UCG: Look at us! We "socially distanced" but are still preaching the same old crap. Woo Hoo!

Screenshot of recent filming

The boys in Cincinnati want you to know that they are socially distancing during the live filming of their podcasts...though inquiring minds want to know - where are the masks?

They seem pleased at the topics of their recent episodes, though it looks like the same tired worn out crap that has been preached about for decades. It is almost 2021 and one would think they could come up with new material.

Yesterday we recorded three more Beyond Today television programs with a studio audience consisting of our Ambassador Bible College class. The programs were "Human Identity and the Family of God" by Darris McNeely, "Why Do Good People Suffer?" by Steve Myers and "Beware the Mark of the Beast" by Gary Petty.

Their "faith" is also being challenged by the COVID restrictions that limit the Feast of Tabernacles' locations, attendance, and procedures this year. All first-world problems for an elitist COG group. Especially, while they have members in Africa who may walk half or full-day journey's to be at a Feast location (like they have bragged about happening in the past). Yet, the boys whine about U.S. restrictions.

Never fear though, UCG's CORRECT version of prophecy has all of this under control. Bob Thiel, be damned, we have it right!

We live in an era of fear, anxiety and uncertainty. But we in the Church of God are blessed with understanding—especially prophetic understanding—that brings peace and calmness. We can withstand and overcome trials in part because we confidently know that whatever season of life we are in, we will come out of it, We will win.

  2. I could only count about 15 people in the audience. Is that all there is attending ABC or just a portion of the total number attending ABC? Or just 1 class?

  3. UCG and the rest of the COG have a pressing message of irrelevance that the whole world will disregard. Thank you for socially distancing and keeping the cult small in most areas :D

  5. eh, the whole mask thing has been blown so out or proportion...masks do very little, if anything, to protect you, but it makes you feel good.

looking at the numbers, locals that instituted strict mask rules and lockdowns went on to have the largest outbreaks....and yes, the outbreaks came after the rules went into effect.

Could I please see your degree in virology? My daughter says the opposite and she has a Phd in Immunology and Microbial Pathogenesis. She has done many studies using cough dummies measuring the droplets with and without masks.

The reason there are major ourbreaks, and the reason the U.S. statistics are so high is that we're a people who don't want to be told what to do. Therefore we're our own worst enemies at times. Then there are pathetic people who want to blame Trump for their own stubbornness. See Pelosi video getting her hair done. Double standard!

Or my favorite word to describe most people today is "selfish"!!! Including you!

    You are right.

Masks are known to give a false sense of security.

On the other hand it signals to people to "keep out of the way", maintain a distance, do not sing next to me, or plaster me with your mucus.

  8. "But we in the Church of God are blessed with understanding—especially prophetic understanding—that brings peace and calmness. We can withstand and overcome trials in part because we confidently know that whatever season of life we are in, we will come out of it, We will win".

Having myself heard at a young age and early in my tenure in the WCG, Herbert Armstrong declared that the war in heaven had taken place recently. After services no one was the least bit moved to even mention it. For myself, I kept looking over the next few months for signs of the rapid progression of end time events for which nothing happened.

Peace and calmness along with confidence has nothing to do with a perceived assurance of prophecy. The Acts 2 question of "will you at this time" was answered by Christ definitively; it is not given unto you to know the times and seasons.

Slumbering, sleeping, eating, drinking, marrying, buying and selling, planting, building and seeking to save ones life are answered with encountering a thief or sudden destruction or even left behind by Jesus Christ.

For a leader of a COG to teach that peace and calmness and confidence comes from believing in what instead of whom only magnifies their self perception and self learnedness.

Some forty years later the prophetic understanding and timing of the war in heaven has been a complete failure. Some 30 years later and Mr. Kubiak is leading his membership into the same complete failure of general prophetic understanding.

  9. Im starting a new TV show for the COG...

  10. Masks are helpful on those with covid. On those that don’t, The masks probably increase the viral load on someone that passed thru an infected sneeze or cough.

    ReplyDelete
  11. It is not hard to social distance when most COG congregations are less then 50 and scattered hundreds of miles apart.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Several OOGs let people go without masks in their seats during services. So doing it during a TV taping shouldn't be surprising. After all, it's not like they sing hymns there.

But not all is improving in UCG, if they've already called off Winter Family Weekend.

  13. The virus goes through all masks because the virus is micro sized. However masks do cut down on the spaying effect while breathing or talking ect. Maybe instead of a 6 feet spray it is cut down to a 3 foot spray. This however gives a false sense of safety and results in people getting closer and less socially distant negating the positive results of the mask. Also people will tend to congregate in larger numbers because of the false sense of security. While wearing a mask does help stop the spread of the virus it is not as effective as many think it is in stopping the spread of covid 19.

  14. Jim, where's your degree in virology? Same to you 4:42am?

Neither of you know what you're talking about!

  16. The UCG and “social distancing”: The godless people who hang out at the UCG are anti-social. The UCG keeps the stalkers and kicks out their victims. The newly-credentialed, fake, UCG “ministers” raise their children to marry completely outside of the church.

The UCG and where we are in Bible prophecy: The Laodicea era. That is why the newly-credentialed, fake, UCG “ministers” like to wear black shirts that HWA never would have approved of rather than white ones.

The UCG and Victor Kubik: Former apostate Tkach goon now running the UCG gong show.

The UCG since the 2010 COGWA split: A haunt of demons and every unclean thing.

  17. 7:54,
Just stop. You don’t need a virology degree to know how a mask works. I know more about filtration than a virologist. Where is your theology degree? Yet, you talk about the Bible. There are doctor friends i have that have similar opinions as mine. But, perhaps you and I should not even leave posts as i suspect neither of us have communication degrees.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Oh I see the daughter of 7:10 is an expert.

Perhaps the misunderstanding is that she works with the "medical filter masks" and the common people with the "7 eleven" ones.

    Nck

    ReplyDelete
  19. Perhaps it is not necessary to put too much ‘faith’ in the ‘experts;’ they sometimes cannot respond to the simplest of questions:

Lk 14:3 Jesus asked the Pharisees and experts in the law,“Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath or not?”
Lk 14:4 But they remained silent. So taking hold of the man, he healed him and sent him away.
Lk 14:5 Then he asked them, “If one of you has a son or an ox that falls into a well on the Sabbath day, will you not immediately pull him out?”
Lk 14:6 And they had nothing to say. (NIV).

  20. Jim, no one has ever hinted that masks can prevent covid so your rhetoric is pointless. There's no doubt that masks can slow the spread. Only a selfish fool would doubt this and refuse to wear one. Also, I seriously doubt that you can make me stop anything!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Jim, also do you really think that your reference to "Doctor friends" really means anything? The average IQ of medical doctors is only 120. Not that high. Before you come back with a snide remark about my IQ, it's been officially tested and it's in the top 1%. That would be a minimum of 135. Of course we know that IQ gets pooh-poohed by those with a low IQ.

    ReplyDelete
  22. 2:25am A typical response from a non-expert.

  23. 9:13,

Haha, think what you want and I'll do the same. But, Anon 4:42 and myself are correct regarding the physical nature of the masks. You should reread what we said and not extrapolate to what we did not say. What portion of what was actually said do you disagree with? Neither of us said there was no occasion for the wearing of masks.

    ReplyDelete
  24. If I'm not particularly impressed by the opinion of your virologist, I'm not going to be particularly impressed with my "doctor friends". But, I was playing the same credential game you were. We all will have to count on our own faculties at some point after hopefully receiving and analyzing input. I wish high IQ was enough to make the right decisions, but it isn't and can sometimes get in the way.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Here:s what I disagree with:

"This however gives a false sense of safety and results in people getting closer and less socially distant negating the positive results of the mask. Also people will tend to congregate in larger numbers because of the false sense of security."

Generalizations are never accurate. The real reason people "get closer" in this country isn't a false sense of safety but because for the most part we're a people who don't want to be told what to do, unlike many in other countries who re willing to obey their governments.

That's most likely why our numbers are greater than others. If the numbers are to be believed. If people are too stupid to understand that masks aren't a 100% fool proof guarantee against infection then that's their problem. Masks slow the spread, they don't stop it.

It's ignorant assumptions like the one I quoted above that I have a problem with.

What a load of crap you put there.

No country people allowed the "safety" and surveillance measures foisted upon themselves that Americans begged for after 911. Except perhaps the Britons who have more cameras per square mile than any other.

And they call former NSA analysts like Snowden, who speak out on big brother "traitors".

    Then the Cold War.
Under Eisenhower the Soviet Union had FOUR Atomic bombs and THE PEOPLE allowed the US government to triple defense spending to 22.000 atomic bombs.

No people on earth obeys their government more than the Americans except those under tyranny.

So, since many here need "my point" to be spelled out.

  32. Again.

The current Covid distress in both the US and England is a function of the respective governments failure to lead.

I raise you both China and Sweden that have virtually erradicated Covid as of today, although I'm sure it will return this fall.

Especially China is perhaps the most interesting case.

I know many of you are extremely stupid. Not because I am that smart, but because the simplest of concepts get rejected here.

I don't like myself talking. I'm just having s lot of fun when I post widely accepted concepts and ideas and see them rejected. It's really like see a toddlers bumping their noses. They dont affect me, its just funny.

Also I am not trying to impress anyone. I' m just more openly sharing private things than the extreme cowards and nobodies like 1:34. (just testing if a discussion talking to myself is funny to me, results of this test are pending)

    Ok, my point.

If one argues that the Americans are prone to not abide to their governments edicts rather than being led in a deficient way one gives room for the thesis that "blaming the church" for troubles rather than its leaders is acceptable or biblical.

    Nck

    ReplyDelete
  34. Wow Nck you've just proven how ignorant you really are. You actually believe China's reported covid numbers? Hilarious. Sweden? Did you not see Sweden's case fatality rate on the link that I provided?

    6.81%

Widely accepted concepts? What a hoot. I guess you always follow the majority. What a fool.

Yes, the church (the falsely called laity) is to blame just as much as the leaders. Again, you're a fool if you disagree with that!

  36. "Again.

The current Covid distress in both the US and England is a function of the respective governments failure to lead."

Wrong!!! It's because of the failure of the media doing their job reporting news rather than opining on everything.

I agree with you on one point, most American's are ignorant, just as most in the U.K. are, and most of this world.

They, like you, are so willing/eager to follow someone that they believe everything they're told by the media. Ignorant people are influenced more by the media than any government leader!

Don't believe everything you hear about the U.S. citizenry, you're hearing what the media want you to hear. Come to rural America and see what it's really like.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Come on Ncky,
You can do better than that.
The U.S. has actually done better than one might expect given the age of its population, diversity, obesity, travel, individualism, and Cuomo and other progressive Northeast governors basically killing an extra 30k or so elderly white nursing home residents by putting covid positive patients into the nursing homes (criminal really). Sweden was also negligent with their elderly and have almost an identical fatality rate as U.S. (given the general fitness of their population it should be much lower). I'm not particularly confident about the numbers coming out of China, but no matter.

The countries with high Hispanic populations have been hit the hardest. South/Central American countries and Mexico and Spain have high fatality rates. The U.S. has a high population of hispanics (17% and under the age of 75 there have almost been as many hispanics succumb to covid as white Americans; also true for black Americans (13%) but not so much in Africa-- where obesity is not as prevalent and ages are younger). Huge racial disparity in U.S. fatality rates. This should have been addressed earlier, but everyone wants to treat the races the same no matter what, which resulted in more minority deaths (a not uncommon progressive result).

In fact, if you take away the extra nursing home victims (mostly over 80 and white) that Cuomo and his ilk killed, the U.S. white population has a death rate of around 260 deaths/million which is similar to Canada and Switzerland which are almost all white.

We can mix into the equation the U.S. obesity (often concomitant with diabetes and hypertension) problem which is widely known to be even more prevalent in our black population and hispanic population. Sadly, the U.S. death rate of blacks and hispanics is around 1000/million (I think primarily due to obesity and diabetes). Based on the patients he has seen, one of those "doctor friends" I know said he would rather be 70 and fit with covid than 35 with covid and significantly obese.

Our American individualism does have an effect too due to more travel, more mixing, and less masks which do lower the spread a bit if on someone who actually has covid though does not really provide protection when a cough or particles land on your mask-- your nose will produce the positive air pressure to pull it right through the mask and into your nose (cheers!).

The shooting ranges are crowded here in the U.S.; good outdoor socially distanced sport when you have the ammo that is flying off the store shelves. Seems the perfect activity for quite a few citizens during this time of pandemic and unrest.

Kinda trying out a Nck tone but hoping my point is obvious without explicitly giving it. Still, the U.S. is simply different than other countries. We are not as homogeneous as other countries and we do put more emphasis on individual rights. So, we will often have mixed results particularly when statistics are used without analysis (not directing this toward you Nck, just adding some texture that you and others might appreciate).

The United boys are stuck in the past glory days of wcg. They would have had something new had Mark Mickelson not departed from the United Ass. for another organization. United's loss was another organization's gain. United will stay stuck striving to do it "their way."

Additinally, Victor Kubik said: "...We live in an era of fear, anxiety and uncertainty. But we in the Church of God are blessed with understanding—especially prophetic understanding—that brings peace and calmness..."

What prophetic understanding does Victor have in mind? A Mickey Mouse Millennium with another Jesus "very soon" reigning on earth for 1,000 years and than failing shortly after Satan exits the pit and the four corners of the earth are again deceived. Where will Victor and his little helpers be at that time?

Prophetic understanding? I think I'd rather read one of Jonathan Cahn's latest books than anything the United Ass. could come up with, or any of false prophet Bob Thiel has to write or anything Doug Winnail continues to repeat from his previous messages. New material from Vic, Bobby, Doug? Forget it. Don't hold your breath.

    And time will tell...
