More from that other COG crackpot, David C Pack. Are there no men of integrity left in leadership positions that know this is all a lie?
It is tempting to say that the first period is ONLY 3.5 days. But consider: if it is ONLY 84 hours and ends exactly at a Sabbath, then we would know BOTH when it starts and ends—the exact hour! But many verses stress we don’t know the hour—and can’t think it up!
Luke 12:39 says “if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief (Christ) would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through.” It FINALY BECAME CLEAR that the goodman does NOT know the hour—meaning we must be in a CONSTANT state of spiritual readiness. This is the only way to ENSURE our individual lives are not “broken through.” (Yes, there is some evidence that Christ arrives at night…)
This period is simply some number of days—they are “the days of the voice of the seventh messenger.” They are certainly evil days, last days and days of the Son of Man. There is no place one can find out how many there are.
We STILL have EVERY reason to believe these start in Adar. And echoing yesterday, continue to watch the “wars, rumors of wars and commotions” that are really worsening in Europe—and spilling over to affect all people on earth. (Gas prices are now rising one penny every two hours in the United States.) These things ALONE suggest our day-to-day watch will NOT be long! Yes, we should watch every day, including the Sabbath, for when this begins. I repeat—we are now DAY-TO-DAY!
P.S. This update supplants ANY need for something more Monday.
Pack is such a liar. Every week he states a "fact" and then two to three days later has to cover up for the lie and say a new lie and then cover up that lie again on Friday or Saturday when he tells another lie.
ReplyDeleteWe should be grateful. Given Pack's track record, this should mean gas prices will soon stabilize or even decline a bit.
ReplyDeletePACK WRITES : (Gas prices are now rising one penny every two hours in the United States.)
ReplyDeleteMY RESPONSE : The cost of being in Pack's group with the "Common Doctrine" where you have to give EVERYTHING to him, is (in effect" a price of membership increasing to INFINITY per hour!
Hasnt he been on that "watch" for years now?
ReplyDelete"Hasnt he been on that "watch" for years now?"
ReplyDeleteAlmost every single Saturday for the last year he has said his christ was returning. Every single Saturday goes by and he has to have another excuse. The watching and waiting by his dumb sheeple is shocking. When will they wake up and realize Dave is a liar? His entire family understood that and left as have countless headquarters employees. The only ones Dave has left as his sycophants who drool at the mouth at the mere sight of him. So many of them tend to be younger beta boys who can't make decisions without Dave's approval.
"So many of them tend to be younger beta boys who can't make decisions without Dave's approval."
ReplyDeleteI attended RCG in Wadsworth for a while and was shocked at how the young men fawned all over David. It was creepy. All of them would dress and act like he did even though he usually treated most of them with disdain and ignored them unless he was angry with them.
Well, 11:41, Every year at Ambassadena, some freshman would decide to comb his hair exactly like Herbert W. Armstrong. He'd go to El Rancho, get him a tube of Brylcream, and comb his hair straight back, whether that style suited his head shape or not. And, then he'd start using HWA's favorite exclamations, like Hogwash, Balderdash, and Poppycock. Basically, the kid was drawing strength from acting in the valence of someome he perceived as being stronger, and more powerful.
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing more disconcerting than having someone acting in your valence, doing you to you, instead of exuding their own personality. I can see how the cruel aspects of Dave's personality would manifest themselves towards such individuals. Picking up on corporate culture and making adaptations to relate is one thing. Totally losing or subverting your own personality is quite another!
