It's another day in COGland and another crackpot self-appointed prophet has set sights on a future date for the tribulation and the coming of his creature he likes to call "christ", but not before "BLASTING" other self-appointed prophets for being false prophets.
The Great Bwana to the Continent of Africa and Chief Overseer of 299 Caucasians, is ridiculing how wrong some Christan doomsayers were/are, including Dave Pack and Gerald Flurry, over their string of failed prophecies while boasting that he has been right on every single thing he has ever said. Though, like any good self-appointed prophet, Bwana Bob ignores his own lies while condemning theirs.
Each year, various ones point to their predictions and/or calculations as to when they believe the Great Tribulation (Matthew 24:21) will begin.
Consider, for example, that although some claimed that the blood moons in 2014 and 2015 may have marked the beginning, I correctly denounced that years ago and was proven right. I also denounced the so-called Shemitah year and the claimed devastation that was supposed to hit the world economy, etc. in late 2015, and again was right. On January 1, 2017, I blasted the idea of the claimed ‘Jubilee of 2017″ would mark the end. Furthermore, I blasted the idea that the solar eclipse of August 21, 2017 or Planet Nibiru would begin the tribulation or destroy the Earth. I also denounced the view that because of the formation of the tiny nation of Israel in 1948, that the Great Tribulation needed to start 70 years later, like in 2018. Some wrongly claimed that something from the “Sabbatical Code” as well as a shemita-decree calculation or a message from Fatima predicted 2019. Some pointed to astronomy and even John 20″20 as proof for 2020 as the beginning, but this was denounced as well.
It's hilarious that he assumes he is the one true authority in denouncing these foolish speculations when myriads of scientists, Christian ministries, and others were and still are doing the exact same thing. All Bob ever does is ride in on the coattails of others and then pretend to take the accolades as if he is the most intelligent human God has ever placed on this earth (after Dave pack, of course).
Bwana Bob claims that even though these guys were all wrong, that time is actually short and the crap is soon to hit the fan. His excuse for this is:
1 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! (2 Timothy 3:1-5)
The problem with quoting this, especially from a COG self-appointed prophet is that it perfectly describes the current leadership of the Church of God today, INCLUDING Bwana Bob! Never have we seen such a harem of men who are such lovers of themselves, boasters, blasphemers, unholy, unforgiving brutal, headstrong, and haughty men as we have today leading the Churches of God.
The Great Bwana goes on to ridicule Wade Cox...
The unitarian Wade Cox reportedly believes that the sixth trumpet (which comes years after the 5th seal and the start of the Great Tribulation) could be sounded already and Jesus could come in 2022:
and Gerald Flurry and Dave Pack
I have seen one claim that the Great Tribulation will begin March 6, 2021 and end September 16, 2024, but that is not possible. Another has speculated that it will start during Passover in 2021 (that which begins after sunset March 26 2021). Again, not possible.
While all of these COG leaders are wrong, Bwana Bob is not and sets his own dates.
While we are close to the end of the 6,000 years, having read all of those “fathers,” I do not believe that they specified 2028, only that there was a 6,000 year plan.
A true prophet of God realizes that any who claim prior to 2024 are in error. There is NO possibility that the Great Tribulation will begin in 2021, 2022, or 2023 nor that Jesus will return before 2028.
There is no possibility that the Great Tribulation can happen in 2021 or 2022 and those who rely on the Bible have realized this. It is only those who overlook scripture and rely on their own views and/or false traditions who make the mistake of thinking that the Great Tribulation can, or could, happen in 2021.
Therefore, while the Great Tribulation is coming, it will not begin in 2024.
Christians, Philadelphian ones, are to understand Jesus said tribulation related events tie in with Daniel. Yet, most who profess Christ do not fully get it. Anyway, after Daniel 11:31 and the fleeing (Matthew 24:15; Revelation 12:14-17), the Great Tribulation begins:
21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened. (Matthew 24:21-22)
Bwana Bob will end up like Dave Pack and will keep moving the goalposts as his dates all come and go and he is still sitting in his depressing little storefront in Grover Beach peddling quack holistic medicines while still thumping his big thick bible in front of his dingy curtains and crooked bookcases as he bounces in his chair and flails his arms trying to impress us.This cannot possibly happen before 2022 and I do not believe the Great Tribulation can start before 2025.
Potential Thiel Quote: "Im better than Pack and Flurry, because they are infinitely wrong, and Im only very much wrong, and therefore better by comparison".
ReplyDeletethose who overlook scripture and rely on their own views and/or false traditions
ReplyDeleteWhat a hoot, coming from a Great Bwana who thinks he is observing the Feast of Booths by staying in a hotel room, instead of staying in a temporary dwelling that he built from the same kinds of branches the residents of Jerusalem waved at Jesus when He entered the city at the end of His ministry.
Bob is a slave to his own views and to false traditions not just of HWA but even of the Mayans and the Catholics.

ReplyDeleteAnyone can throw scriptures around. What's your point.
I blasted the idea that the solar eclipse of August 21, 2017 or Planet Nibiru would begin the tribulation or destroy the Earth.
ReplyDeleteAnne Graham Lotz's ministry had a message on radio a couple of weekends ago about the 2017 solar eclipse. She said the weeks that followed "America's eclipse" brought two major hurricanes to the U.S., along with two devastating wildfires in California and two major earthquakes in Mexico.
"Is God trying to tell us something?" she asked in response to it.
I personally wasn't sure what to make of Lotz's words. No, Earth wasn't destroyed. But troublesome things indeed happened.
When Bob denounces prophecies of others, he is supposed to be applauded as God's true spokesman. When Banned denounces his prophecies, it is supposed to be condemned as anti-God and anti-COG.
ReplyDeleteRe: My 7:01 PM comment - for the "Sheldon Coopers" in the audience, I was being sarcastic.
ReplyDelete"Each year, various ones point to their predictions and/or calculations as to when they believe the Great Tribulation . . . will begin."
ReplyDeleteI know that The Great Tribulation forms the heart of the apocalyptic Millerite "gospel." But The Great Tribulation is surrounded by problematical interpretations in Armstrongism and some branches of evangelical Christianity. I believe there is more than reasonable doubt that the Great Tribulation was intended to be an end time event. Typology (the use of type-antitype or the continuity of symbolism) is a licit hermeneutic but applying it to prophecy is a matter of speculation rather than "the Bible tells me so." There yet remains a burden of proof on the typologists - they just cannot pull typology out of their hip pockets as if it were a standalone proof.
Also that John wrote Revelation in about 95 AD is just based on an ambiguous sentence in the writings of Irenaeus - the guy who wrote that Jesus died when he was "about fifty." The events recounted in the text of Revelation indicate that John (or whoever) wrote Revelation prior to 70 AD (this is a lengthy discussion). Hence, the events he described were fulfilled in 70 AD which comports with Jesus' statement that "this generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled" (a reference to the events connected to the destruction of the Temple but not the Parousia, see Acts 3:19-21).
All the latter day Victor Houteffs to the contrary, the Great Tribulation happened in 70 AD. Get over it. (Maybe the Gospel is really about something else. Possible?)

ReplyDeleteThat appears true so long as Bwana Bob remains alive, b/c:
Bob has been living under tribulation all of his life, says Jesus Christ, and apparently Bobby has not realized that:
"These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." John 16:33
Bob, currently under tribulation, is snared, but how?
"And [that] they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will." 2 Tim 2:26
That "thing" exercises a "will" in Bobby's life with his false prophecies and lies.
Bob still believes in "the Great Tribulation" to happen soon, so that his "another Jesus" will then shortly return thereafter to reign on earth for 1,000 years. Bob will be disappointed along with numerous others as they continue to believe in "another gospel" provided by "another spirit." Which spirit?
"In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ..." 2 Corinthians 4:4
Bobby's gospel is not a glorious gospel at all, but a false one provided by another spirit: that god of this world: a father of lies!
"Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy?" James 4:5
Bobby does not have to look very far to find the lusts of that spirit dwelling within, and also Bobby, whether he can admit it or not, cannot cease from sin. Huh?
"He that committeth sin is of the devil;..." I John 3:8
Almost sounds like what goes around comes around thingy.
When will Bwana Bobby, like Pack, Flurry, Winnail, Weston, Franks, Weinland, Kubik et al, hirelings of the former wcg cease their lying to us about their versions of some Mickey Mouse Millennium and "the Great Tribulation?"
Time will tell...

ReplyDeleteThere was no 200 million army in 70 AD, neither did Christ personally return to destroy the Beast and False Prophet.
Anonymous (12:00)
ReplyDeleteIf you read a little further you will find that the army of 200 million are supernatural beings not human cavalry.
The beast may have been Nero and the false prophet (or second beast) may have been the Roman Imperial Cult that encouraged the worship of the emperor as a god. This was all pre-70AD. As long as there is a plausible explanation in historical context why should we believe the complex futurist machinations of apocalytic Millerism.
As for the outcome for the Beast and False Prophet - I don't know what Christ did with them other than what it says in Revelation. Why would you assume that humans would witness this outcome and know what happened with them?
Trying to figure out the book of Revelation is an endless endeavor. There is a reason why only about half the church believed it should be included in the canon in the time of Athanasius. I think Gregory of Nyssa said that the book was not really scripture. Yet it is the hardcore, center of the Bible for apocalyptic Millerites. Go figure.

ReplyDeleteWhile Bob was in the LCG he became a specialist in Prophecy and Church History, as interpreted through BI and Church Eras, and attempting to be a thorn in the side of the Catholic Church (apparently to fulfil prophecy, prompted by Rod). Although he wrote that he reluctantly took the job of keeping Rod on track, one of his gripes was that when he found inconspicuous differences in opinion in Church History and expected LCG to toss out thousands of booklets and reprint them with his corrections.
ReplyDeleteAs the sole proprietor of a COG, he still sticks to his specialties, Prophecy, Church History, and being "anti-Catholic". But outside this realm, he's lost and speculating, with lots of misunderstandings of non-Armstrongist exegesis. And he needs to learn how to make a decent video that can keep an audience interested...
Anonymous (10:27) wrote: "A third of mankind was not killed by any sort of 200 million army in 70 AD."
ReplyDeleteThe Greek for "of mankind" is ἀνθρώπων (anthropon) and just means "of men". It seems to be globalized by some translators into "mankind" or "humankind". I am not sure why. I would subscribe to the idea that a third of men were killed in the environs of Jerusalem in 70AD.
The real question is whether the six seals are future or are a part of the 70AD scenario. I am not a full preterist. I believe that parts of Revelation, if the book can be believed at all, are future. The six seals may fall into that future part of the timeline. I would have to look at it further sometime. It's not important. If you're a Christian your priorities are elsewhere. But it is of interest to Millerite prophecy weenies.
What I am saying (the original issue) is that the Tribulation happened already. If you want, you can address these questions to clarify your side of the debate:
1. How do the six seals relate to The Great Tribulation, if at all?
2. What is the rule for placing some events in Revelation in the future and others in the past? After all the author himself said these things he wrote "must shortly come to pass."
Further, explain why the author lied about the timing.
Since, as Splinterists, your heart and soul is bound up in prophecy, you have probably already considered these issues and have a ready answer.

ReplyDeleteNo, the author did not lie. Rather, that generation believed that Christ would return during their lifetime. I don't really need to untangle the intellectual knots that people throw out on this matter. The holy spirit has affirmed to me more than once that the tribulation is real and not far off.

9:36 I was thinking the same about NEO and John - like a scratched record they go on about a Mickey Mouse Millennium and Millerite prophecy respectively.
ReplyDeleteJust for the record: (also I don’t accept partial preterism, though creatively argued).
ReplyDelete"Bible prophecy regularly exhibits this characteristic of telescoping the future, so that the more distant event appears to merge with the nearer so as to become indistinguishable from it" (Joyce G. Baldwin, Daniel, TOTC, p.202).
In the Olivet discourse, in Jesus’ reply to the disciples he ‘telescopes’ together the destruction of the Temple in AD70 and the sign of His coming [parousia] and the end of the world.
Some points of interest are (1) Christ’s parousia (24:27) and the gathering together [episunago] of the elect (24:31); (2) many will come “saying I am the Christ” (Mt 24:5); (3) there will be false Christs and false prophets (24:4a) showing great signs (semeion) and wonders (teras) (24:4b); and (4) and “the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place.
(By the time the Romans had desecrated the temple in A.D. 70, cp. War of the Jews, 6.6.1, it was too late for anyone in the city to flee).
Prior to Christ’s coming, the false Christ, as opposed to many (polos), will appear, who John refers to as Antichrist (1 Jn 2:18), as opposed to the many (polus).
The Antichrist is a person who opposes Christ as Christ. 2 Thess and Rev 13 reveal that he is a counterfeit Christ.
2 Th 2:1 ...the coming [parousia] of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together [episunagoge] unto him,
2 Th 2:3 ... will not come until the rebellion [apostasia] occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed.
The Antichrist is the “man of lawlessness” who will lead the rebellion and cause the Great Tribulation that will occur before Christ’s coming. Parallels of the Antichrist with Christ in 2 Thessalonians and Acts:
2 Th 2: 9 The coming (parousia) of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan...
1Th 3:13 ... the coming (parousia) of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.
2 Th 2:3 the man of lawlessness is revealed [apokalupto]
2Th 1:7b the Lord Jesus shall be revealed [apokaluptsis]
2Th 2:9 after the working [energeia] of Satan with all power [dynamesi] and signs [semeion] and wonders [teras] lying
Ac 2:22 Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles [dynamesi] and wonders [teras] and signs [semeion], which God did by him in the midst of you
Paul portrayed the “man of sin” as a false christ. The antichrist will also claim to be God cp. (Matt 24:5). Paul describes it this way:
2Th 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.
John also portrays the Antichrist as a counterfeit christ:
Rev 13:3 one of its heads, as [hos] having been slain [esphagmenen] to death
Rev 5:6 a Lamb standing, as [hos] having been slain [esphagmenen]
Rev 13:14b ... the beast who has the wound of the sword, and lived [ezesen]
Rev 2:8b ... the First and the Last, who became dead, and lived [ezesen]
Both Christ and the Antichrist are assassinated and resurrected during a prophetic week. Christ’s prophetic week is a telescopic week and the antichrist is a continuous week.

ReplyDeleteRev 19:15a And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations:
Rev 19:17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;
Rev 19:18 That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.
That is Christ has to fulfill the second half of his week, and like the Antichrist, in his second half of his week, it will be characterized by warfare.
Zec 9:13 When I have bent Judah for me, filled the bow with Ephraim, and raised up thy sons, O Zion, against thy sons, O Greece, and made thee as the sword of a mighty man.
2Ma 2:18 As he promised in the law, will shortly have mercy upon us, and gather us together [episunagoge] out of every land under heaven into the holy place: for he hath delivered us out of great troubles, and hath purified the place.
Christ will also use regathered Israel; the Maccabbees also being a type for the future.
Christ mentioned the abomination spoken by the prophet Daniel. The abomination is mentioned twice in Daniel. In 11:31 Antiochus Epiphanes provides the type for the Antichrist (12:11). The two western kingdoms - Greece and Rome - provide the OT and NT antichrist’s respectively. Dan 11:25-35 deals with the type then jumps to the antitype at 11:36.
The little horn of Daniel 7, who appears after ten kings are on the scene, is the NT antichrist and the little horn of Daniel 8 is the OT antichrist. While the telescopic type-antitype telescopic prophecy of Daniel 9:24-27 concerns the NT antichrist and Christ, it is informed by the OT antichrist.
Da 9:26b and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood...
The Rebellion-Great tribulation begins after the assassination and resurrection of the Antichrist. The OT tribulation began, according to 2 Macc 5:5, after the rumour of the death of Antiochus in Egypt which led to a revolt in Jerusalem. 9:26b is the antitype of the 2nd century BC.
Da 11:36 And the king ... shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods,
Da 11:44b ... he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many.
Rev 13:5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.
Rev 13:6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
Rev 13:7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
Da 11:36 has its parallel in 2 Thess 2:4 and Rev 13:5-6; and Da 11:44b has its parallel in Rev 13:5-7. 11:44b refers to the beginning of the Great tribulation not an event inside the forty-two months.
Da 11:45 And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain;
Like Christ, the Antichrist’s capital city will be Jerusalem.

Hadrian provides a near-future type of the Beast and the Great Tribulation:
ReplyDelete"From about 100 AD onwards, the Jews were attacked even more fiercely for subverting the lower orders and introducing novel and destructive ideas - a charge that was to echo through the ages. So there were constant troubles in the diaspora cities, especially in 115-17.
"The last Jewish risings were precipitated by a wave of government hostility to the Jews under the Emperor Hadrian, who was in the East 128-132. Initially sympathetic to Judaism, he later swung into hostility... He came to dislike oriental religions in general, and developed a particular loathing for circumcision, which he classed with castration, a form of self-mutilation forbidden on pain of death. Hadrian introduced pan-Hellenistic policies throughout the East and one of his projects was to create a new, pagan polis in the ruins of Jerusalem, with a Roman temple dedicated to Jupiter on Temple Mount.
"Dio Cassius, the Roman historian who is our chief source for these years, says the Jews did not dare rise while Hadrian was in the East, though they armed secretly and built hidden fortifications... But as soon as Hadrian departed, the Jews of Judea struck and, says Dio, 'the Jews in the entire world also rose and joined them and created a great deal of trouble for the Romans secretly or openly, and even many gentile peoples came to their aid. The revolt lasted four years...
"The Roman vengeance was awe-inspiring. Fifty forts where the rebels had put up resistance were destroyed and 985 towns, villages and agricultural settlements. Dio says 580,000 Jews died in the fighting 'and countless numbers of starvation, fire and the sword. Nearly the entire land of Judea was laid waste.' In the fourth century, St Jerome reported from Bethlehem a tradition that, after the defeat, there were so many Jewish slaves for sale that the price dropped to less than a horse.
"Hadrian relentlessly carried through to completion his plan to transform ruined Jerusalem into a Greek polis. He buried the hollows of the old in rubble to level the site. Outside the limits he removed the debris to get at and excavate the rock below to provide the huge ashlars for the public buildings he set up on the levelled site... The city he built was Aelia Capitolina. Greek-speakers were moved into populate it and the Jews were forbidden to enter on pain of death" (Paul Johnson, A History of the Jew, pp.140-433).
The new temple "appears to have contained the statue of Hadrian, of which Christian writers speak... THE TOTAL PAGANISM OF JERUSALEM WAS THE FULFILMENT OF A SCHEME LONG BEFORE ATTEMPTED BY ANTIOCHUS EPIPHANES. IN ANOTHER RESPECT, TOO, THE MEASURES ADOPTED BY HADRIAN RESEMBLED HIS" (Emil Schurer, The History of the Jewish People in the Age of Jesus Christ - 175 BC - AD 135, pp.554-55).
"Hadrian decided that this must be the end. It was obvious to him that as long as this strange people kept up their curious religion they would consider Rome an oppressor and would refuse to become one with the Roman population. Hadrian prohibited the practice of Judaism. He forbade circumcision, the observance of the Sabbath, and the fixation of the calendar which was so important for the celebration of the holidays... Nevertheless, despite enemies and losses, the Jews continued to live. Even their national hopes were not completely destroyed. They still waited and hoped for the Parthian empire to grow strong and come to their deliverance, or for divine intervention to save Jerusalem from pagan hands" (Solomon Grayzel, A History of the Jews, pp.177-78).
It appears that I didn’t successfully post the two previous post before Hadrian. See if I can get it right this time:

Da 11:45 And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain;
Like Christ, the Antichrist’s capital city will be Jerusalem.
Hmm, Prince Philip dies and there's a volcanic eruption in the Caribbean, yet today Bob posts that fat people are more likely to get COVID, and PCG misunderstands Malachi's Message.
ReplyDeleteA change in priorities over BI and catastrophes?
Dennis says, in his Apr 6 post, that the eye that sees can't see itself.
ReplyDeleteIt can see itself, if it has a mirror, which is Christ.
Because it is Christ who enlightens the eyes with understanding. (Eph 1:18)
Thiel has to be the biggest idiot the church has ever produced, even worse than Rod Weinland!
