Part 299
Dave delivered Part 299, a 30-minute message this past Saturday night. After another failed predicted date for Christ’s return the day prior, he has a new revelation that points undoubtedly to Christ’s return on March 23rd or the faithful will need to wait another year.
Dave states: "Now, everything you know, is summarized in three facts. Everything! The first half of the year is 1,290 days, and it ends at Trumpets in 2024. Meaning Abib 10 (When Christ returns), sometime on March 23rd! Number two. We eat the Passover with Christ on Abib 14. This is when God and Christ appear together in glory with all saints. Three, the "gap" between the 1290 and Passover is 84 hours. Those are your "pole stars." Those are your touchstones. Those are Jachin and Boaz. They're the two pillars. Abib 10, "the coming," and Passover and a half a week in between. Now, if Tuesday comes and goes, then it would appear we wait another year."
I do not know he keeps setting dates and then it fails like in a way it's good to set dates. Because without setting dates anyone could say it is the end of days but when someone keeps giving failed dates it shows they are false and it is time to move on.
ReplyDeleteWhat?!
ReplyDeleteJC didn’t return?! But, but, but.. Dave told us He would!
Could it maybe be the case that Dave is a lying maniac? Asking for a friend.
I think all the posts DP makes points to a full blown mental illness, probably bi-polar. I sincerely hope that part of his family that isn't in the church can get a court order to have him evaluated by a psychiatrist about his mental state, because his latest rants remind we of the way Jim Jones behaved right before the Jonestown tragedy.
DeletePacks weird but completely different to Jim Jones.
DeleteRead up in Jim Jones. There's not that much difference between the two of them.
DeleteReasoning by someone like Pack could be "He did come, we just didn't recognize it"! There is no end to the imaginings of a nut job!
ReplyDeleteExactly Tonto.
DeleteMaybe the new apocalyptic Millerites are taking a page out of Gilbert Cranmer's (Church of God, Seventh Day) book. He regarded the Great Disappointment of 1844 as an inspiring experience (https://second.wiki/wiki/gilbert_cranmer):
ReplyDelete". . . faced with a new disappointment at not seeing the second coming of Jesus Christ realized, Gilbert Cranmer was part of the so-called Great Disappointment where, unlike many other followers of the movement, he did not abandon the Millerite group and continued in communication for a future organization, as he still thought that the return of Jesus Christ was imminent, Gilbert Cranmer himself expresses in number 1 of The Hope of Israel :
"'At last God removed his hand and light broke in upon our minds, and we discovered that our disappointment was in perfect harmony with the teachings of the prophets.'"
If Christ doesn't come, claim enlightenment and just cook up a new prophecy. It's an ancient and tattered Millerite technique.

No why don't you read up on Jim Jones instead. Phinnpoy sounds a little too eager for a tragedy to happen.
