  2. David Pack is nuts. I really believe he is. I’m not a psychologist, but I think he suffers from ‘Delusion of Grandeur’. According to health websites this is the definition:

“Delusions of grandeur vary greatly in their content, but they are similar to one another in that they involve the persistent believe in one’s own grandiosity. Common examples of delusions of grandeur include that one has a special relationship with a supernatural entity. Cult leaders, for example, might believe they can communicate with a god or that they are a manifestation of a god on earth.”

That’s the perfect description of David Pack!

And I feel sorry for his wife and kids. I feel sorry for all those people around him in Wadsworth. I feel sorry for all the RCG members. Because “Delusion of Grandeur’ almost always goes hand in hand with other mental health issues, such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorders..

Can you imagine what it must be like to live/work in close proximity of him? That must be a nightmare..

  3. Well, it seems as if all of the Armstrong groups have forgotten key elements of the prophecy mold which they had at one time used to "warn the world" of the end times.

Dave Pack, if I understand correctly, appears to be teaching that Jesus returns to the wrong city, and does so before the two witnesses or the rebuilt temple come into play in Jerusalem.

I will also never understand how having a conservative Republican president in office causes COG leaders to negate a disease epidemic, and climate change that are actually happening right now, events which look mighty like some of the elements described in the book of Revelation, and to chalk them up to fake news or hysteria! I don't personally believe that we are living in the end times, but now the people who do, when they see the things they have long forecast actually happening, are writing it off as "fake news which undermines the president and diminishes our way of life." That makes no sense at all. How did their heads get so turned around??? Maybe they just realize that they have lost the power they used to have in a unified media voice before all of the ego splintering kicked into play, and therefore it really doesn't matter any more?

Also, If you tell somebody not to take something seriously, not to take proper precautions, and that laxness you have recommended results in their death, doesn't that make you a murderer?

  4. Will Davy admit he was wrong, he misunderstood, was misled, got a tiny detail wrong, blame his council for agreeing with him, or he was given more time, whatever, or move on and just pretend nothing happened? Well, the last option was true, nothing happened.

  5. As for other COG predictions, apart from fuss over government interference in attending services, there was no massive national repentance (as far as I'm aware) and mournful hordes seeking the COG of their choice.

  6. Possibly undiagnosed Bipolar disorder with grandiosity. It is tragic the damage caused by some of these self proclaimed prophets. Maybe if Dante was alive today he would add another punishment chamber to the Divine Comedy & it would have some of these phoney ministers having to sit thru a never ending Gerald Waterhouse sermon.

  8. The song says it all - and he'll probably keep on trying! But he needs take the advice of Dr Venkman in Ghostbusters II, and set his target dates further in the future, and like Bob Thiel, put in a lot of wiggle room.

And over at Arroyo Grande, Bob seems to be ecstatic about his 'predictions' regarding the 'troubles' caused by COVID-19. He still needs to sharpen his skills on timing and being more specific - and he, too, will keep on trying.

    “COMMON” THEFT.

The only thing that ever worked for him.

  10. Dave Pack's victims do not have the spirit of truth and of wisdom and of a sound mind helping them.

Instead, they have other spirits (i.e., Satan and his demons) tormenting them and laughing at them.
