-24, NICOT, p.659).
Eze 45:16 All the people of the land shall give this oblation [teruma] for the prince in Israel.
Eze 45:17 And it shall be the prince's [nasi’] part to give burnt offerings, and meat offerings, and drink offerings, in the feasts, and in the new moons, and in the sabbaths, in all solemnities of the house of Israel: he shall prepare the sin offering, and the meat offering, and the burnt offering, and the peace offerings, to make reconciliation for the house of Israel.
“These verse represent an added note clarifying the role of the nasi’ in these teruma offerings... he must provide the victims/produce for all the sacrifices, which are listed in one of the most comprehensive catalogues in the OT: purification offering (hatta’t), grain offering (minha), burnt offering (‘ola), peace offering (selamim), and libations nesek)...” (Daniel I. Block, The Book of Ezekiel Chapters 1-24, NICOT, p.659).
While in what is called the OT, these sacrifices are for the New Covenant. (The trespass/reparation offering (Eze 40:39) is not mentioned in 45:17 as it is not a public sacrifice.
